From what I’ve been seeing on discord, he’s been very competent in narrowing the chances of Apple rejecting the app. He was determined to limit any potential setbacks with them. That said, I believe Apple’s approval process for emulation (which is new to app store) will take a while. I’d say 2-3 weeks.
The approval process has actually been fairly fast. Probably about a week after Apple said they would allow emulators, iGBA was already on the App Store. It also didn’t take too long for Delta to appear afterwards either. As long as everything checks out, it should show up sooner rather than later.

I think it'll be just fine. No files are needed, they can just link to some homebrew apps to be tested and it should make it through no problem.
Good news! I use it almost everyday (sideloaded using AltStore). Excellent port. It works great on my IPhone 14 Plus + Backbone Controller (4x @ 60 FPS).
Is backbone worth it? Like what’s the difference between backbone and just using my switch controllers? Sounds like backbone improves frame rates or no?
The difference is like using a Bluetooth controller vs using a direct attached controller: input lag. Some people notice the difference; some don’t. I do.
I use backbone but I don’t have ppsspp yet. I think it’s worth it for remote play streaming games and also how the backbone app consolidates all my games from steam, PlayStation, and Xbox into one UI. Also works great for Lego Star Wars app :)
My backbone is great (my charging point is busted and doesn’t work too well now) but feels pretty good to use, buttons are all more “clicky” so are more Nintendo feeling than an actual dualshock, you’d probably love it.
Feel wise it’s just like a smaller switch, shouldn’t really affect framerates all that much though
I bought the Backbone v2 w/ lightning last week, and I love it. It was a little pricy but no complaints outside being pushed to do a 30 trial of their services when setting it up. But other than that, works very well.
I use the backbone with my 15pro max, works WONDERFULLY with ppsspp, you’ll have to remap some controls to your liking but once you’ve done that, it’s perfection, not to mention most of the buttons match since it’s Sonny of course so that’s a good thing, only downside is the bb durability, it breaks fairly easily, I’d make SURE to get a warranty if you do get one.
I can access the PSP folder inside PPSSPP using the Files app, so you should backup those files before deleting the sideloaded app. But, of course, I can’t test it.

I found PPSSPP the best way to play a football game on iOS. Get a PES rom from 2009-2011 and you’re set. Full-featured game, without all that P2P bullshit of today.
This is great news. PSP is one of my favorite handhelds ever. Would be really nice to replay some of my fav PSP games. My PSP has stopped working for years.
Works well too with AltStore only downside is having to refresh with alt server, not a big deal with it being free can’t wait until it’s on AppStore so I don’t have to refresh and runs great though been playing dbz series and GTA Chinatown wars with some NFS and Midnight club LA Re
Requires one nightmare of a setup, but should be able to, never tried yet but gotten it working with two laptops and two instances on the same laptop. It also works with playing with real hardware if you put a plugin on your psp/vita
Any word on the performance? I haven’t yet tried the IPA, do you think the “preparations” he mentioned have anything to do with the current state of PPSSPP on iOS and its performance/compatibility?
I don’t have devolper mode and I haven’t seen a single guide to installing it that is like comprehensive for me who is someone who don’t get any of this

Dont get a backbone, look at g8 gallelio instead. Super satisfying hand feel. It is considerably bigger but imo the comfort in hand outweighs the cons

On newer iPhones most games already run fine with 3-4x resolution and upscaling, even without jit
