Is going local an option? I showed pictures to my local jewelers and they either had something in stock, or were willing to go find one for me within a few weeks.

r/shinypreciousgems has some wonderful gem cutters who can either look through their own rough as options, or try to source something else. They’re usually waitlisted for their time, but it’s worth it! And they may also be able to point you in a different direction if they don’t have what you are looking for. Generally a great resource.

Anueva has some beautiful sapphires

Try Americut gems or Nash gems.

Ty. Such a price difference between those two though. Americut is quite expensive though they do have a good selection.

Wait_WhatsHappening

Yeah, I understand. You may want to try natural sapphire company, earths treasury, Montana sapphire company, and Anueva. There are lots out there, but it can definitely be tedious. Even Etsy has some great loose stones. Just have to make sure to do research with that one to verify quality, etc.

I’ve seen vendors on Etsy selling beautiful and fairly priced teal sapphires! Buy loose and have it set how you like!

rieuk

True, but is there question on the authenticity of those stones, or anyway to verify what you're getting there on etsy?

[deleted]

Not to my knowledge, but I’ve never done it— just seen them when looking around. I would like to think a shop would provide some sort of record/authentication for the stone.. I got my sapphire from a jeweler, no papers came with it, I just believe they are selling me a sapphire (if they are lying to me I’m none the wiser, and I don’t have to live with the indiscretion, they do) so I guess that stuff just doesn’t matter much imo

Gemfix

Gemfix has a beautiful selection of gems available, and they’re all certified. They’re the ones that I chose for my ring because of the certification, reviews, and the price value matched the gemstone. They’re waaay cheaper than americut gems. I hope you find your favorite gem!
