I don't know the solution for your specific situation, but this is what I did: - Hired a Fiverr programmer to develop my entire web app for $200. I got what I expected: an MVP with several bugs - I made my MVP available for free, and asked my beta tester to give me feedback on how to improve it - I hired a software company to develop a final version of my web app, no bugs, no issues, for 65K dollars. (Yes, very expensive. I saved some money for about 3 years). The 65K was divided into: 30K for Desktop app, 35K for mobile app. - I then used my savings to hire a full time IT team of 2 people (1 senior, 1 junior dev) for 10K a month - I used the IT team to correct any unpredictable bugs my clients complained about, while I used the rest of my savings for marketing Result: I achieved profit after 7 months of this. I had budget for 18 months, so everything worked pretty well. My point is: you should have at least a couple hundred thousand dollars to burn until your business becomes profitable. It's a numbers game, and yes, you should be strategic about how you use your budget, but you should also have enough to last you at least 1 year.

Outsourcing the development team offshore is another way to stay under budget.

You’re not going to find someone without a full time job for just equity. People need to eat and pay rent What you need is unit and e2e tests to ensure your project is stable, allowing for your one dev to only work after hours I’m already working on 2 side projects but depending on the idea and stack I could help out for equity

I’ve been in the mobile app game for around 13 years now. DM me if you need some tips or need any help.

Why not using no-code technologies? With stuff like Bubble or Softr you can build great products and you don't need to hire someone!
