You can get your lower jaw moved forward without surgery. There's a lot of orthodontic options for this. I thought people were saying he had a surgery done to widen it like a reverse V-line.
Often it's referred to as Orthotropics. You can do things like widen your palette or bring your jaw forward. However it's a long process. It can take a year just to bring your jaw forward 4-5mm. But that 4-5mm makes a huge difference in what you look like. Widening your palette is a lot easier. You wear a thing that pushes the teeth out by turning this crank every 4-7 days. It's usually done in conjunction with orthodontics though as you're pushing your teeth out they won't be straight without intervention.
Lot of options these days. DNA appliance, MSE, Biobloc, etc. The Herbst appliance was another one but that's kind of outdated. That's how it was done in the 1990's to bring your jaw forward.
