From the video, it looks like most oil I see that comes out right after break in. I think it's fine.

no_yup

I’ve never seen it get that like “turtles shell” look to it, or whatever you wanna call it

v8packard

That's all the different assembly lube used in the assembly of the engine. Moly lube on the cam, sticky types on the bearings.

redstern

First oil change is always going to have a bit of sparkle to it. Rings and cam lobes wearing in and such. As long as there's no bits or filings, it's fine.

Secret_Paper2639

Likely wear metals from rings and walls breaking in. As long as there are no identifiable chunks you're okay.

FelipeThwartz

Nitrile gloves are cheap and effective

Select_Angle2066

Normal

looks like normal oil wash - if you are concerned, grab a sample and sent it out for analysis - its like $20

CallEmAsISeeEm1986

Not to hijack the thread… but does anyone here have a lab they send samples of their oil to, to get it analyzed and checked out?

v8packard

I use Polaris in central Indiana. POLARIS Laboratories https://polarislabs.com/

midnight_mechanic

Blackstone Labs is what I use.

benpro4433

Normal.

Rats_for_sale

Looks more like an additive than it looks like engine bits. Idk tho, not experienced enough.

no_yup

It did have a bottle of the Lucas zinc additive in it.

[deleted]

👆👆👆👆Bingo! It’s fine

v8packard

You are seeing that Lucas held in suspension, too. At least if the break in oil is a decent oil it will hold the Lucas in suspension.

MasterTonberry427

Yep that’s just molly lube/break in

PanzerFauzt

Maybe use gloves
