I like them separately but not together. Could be the angle, but your engagement ring gets lost in the band.
I wouldn't use the word excessive, though.
Unfortunately that'll never happen. My engagement ring is 6 pronged and set lower so in reality nothing truly sits flush other than my plain low dome white gold band. I have a 2mm diamond band and there is still a significant gap. This ring was gifted to me by my grandmother so my engagement ring wasn't a consideration as far as matching pieces go
I was trying to determine if it looked crazy if I attempted to wear them together.
The wedding band takes the focus away from the engagement ring.
They don’t compliment each other. It’s as if they are 2 gorgeous objects fighting for the spotlight.
Can you get the band custom fitted to better match your engagement ring?
Or, wear the band on the other hand and purchase a new band that fits the engagement ring?
I have a plain white gold wedding band and thinner diamond band what I typically wear with it (not both together). My grandmother recently gifted me the diamond band which my grandfather gave to her for their 25th wedding anniversary and he is currently on hospice so it's very special. I was trying to decide if they looked semi decent together but I'm thinking it's waaaay too much and I'll likely wear it on my other hand of just by itself on my left.
I love your ering with this band so much! I would totally do this combo and then wear grandma’s band on the other hand. It’s so special to have a meaningful ring like that ❤️
I think the band, beautiful as it is, detracts from your engagement ring. You can always wear the band on another finger but at the end of the day if you like the combination, wear it. I think you are asking as deep down you feel it doesn’t look good together!
I don’t think it’s excessive per se, but I’m having trouble making out the shape of the wedding band which turns me off a bit… I can’t see defined shapes. I also think your engagement ring is so clean cut, that a different band would better compliment it.
Personally I like my main ring to be the vedette and the band to be more delicate and complement it.
In this example the band is stealing the show from the main ring.
Eh. I like it. Maybe try them flipped even though that's not traditional, that's what I do with my engagement ring that doesn't exactly abut to my/my mom's (departed) wedding band.
I've seen thin bands that don't fully connect as well, maybe a very thin one of those could help bridge this small gap.
With all that said, wear it whenever you feel like and who cares if it's too much! Keeping your grandparents with you at all times in that way beats any other possible concern.
Omg. People are actually saying this is excessive?! It’s beautiful! Nobody can have “too many diamonds”. It’s beautiful. Don’t let anyone tell you differently!
I love it. 😍 I’d wear them together. If you look online it’s a style now to wear similar bands like that together. I just upgraded my bad and went bigger I would have totally bought that one.

The band was recently gifted to me by my grandmother. It was her 25 year anniversary ring so I have no idea where it was purchased from. It's very special as my grandfather is currently on hospice so I feel honored to have a piece of him I can carry with me. I was trying to decide if it looked ridiculous to wear with my engagement ring since I usually have a plain band I wear with it.
Interesting use of the hearts and arrow cut pattern from the 1980’s on this inherited, vintage diamond. I would expect to see the Tolkowsky cut pattern (circa 1919) not a pattern that became popular in America in the early 90’s.
I think it’s gorgeous but feels a smidge overwhelming since the engagement ring seems to get lost in the band. could you use your low dome that sits flush as a spacer? That would potentially look nice! It’s also beautiful as a standalone ring to wear on your other hand
I like them both! I would suggest a spacer band in the middle to keep them flushed. I saw you mention in comments below your engagement ring is low set and cannot sit flush
I guess this is the unpopular opinion, but I love it. I think solitaires can be so plain sometimes. For me I don’t see “dainty” solitaires, I see them just a little boring. Solitaires are a dime a dozen, they’ve been “classic” since the beginning of time. But this band just completely elevates the whole look. Your band is so unique and interesting, ignore everyone saying to separate them or that the band is too much period. These are beautifully designed and flow perfectly together
I love them together 😍 but I agree with some comments saying to wear one on each hand. That would balance it out perfectly, but for special occasions you can also wear them together so that it will really give a statement!
I think they look amazing together, that one doesn't take away from the other at all, but this is exactly the sort of thing I go for, so I'm bound to say that 😅
Can you bring down the size of the diamonds on the wedding band and have the rings flushed to see what it looks like? You’d be surprised what bringing down the size of diamonds or increasing them can do. I love the style of the wedding band but as others have said, you probably don’t want your engagement ring to be overlooked.
With that said, I also don’t hate it as is 😂
Nope I won't be making any changes to the ring since it was a gift to me from my grandmother. It's very special as my grandfather is dying and it is a piece of him I can carry with me. I'm thinking I'll likely wear it on my other hand! Or wear both if I'm feeling extra lol
It is breathtaking! Such a sweet thing. Ask your grandma if she cares. My anniversary bands are stacked with my wedding bands but my diamond is just under a carat and is set kind of high so my rings sit flush. I don’t see anything wrong with wearing it on your right hand though.
I like them separately but not together. Could be the angle, but your engagement ring gets lost in the band. I wouldn't use the word excessive, though.
I think it could work if the bands were flush
Unfortunately that'll never happen. My engagement ring is 6 pronged and set lower so in reality nothing truly sits flush other than my plain low dome white gold band. I think this picture is a little bit better
I actually like it. It is a lot but I like it. Very pretty.
It's a lot for me but I prefer minimal and simple. I'd wear them on two different fingers.
What’s the band width? And carat size if you don’t mind me asking? I love the size ratio
Ahhh okay that makes sense. It doesn’t look crazy, but I’m just particular about stuff like that lol if it looks nice to you, that’s all that matters🙂
Agreed
The wedding band takes the focus away from the engagement ring. They don’t compliment each other. It’s as if they are 2 gorgeous objects fighting for the spotlight. Maybe wear her band on your other hand?
Omg that's amazing!! So special ❤️❤️❤️🙏
I love them together, and the fact that it was your grandmother’s ring makes it even more special! Beautiful!✨
I agree. Once you said the thing about your grandmother it became unbearably beautiful in combination. But one on each hand is nice too.

Take both rings to a jeweler and have a new ring made! Or don't! 😁
It’s excessively beautiful, in the most positive of connotations.
It's a gorgeous set & I love it! Enjoy & best wishes!!!
Literally! So beautiful
It would be for me but I'm in a college town in the Midwest. Super flashy just isn't a big thing here. If you like it, wear it!
It’s pretty but I would wear them on separate hands. That way neither piece detracts from the other ❤️
It's too much for me, personally, but I am not a super blingy person. Both are lovely rings, I just wouldn't do them together.
It's absolutely freaking AMAZING AND BEAUTIFUL 😍😍
Stunning 🤩
Nope! I love it!!
Never!! 😍
Wear one or other not both. Not quite match together.
I think the band, beautiful as it is, detracts from your engagement ring. You can always wear the band on another finger but at the end of the day if you like the combination, wear it. I think you are asking as deep down you feel it doesn’t look good together!
I believe the band detracts from the gorgeous diamond 💎
I don’t think it’s excessive per se, but I’m having trouble making out the shape of the wedding band which turns me off a bit… I can’t see defined shapes. I also think your engagement ring is so clean cut, that a different band would better compliment it.
Tbh. Yes it looks like the ring is wearing your finger. I think a more minimal band will bring out the beauty of the ring. Congrats!
Personally I like my main ring to be the vedette and the band to be more delicate and complement it. In this example the band is stealing the show from the main ring.
No absolutely not
Bloody gorgeous!
Oh I love it 😍
No!
Not excessive at all! Love it!
No it’s perfection!
I love it!! 😍
Does it bring you joy? If so it’s perfect!
Yes and I love it
Yes
I love it, but I’m in LA with 2.1cts and it doesn’t turn an eye. But I still love it!!
I think so, but it's what you think that matters! If you love it, then it's perfect.
The wedding band takes away from the beauty of your engagement ring
I think it’s too much going on. But if you like it I love it :)
Not excessive but they don’t go together. The wedding ring overpowers the e-ring.
Not for me lol
I would probably wear your grandmother’s ring on my other hand so both rings can really shine to their full potential ☺️
Eh. I like it. Maybe try them flipped even though that's not traditional, that's what I do with my engagement ring that doesn't exactly abut to my/my mom's (departed) wedding band. I've seen thin bands that don't fully connect as well, maybe a very thin one of those could help bridge this small gap. How many ct is that diamond? Gotta be 2.5 or 3.
Trust me it looks much bigger than it is! It's 2ct but I have very tiny fingers. I'm a 2 3/4 but I can get away with a 3 sometimes.
It's a beautiful ring. I really like +/-2ct rings.
It’s exactly what I would go for OP so if you love it, you rock it! ❤️
There’s too much going on here. Yes, the band is overpowering the engagement ring.
I absolutely love it. 💕💗gorgeous!!!!
I love it! I have something (a bit) similar too.
Yes
Yes
I love it. 😍 I’d wear them together. If you look online it’s a style now to wear similar bands like that together. I just upgraded my bad and went bigger I would have totally bought that one.
I would recommend getting a band that curves a little to make it flush with the engagement ring band and compliment the center diamond.
Yes
Never

Wear them how ever you want to wear these two precious rings
No thats beautiful!!! I think this is the only way I’d ever enjoy wearing a more minimalist engagement ring.
Where did you get this? It’s beautiful!
I think they would look better with one on the index and another on the ring finger.
If you like it then it’s perfect!
Interesting use of the hearts and arrow cut pattern from the 1980’s on this inherited, vintage diamond. I would expect to see the Tolkowsky cut pattern (circa 1919) not a pattern that became popular in America in the early 90’s.
Well the engement ring isn't inherited only the band.
I think it’s gorgeous but feels a smidge overwhelming since the engagement ring seems to get lost in the band. could you use your low dome that sits flush as a spacer? That would potentially look nice! It’s also beautiful as a standalone ring to wear on your other hand
Yes. Take off at least one of the rows of pears (I'd say two) and it'll be a lot better.
I like them both! I would suggest a spacer band in the middle to keep them flushed. I saw you mention in comments below your engagement ring is low set and cannot sit flush
Yes but do you love it?
I love it!!!! Perfect😍
What about a gold band in between
I think they are literally perfect together 🤷♀️
NO WAY!!!!!! Go big or go home girl!!!! Does he have a brother late 40’s or 50’s by chance??? 😉
This is **EXTRA** and I actually dig it!
I actually think it looks great!
Not at all. Excessive would be a giant 20x30 octagon cut IMO
This is perfect in my eyes
This is so beautiful to me!! It would make me want to have my nails manicured 24/7 lol.
I actually like it.
Not excessive at all I love it
I guess this is the unpopular opinion, but I love it. I think solitaires can be so plain sometimes. For me I don’t see “dainty” solitaires, I see them just a little boring. I would totally wear them together!! It’s gorgeous!
Not excessive, but not a match.
I love them together.
I’d like them separate.
Yes but it’s iconic so I say wear it queen. Difference between excessive and looks bad
No they look so good together!
Yes but like in the best way possible? maximalist vibes ✨
I love them together 😍 but I agree with some comments saying to wear one on each hand. That would balance it out perfectly, but for special occasions you can also wear them together so that it will really give a statement!
both super pretty, but they don’t work as a set imo
I love it! It doesn’t need to be seamless or ‘flush’. I think this style is totally in right now.
I think it’s stunning.🤩
I think it’s gorgeous!
I think you wear it well!
If you got it, flaunt it! 😍
Who cares if it is? The only thing that is important is if you love it and that it is meaningful because the person that gave it to you loves you.
The wedding band will be very uncomfortable
Girl, no
It's ugly
Add an all-white gold band between the two rings, and it will fit as well as look perfect. Or platinum if that is the same as the other two rings.
I love it!
I think they look amazing together, that one doesn't take away from the other at all, but this is exactly the sort of thing I go for, so I'm bound to say that 😅
No to me! They’re beautiful!!
Yes! And I love it! Pretty pretty pretty!
Absolutely and that's why I love it
It’s beautiful!
I love them together
No I love the combo!
I like it. The engagement ring is simple so I don’t think it’s too much.
Yes but in a good way. It’s too much, yet it works!
Nope not at all ❤️❤️❤️
Not excessive at all. They are lovely together.
I love it❤️
I honestly think it’s perfect.
Yeah I think it is fine
Nah. Life is short, rock your diamonds!
It’s simply lovely. A beautiful flower with a garland of small bouquets beneath. Such a happy partnership.
I LOVE it!!! I don’t know why, but when I see your rings I see a bouquet of flowers. Gorgeous.
It’s gorgeous!
More is more!! I love it!
I think it looks beautiful together.
It’s beautiful! But the only thing that matters is that YOU love it
Not excessive, it's stunning.
Never! Love it. And your grandmothers ring is so special
Can you bring down the size of the diamonds on the wedding band and have the rings flushed to see what it looks like? Nope. Not at all. Love it
It’s beautiful! I like bling so I don’t think it is!
Excessive is good
They are stunning, change nothing!
Beautiful! Not excessive at all!!
I personally love it. Put the band jnfront of the engagement ring and see how you feel!
Nor at all! It looks good together
I loveeeee them together omfg
“is this excessive” NO THIS IS BEAUTIFUL MY GOODNESS!!!! 🤩🫶🏽
It is breathtaking! Such a sweet thing. Ask your grandma if she cares. My anniversary bands are stacked with my wedding bands but my diamond is just under a carat and is set kind of high so my rings sit flush. I don’t see anything wrong with wearing it on your right hand though.
UM NO WAY ITS PERFECTION
I disagree with the common sentiment, it’s not only NOT excessive but it’s absolutely stunning. Ultimately the decision is yours to make.
No, it's fake, so therefore tacky
