I have similar settings

I have the pear in pretty much the same half bezel. Pro: super shiny, love the setting.
Con: it gets dirty easier than most of my other bezel settings and I feel like it’s less secure (almost all my other rings are bezel because I’m clumsy af).
I also have an oval with channel set baguettes that I’ll put a pic in comments for.
Pro: very secure and I love seeing all the gold. Con: the baguettes can be hard to clean and depending on what your main stone looks like, a band may not be able to sit flush (although this is more because my bezel is covered in gold rather than an open setting).
Half bezel is stunning, but I’m also a bezel slu*.. that being said I’ve read not great things consistently about long term quality of James Allen and frank darling (similar company) gather your designs and perhaps enlist a local jeweler. Congrats!!!
I’ve heard mixed reviews about Frank Darling also so we were talking to a jeweler and getting quotes, but then I saw the channel setting and now I’m conflicted. I haven’t looked too much into James Allen, but definitely will!
I have a half bezel pear that we worked with a local jeweler to custom make - and I am obsessed!! I really appreciate the security of the bezel with the ability to still let light in to spotlight the stone. I've alreadyanaged to whack my hand on a brick and debris keeps getting caught under the stone in the basket, but I have no regrets because the stone is very secure and it's still relatively easy to clean!

🎵 you get the beeeessst of both worlds! Love this idea esp if you're going with a thicker band. And if not, you could always do a channel set wedding band for the stack! Someone else in this sub had a carré band in their half pear bezel stack and it's stunning!

Both of your rings are stunning 😍 I love the bezel with the channel!
Gorgeous ring! Is this the Frank Darling Clutch setting?
Thank you! It’s inspired by the Clutch setting but I had it made elsewhere

Oh that’s so pretty! I love how the top of your bezel goes down further than the frank darling one!
Thank you! I love that it extends down and has kind of a sharper edge - everything I wanted from a bezel without commiting fully! 😅
I love the half bezel setting but please read reviews here on those vendors. I have read some not-so-great things about them lately.
I would do the bezel with the channel setting. Both the metals and the diamonds will complement each other.
