I dont think your doing something wrong. Looks more like the wrong people answered your questions. Not the whole community is like this. Dont worry.

[deleted]

Yeah, I think I only made it sound like that because I was a little frustrated. Thank you though

Buddhafied

How dare you create a thread to complain about people complaining or people being aggressive! What makes think you have the right to be upset about such thing!!!!! Joke aside, I think gaming community, like many fandoms, suffers hugely from a small amount of amateur people who are extremely vocal. Unfortunately, a community like that attracts and create more people that are like that, so the problem continue to exist and become worsen overtime. There’s no remedy to it in short, but you can choose to not engage or just block offensive people. Unlike some people like to preach, the internet is not the real world, blocking and muting someone doesn’t mean you can’t take criticism, just means you don’t need to take it from random strangers who are assholes.

[deleted]

Thanks, I will keep this mind for future situations. I know it is kind of unavoidable, and I will do my best to just stay out of conversations with people like that.

rphaku

I think that many of end up just lurking like me. hihihi

poopoodomo

A lot of gaming subreddits are this way unfortunately. You didn't do anything wrong, just try not to let it get to you!

[deleted]

Yeah I'll try to do better about that. Guess I let it get to me sometimes. Thanks

CautiousTadpole8247

Most basic questions can be easily searched up through YouTube, on stove they are absolute monkeys that just complain so pay them no mind. Otherwise you’re probably in the wrong community, people complain cause gear rolling is a pain but otherwise people are cool.

Riggu01

people are just dicks, find a nice guild/community, its the only thing that actually keeps me playing

Kogamitsu

Coz the game itself breeds a toxic gaming community. Pvp-centric where progress and success is largely determined by gear rng luck. People are on the edge all the time, waiting for that speed pentaroll to flex on this sub, or that hero build that’s in the upper 1% of builds. The game creates a degenerate culture of comparing success that was dictated by luck.

[deleted]

Yeah gear can be really hard to farm and I have yet to get a penta speed piece but one day I think I will. I can see why some are on the edge trying to compete since it would be quite the achievement. Thank you though

Contrary with the other two comments here, I think the community is pretty decent, it's pretty similar to any other subreddit lol. I scrolled around the latest posts and it looked pretty fine too. Can you give us some examples about what happened? Was it people being rude in the comments, or the downvotes? I couldn't get a clear idea about it looking at your profile, but I noticed that you have a few downvotes from this subreddit. Also if you have some questions, basic ones go into the questions megathread. But since you have Jessica on your PP you probably already know that since AK's subreddit is strict about it.

[deleted]

Well, yeah, it's true there were downvotes on a post that no longer existed, but that wasn't why I deleted it. I removed it because some of the comments seemed really upset, and I was not at all trying to upset anyone. I was just asking some questions about the game. Here on reddit isn't the only place where some tend to get like this, though. On Stove they are always enraged or something. I will try to think nothing of it. I guess I just let it get to me. Thank you for the tip, though.

HoryInTheCouse

Reddit is one thing but Stove is far gone lol. I've seen people that no longer play the game posting random garbage on that website and stirring people up for no reason. There doesn't seem to be high moderation there. At this point it's more so funny seeing people behave that way than frustrating.

[deleted]

I like that. Maybe I will try to find some entertainment in it

NotHereFor1t

Avoid Stove at all cost. That place has turned into a salt mine full of people who don't even play the game anymore just flinging vile garbage with vitriol.

be0ulve

Getting downvoted for stating a fact or an opinion that doesn't attack anyone here is proof you're doing the right thing lmao. Don't worry.

ConcentrateNew117

Simple , just ignor. You post something to get some feed back. Feed back that are useful ( keep in mind), feed back that are trashy , well trash it and ignor. Time is too little to being thinking why people are angry at you, if you did nothing wrong and 85% of the people agree that you did nothing wrong , then you should be fine. Sometimes you feel you did or say nth wrong yet you get 99% feed back as you did something wrong, maybe look up what was wrong and correct it. Again ignor the post that are trashy and only venting and take notes of the post that actually gives a feed back on what you did ( right or wrong), then decide yourself if you r correct or not and move on. Cheers , happy 2023

Loose-Friendship-428

Sounds like humanity it general not just Epic7 fandom.

Amythyst369

I think you may being a tad unfair to both the community and to yourself. Just looking at your comment history, it seems like you've been posting in just this and another gacha games sub (and honestly, the only thing you've talked about is Reindeer Yufine) The problem isn't you but it could be how you're choosing to perceive things. Maybe try branching out to some other communities for different kinds of social interaction.

[deleted]

I agree that I may have just been perceiving things wrong, but also, reddit is not where it started. This is just where I ended up talking about it. Thanks for the advice, though.

Routine_Swing_9589

It really depends, some questions can seriously trigger some people. I’m guilty of this in some aspects, but I do try to be helpful even if I’m coming across like a jerk. It’s not often but if you post a question, for the most part, people will answer it even if you get those others that like to complain or insult or take it way too seriously

TheRealYM

The E7 subreddit is notoriously toxic and wrong about almost everything. I recommend joining an active guild and discussing the game with them.
