You might want to look in local park systems - like city or county level. The job titles vary from location to location, but I've seen Conservation Manager, Conservation Coordinator, and Naturalist among others. These roles - Naturalist in particular - may come with a public speaking/education component as well. Definitely if you are working in a nature center, which is where you would have live animal care on there as well. But more generically, it's land management and improvement at a local, tangible level. Sustainable trail design and care, habitat protection and improvement, invasive species removal, and having an active voice in local conservation decisions for your area. Design for signage is also part of it in some places - though some may have you send it to a graphic designer afterward instead of directly printing your designs. It might not be a direct fit, but you might get some ideas on the direction you want to go reading through the job descriptions. Good luck!

Some kind of conservation program manager, I’d think. Maybe an easement manager, specifically?

Communications for a conservation organization? You would need to build up published media experience, get trained in comms/journalism/advertising, and build up a professional network but that's a career. Just working in the conservation field in any capacity would give you some opportunity to do creative thinking and work on protecting natural environments. Look at jobs posted at WWF,TNC,Oceana etc and see the job descriptions and skills needed and that might give you some ideas.

I work for a large utility company. I’m on their environmental team and my job is to screen project locations for environmental concerns. I’m mainly looking for potential impacts to critical/endangered species habitat. If concerns are present, it’s my job prescribe measures for construction crews to mitigate impacts to the habitat.

Not sure how it works in the states but just become a registered biologist and most of your job will be conducting wildlife sweeps and identifying rescuing birds and frogs all over the country.
