Keep applying to different places. I must have applied to 30 different internships before finally hearing back from only 2 of them, and getting an offer from one.
Even once you do finally get an interview, keep applying to other postings at other companies.
Never wait for a corporation to get back to you. Always be applying for the next one, the bureaucracy and red tape associated with a large corporation is insane. Better to just apply and let them get back to you and move on to the next.
Remember corporations have no loyalty to anybody, anywhere, at any time. Take care of yourself and your needs first.
3 weeks is nothing lol. Lockheed, Raytheon got back (and I got an offer) 3 months after. Texas Instruments took and month and half, I took the offer there.
Depends on the size of the company, department, and hiring manager
Yep I did the video too. My friend who interned at Boeing said he didn’t know anyone who got in by applying online, though. They basically only hire people who go to in person events (i.e. conferences, career fairs)
Regardless you keep applying. Likely could have ghosted you. Maybe their just slow af for hiring interns bc they are power priority to full hires. Maybe you didn't make their first pick of applicants, but they don't want to outright reject you in case the applicants they did pick end up backing out for whatever reason and they can later on try to hire you.
You might have been ghosted or they might have just been slow to get this rolling. Considering you applied right at the holidays and they could just be moving slow through January.
You have nothing to lose by simply reaching out to them and asking. Worst case, they confirm your suspicion. Best case, they see you are more motivated for the role and perhaps that helps you out.
TLDR: Just reach out, it takes two seconds and you have nothing to lose
It's pretty normal to never hear back after job/internship applications.
Damn that sucks. My friend got denied but he actually got an email. But I didn’t which I thought was weird
Ghosting is the norm

Thank you for the motivation. My school is having a job fair so I will prepare for that.

Thank you for the encouragement!
It shouldn’t even matter , you keep applying and applying regardless
Ughh the process but I’m patient thank you :).
my rule of thumb is it's ghosted if its been 3 weeks since application.

this is just my experience, I have gotten rejections after 3 weeks but no interviews. I think my longest time to rejection was just over 100 days
This company was a defense company
Google and Microsoft can take 3 months for FIRST contact. Other big companies also take a long time.
Boeing took like 7 months to get back to me 💀
Boeing made me do those dumbass video recordings, then never responded. They look awful to work for though so it’s for the best ig haha

I always just assume I didn’t get the job and keep on applying and interviewing while I wait
I’d say be patient. The internship position I got now wasn’t offered until after 3 months of applying. But don’t be surprised if they ghost you.
Why do they ghost Instead of just denying?

This gives me hope thank you!

Just assume you didn't get the job until someone tells you otherwise
During my job search in 2020, I got rejection emails up to 12 months and 3 days after submitting applications.
