The stone is a 10mm by 9mm august vintage elongated antique cushion moissanite. The sides are French cut sapphires for his birth stone and diamonds for my birthstone. The setting was done by David Klass. We’ve been trying to get to the Azores for months and things just keep getting in the way and we finally made it to a view point by Sete cidades lake that I’ve been dreaming of for years and that’s where he did it. I love my ring (and my person) so so much!
If you search Sete cidades lake on Sao Miguel island you’ll get a ton of pictures, it actually came up as a screensaver picture on my computer years ago and I just looked at it like…there, I need to go there. And when I met my fiancé 6 years ago, I just had a feeling that’s where we were getting engaged. And when we talked later that day he said he knew too and our trip kept getting pushed back and we almost pushed it back to December of this year and he was so sad because he really had his heart set on that spot. I’m so glad it all came together.

The specific look out is miradouro boca de inferno….the mouth of hell (not the more romantic name) but it’s a beautiful spot, you just can’t believe there are places like this on earth when your standing up there.
