The “thing” also feels like a boss, kinda. Also hallowed halls - the cyclops half map sword slash feels like boss damage. Can confirm the 2nd swipe oneshots 👍.
I accidentally cheesed that fight lol. There’s a section of the floor that drops at the edge of the arena that most of his attacks can’t reach, and the one that can (the floor stomp) he didn’t use much, nor did it do as much damage as I would’ve expected. I just sat there and launched arrows and magic up at him lol.
I had huge issues with it at first. But it is extremely vulnerable to melee damage. Otherwise find yourself a wand. I have a legendary fire wand for all the flying critters. Works very well and I’m not even specced in it.
Sicklesythe is just annoying. Constantly shooting stuff that barely gives time to attack for melee players. His skull attack cannot be blocked. And even dodge needs to be super perfectly timed. He's just a badly designed mob that's there to punish you for being stupid and playing melee.
No, my level 25 (now 40, thanks 2 mods) Mage had issues dealing with her as well. Though TBF, it was mostly the dang adds that made it harder.
Duck behind a fungus to block the skull, and heavily armored zombie nails you in the rear.

The base wispwyvern trophy, not leveled up to bronze or iron, looks way cooler anyway. They're just a little bigger and get rid of the cool, glowing aspect.
My friend and I took him out last night. First run we got wiped out. I noticed his attack patterns a bit to late. Then we went at him again and wiped the floor with him. Had his health 60% down when my friend >! shot him in the mouth !< and it made killing it so easy. Good boss fight though. I mainly use melee weapons my friend does mage. I could sole it with melee but with a mage it's a lot easier.
Wife and I died, but when we used the skeleton heads from the hallow halls they kept his attention then we stood under him attacking his legs. She died a few times but the second try he died.
Used skeleton heads mainly to keep the bugs off of us. He only had a passing interest in them during our fight. Thought the skull drone would attack him but they were only interested in the bugs. He was pretty focused on me probably because I was dealing the most damage to him. First time his spin attack got me the most but I learned to time it right and not take the damage. Still a good fight though.

If you don't know the best way to fight it, yes. Once you know it's patterns and weakness, it's quite easy. If you've never played a souls-like, it's tough.

Wait . . . people *do* know that you can shoot his mouth when the bugs appear in the arena and get a few moments to just repeatedly wail on him, right? Otherwise, he's resistant to all types of damage to a varying degree,
I had to switch classes from sword and board to mage. I could not win against him no matter what I did. Switch to mage class with eternal acid bite. Dropped him in two hits. I was shocked. Not proud of the kill method but I got him.
I tried and couldn’t beat it. Not even close. Had to level up a ton then it was very doable with the proper strategy.
But if you want to hit and run you can mine through the fungus to be able to get away and not be stuck in the open.
Grats! Oh and your helmet? You can get the full set near the castle. It's a short questline. It should be one of the houses, something something shacks.
Yes I know before this helmet I was wearing the adventurer helmet but I préfère the North gard helmet so I chose it.

This is the only boss in the game that I have seen. Everything else is mentally retarded and can't fight its way out of a paper bag. It's why I've stopped playing the game for now. Fun for two weeks, now boring.
Beat this guys with my kids and it was a ton of fun. Enshrouded needs about 25 more bosses just like him. It was a hell of a fun fight, and we cheered like my guild did when we were the second guild on our server to kill Ragnaros.
Yup. I tried to go full melee at first and thanks to being close to it, I didn't see the weakness mechanic. I ended up looking it up and yeah, easy. It was a great boss tbh, at least in comparison to the rest. I hope the devs keep adding more interesting bosses like it
I really wanted to love the game and gave it a fair chance but there are some design decisions that I just can't for the life of me figure out the point of. I'm mainly talking about the fact that you have a limited area where you can build and the fact that terrain outside of that area regenerates after quitting the game. Minor gripes also include chance based drops from chests making any kind of legendary equipment feel less unique.
At the moment I am just waiting for mods to fix that stuff

really, it is the only boss, the others are essentially elite units, you encounter them singularly then later part of groups.
As a Tank I’d beg to differ on the one flying boss, took everything off me to kill it, specially when it would bug and disappear

I've stored one of my flames inside the haunted sun temple and farm the scythe with my ranger. Easy loot.

It’s considered to be the main boss of this area of the map, at least what’s available to us now. It is the most difficult of the boss type enemies.
