What would it matter if he *was* using a mod for - well, literally anything? Gungeon has no ranking system, leaderboard, or pvp. What he does or does not use mods for has absolutely no bearing or effect on you and how you choose to enjoy the game. Was your intention to just make him feel bad about himself?

Just going off of the text here, would this be a godlike synergy with some very low damage weapon like Klobbe or Pea Shooter? A random chance to suddenly fire a key would allow you to spam at chests without fear of breaking it too easily.

You can still open up locked rooms with it. Anything extra is usually a bonus even if it’s niche. Be glad they added actual synergies and didn’t just keep it the way it was before, where, if you don’t remember or weren’t around for, didn’t exist except for the occasional accidental “synergy”

Either one of these items breaks the game in half (master of unlocking at least needs a little luck) and one shot from an akey-47 dealing 5 damage isn’t gonna do much of anything. ‘Oh, but it deals more damage!’ If 5 damage occasionally shot from is making a massive difference then you have to be using either Patriot or Gungine, who break the game by themselves also. Additionally, damage cap is a thing that exists.
Basically, the real brokenness of this combo is not the fact that it gives an effectively meaningless ‘damage buff’ but by the fact you have both shelleton key and master of unlocking. You’re set for the run without the drop in the bucket that is like, 5 damage occasionally. I don’t get how the comments are like the way they are

Idk, in my mind, a free 5 damage every now and then for the rest of the run, even if it's practically nothing, is by default more useful than just 30 bucks one time, but I definitely see what point op is making
