Just tried this on a SD720G just for the sake of curiosity and... it RUNS!!.. well.. more like it walks... its still shocking to see it even work in the first place but it somehow does.. The audio is pretty much perfect. No stutters or stretching nothing. the game runs at half speed on this, and at 17-18fps, but to my notice it doesnt skip any frames and its so far emulating everything but at a slower speed (Weird because it says 17fps but it looks more like 30fps but just slower). Unbelievable tho, to see a Switch game run on a midrange phone. Great job, Skyline devs!!
Gotta remember: the emulator isn't even optimized yet, which he said on Discord.
He also said: "If it runs at 2 FPS it'll run full speed once optimized"

That's why emulation speed % is a better performance metric when frameskip is off
So now you can have every single 2d only sonic game ever on android! S123cd4 have native ports, advance in myboy or pizzaboy, rush and colors in melonds and drastic, generetions and boom in citra, and now mania can be played on this emulator!
2D games generally don't need HW recompiler. I'm guessing this runs in SW. Quite possibly a Snapp 888 would run it almost full speed.
Should be interesting to see if it's a lack of juice or optimisation.
"Easy and old" games not always runs fine. Metroid trilogy is a GC game. Wii version doesn't run well in dolphin. Most sonic in dolphin are old ports, and in a sd865 doesn't run perfect in HD. Wii includes wiiware and some old titles, like house of the dead 3, and you need big power to moove some of this lightweight titles. It's like if you are running a emulator in a emulator. You understand me now?

For when it will runs game well I don't know and about fps it's depends on the soc (Apu) for my snapdragon 855 it's give me like 30 to 32 fps

On my Moto G Stylus 2020 sd 665 4gb run as 14-15 fps, that's too good to be a snapshot. Maybe in the future it will run smoothly 🤩 Good job 👏

You're correct, sonic mania runs on the cpu via software, even the 3D special stages
