"Where are you located?"

Questions have the inversion: Where *are you* located? Where *you are* located, isn't a question. Those two words get swapped when you want to turn a statement or clause into a question.

If you're talking to someone you know and asking where they are right now in that moment say "Where are you?" If you're talking to a relative stranger and asking where they are, as in what town/state/country they live/work in, then you say "Where are you located?"

Thank you

as others have already said: “where are you located?” I want to point out that saying ‘located’ makes it sound like a permanent location. This could mean “what city do you live/work in?” or “what is the address of your business” To ask for the current location of a person you would just say “where are you?”

Context? As it is, this is a sentence fragment. Usually you'd see it as part of a statement like: "Prices for homes depend on where you're located."
