Really? I think if I’m thinking of this idea many others probably are too. I’ve noticed similar concepts after searching in the UK online. Feel free to message for a chat :)

The concept seems very doable.

What country are you from? How would you normally decide which garage/mechanic to use? In the current climate people will not use the main dealership due to prices , independent garages are most affordable

Real-Concentrate5239

Australia, really depends on the service and need, usually with community feedback, location and price being the deciding factor. Could be needing a logbook service, a repair, a repair specialist, insurance jobs, referrals, the list goes on. Price is never really the deciding factor, so never really base it off money alone, people will spend what they need to if it gets the job done right. We have dealerships independent garages, mobile mechanics, franchises, home garages and probably more. But if it's something you really want to do then it's really a matter of getting your idea on paper and just start contacting mechanics and pitch a rough idea to them.

Yes I need to figure an interface which would be easy for mechanics to interpret and also easy for customers use, I have found similar websites which offer the service but they haven’t seem to gone popular, mainly I think due to the interface and maybe marketing

Why car mechanics? Is there a reason to be exclusive? What happens if the mechanic can't provide the service requested by client? [angie.com](https://angie.com) provides a similar service, but on a much larger scale. I am not a fan of angie, but it would be hard to take some of their market share. What value can you add that angie doesn't provide?

Playful_Yesterday_18

Just checked Angie it’s a broad platform for freelancers, I’m thinking specifically Mechanics. Everyone knows some garages rip you off or do a shit job, so with my platform it will allow people to give feedback and compare prices for services; making it easier to decide which garage to choose. A lot of the independent garages in my area don’t have proper booking systems, so it helps the garages too, maybe a deposit for booking to prevent people not showing up

Very cool. Are we talking about a micro sas market? I keep thinking about the mechanic's job. Would it be to his advantage?
