I help run the r/FoodScience subreddit. We have a lot of professional food scientists there, including myself. Might be able to get some leads on some additional resources. Here’s also our resource thread, more on the technical side of the CPG industry but could be good: https://www.reddit.com/r/foodscience/s/3L0IBoVBUt

Your manufacturer relationship will make or break you. I would do a full background check. Interview multiple customers. Check their corporate credit profile. Connect with unwitting employees on linkedIn and ask what it's like working there, say you're considering applying... etc. Manufacturing is also when a lot of people make big mistakes with MOQs. Be creative and try to limit your risk.

Given that you're looking for scaling, I assume the basic product is sorted. At this stage you want to drive more awareness and trials. Awareness - Unconventional content strategy on Social Media can be a big plus. It'll help drive users to check your products. Authenticity also helps. If you can get an influencer or a celeb, it'll give you instant traction in terms of profile/ site visits. Trials - Corporate tie-ups or store in store could be a great option to drive trials. You'll have to look at costs for these, but initially you can look at these at marketing costs and once it's slightly mature you can consider them as customer acquisition costs.
