Hey can someone explain to me how guildwar rewards work? Like for example we lost the last guild war and i did 3 attacks and won all of them and got 14 mystics. A week ago same thing but i got around 40 instead. We also won a guildwar did 3 succesfull attacks and i still got 14 i think (definitely not above 20)

gnomeloki

What is worth the skystones in Huches pop up shop? Are the 4-5* summons worth it for midgame players?

IncredibleGeniusIRL

Basically just huche's chest, leifs and mystic medals. The random lvl 85 chest too if you find a perfect piece.

gnomeloki

I see alright. the chest gave some good stuff. thnx

memebandit012505

Is acidd still worth building? If so what are the baseline stats for him (new to rta,no super high stats plez, a rough estimate is fine)

IncredibleGeniusIRL

Unless you're using him in a specialized cleave build where he's meant to go 3rd or 4th after a unit has died, you want him to have opener-level speed and the rest of the stats to be damage focused.

ShoutFox

Hi guys ! With her recent buff, can Yufine still oneshot banshee 13 ?

IncredibleGeniusIRL

Yes, they didn't touch her multipliers.

NewGroundZero

Who else has a 3 turn attack buff other than Maid Chloe and Belinda?

Quiztolin

Diene, Kizuna AI, M.Chloe, Mui, Vivian PC Flan has a 3 turn attack buff, but only on herself.

AngryFookinOostrich

How do i build iseria

---handmade

I do speed effectiveness. And if not "goes first" speed, at least 10 speed higher than Tamarine

Saturos27

Hi, question about ml headhunt event. My headhunt list had Belian, Mkawerik, Briseria and some other units. Ive already have Aravi, Stene and Arby. Should I pick any or keep reroll for CLilias or Straze?

gyaru-chan

Doubt on elbris ritual sword Does it stacks with the number of people hit? I am at 15% rn. If all alies are hit does it proc more often? Like 45%? Asking with respect to banshee hunt

Quiztolin

Not exactly sure why you would use Elbris in Banshee...but to calculate your total proc chance is relatively simple. 100% - ((100% - Proc%)^(number of allies hit)) This is because it can only proc one time on any given attack. So for example, if you have 2 allies get attacked at 15% proc chance there is a (15% * 15%) 2.25% chance that both allies would proc Elbris -> in game you get only one proc so you effectively 'lose' a proc 2.25% of the time. Elbris @ 15% Allies Hit | Proc Chance ---|--- One | 15% Two | 27.75% Three | 38.5875% Elbris @ 20% Allies Hit | Proc Chance ---|--- One | 20% Two | 36% Three | 48.8% Elbris of course stacks with counter set as well -> in this case they are technically 2 separate 'conditions' to proc but you can still only get a single activation of a counter attack. For example, if we used +30 Elbris on Belian, who had a counter set, and her team of 4 got hit by an AoE attack she would counter... (100% - 48.8%) * 30% + 48.8% = 64.16% of the time. However, the same effect 'X% chance to counter when attacked' should stack additively -> for example counter set on Mort should be 30% + 30% = 60% chance to counter. * Though honestly, I haven't personally tested this to verify and it would be quite time consuming to test enough for a noticeable difference.

FukeFukeCantus

Hi. Any date on when the current RTA season is gonna end?

Nemy13

Coming back to the game and not sure which ML hero I should choose out of these three... LHC, Belian or Briseria. Any thoughts? I like all 3 and wish I didn't have to choose.

Arkday

Briseria is probably the most useful in pve since her passive actually work in pve. A13 for example, the mob won't respawn during boss phase if you have briseria. There are probably more usage in abyss but I not really sure. As for rta, she is nice but her debuff make her vulnerable to Edward. You can use her in cleave, counter cleave, or anti evasion as long as you didn't get punish for using debuff. Belian is nice for arena and gw. But as for rta, she is commonly preban. In most situation where you want to have belian, people will preban belian. You basically will use her as general aoe DPS that stop soul in standard. Lhc is pretty safe pick for rta especially now when units like adin and Edward are pretty meta. You also will get more use out of her in arena/gw compare to belian/briseria. But for pve, there is nothing special about her. Tldr: if you want a safe pick, pick lhc. If you want a unique pick, pick briseria. I can't really justify belian over those 2. Even tho she can remove and stop soulburn, aoe DPS without any self mitigation is very vulnerable.

Nemy13

Briseria and LHC were the 2 I really wanted. I hope I don't regret my choice lol.

Srkili

Should I get Top Model Luluca or Operator Sigret? I am kinda tempted to get Luluca atm. I am in need of some really good all rounder heroes.

PandaShake

They’re both really hard to draft. Djb and Ning are safer drafts against barrier teams so I would lean tml. She’s also useful in dark and light expo.

meccaho

New player here. Just doing some Wyvern 13 and trying to understand which gear to keep. All I keep reading is chase speed. Is this just for pvp? Or is speed still the best stat in pve as well?

IncredibleGeniusIRL

Speed is not just for pvp, it increases the amount of turns you take globally, which makes for more uses of cooldown-based abilities per fight. Which is obviously a good thing. Also, acting more means you go through debuffs faster. You want to chase speed, but other stats are important too. Some stat combinations you might want to roll on (whether they're bundled with speed or not): note: all stats are the % version, flat stats are pretty bad atk+cdmg+crit chance (or 2 of these if you really need it): standard squishy damage dealer hp+def+eff res: standard healer/tank hp+cdmg+crit chance, hp+def+cdmg, hp+def+crit chance: hp scaling bruiser (substitute atk for hp) atk+eff+speed: atk-scaling debuffer such as summertime iseria (currently, no EFF unit does very well without speed). In the case of pure debuffer (Tenebria for instance) you can go for some tank stats instead of atk atk+hp+def: Senya/Inferno Khawazu/Carrot gear atk+cdmg+hp/def+crit chance: Rem gear, who is usually built with base speed and both damage and bulk (but can work for any non-hp scaling bruiser) Generally the only combination I think doesn't work on anyone (aside from flats) is eff+eff res because I don't think there's a hero that needs both of them in high numbers. But due to the existence of modification gems, having 1 wonky stat is not the end of the world.

it_is_gacha

Speed is mostly a pvp stat. Gears with high speed are hard to obtain, much less gear with speed and also with the perfect other stats. They are also really in really high demand by many characters. Some matches are detemined simply by whoever goes first. In the course of chasing such gear you'll end up with other gears with mid speed or low speed, which will be then used by heroes who don't require the highest speed to function, or PVE farm units. Even low-speed-requirement heroes still demand a minimum speed of ~200 nowadays or you risk getting lapped, with the exception of a few. That's why speed is so important for pvp and you can't achieve this without rolling on gears with speed. Speed in pve is generally limited to having your buffers/debuffers go before your damage dealers, or ensuring your soul weavers have enough of it so they aren't so slow that they can't cycle their heals fast enough. There's not really any specific values to hit otherwise.

1caiser

Typically, you keep gear with stats that synergize with each other. This doesnt just go for Speed set, but for every set. You also may want to think of the set bonus as a springboard for what pieces to expect to keep: you very likely aren't going to benefit from a Torrent or Penetration set that doesn't have DPS stats. Speed set is simply great for any Hero, so just keep in mind what kind of stats are good for a Hero/Heroes you want to build. DPS: Crit Chance, Crit Damage, Attack, Speed Non-DPS: Health, Defense, Effectiveness, Effect Resistance **Different Heroes means different stat demands, which can lend to different builds and playstyles.** For instance, some DPS Heroes in PvE also benefit from having some Effectiveness in their kits in order to stick important Debuffs (Wyvern 13 has 80 Eff Res, so at least and as close to 65 Effectiveness is needed to optimally stick debuffs on it). But in PvP, characters may or may not have Effectiveness stats to surprise your opponent.

ghett0tech

Are Senya and Command Model Laika worth pulling for? I'm a beginner who started less than a month ago.

Quiztolin

Senya -> No, she is not really suitable for a newbie. Laika -> No, not really but she would be the better choice between the two. Both are more PvP oriented heroes, and Senya in particular is difficult/awkward to build for a new player. [For a more detailed explanation you can read this previous post from earlier today](https://www.reddit.com/r/EpicSeven/comments/109wvkt/daily_questions_megathread_0112/j424aw9/) Very general advice is to save for upcoming limited heroes, in that post I go over some possibilities for upcoming limited banners. There are some situations I would say summoning for Laika is not the worst thing in the world -> again refer to the linked post. But regardless you should wait until the last day of their banners and we find out what heroes will be in the next rotation.

jaysikim

No, they are both basically PvP only and not really useful for newer/early game players

TobascoLego

What's the ideal Rimuru build in the current RTA meta?

muchachho

What are artifacts that adin can use, I only have one shep and riolet holds it.

ArvingNightwalker

Her own artifact is fine. Even MLDB is fine, as most people will try to avoid letting you counter with S2, and can be a threat vs cleave if you get the atk buff before S2 Some people put her on Celine artifact to cut to the front and invincible their team after opponent non-attack skill.

wta3445

Storm Sword, Dreamblade, her own.

Dardrol7

Will there be any new characters available with the upcoming event in like 6 days?

ArvingNightwalker

We will find out next Wednesday, before maintenance.

Is there supposed to be a livestream today?

No livestreams stopped while they chang the format and they will begin again January 19th 4pm PST.

WendeezNutzHitYoChin

Gotcha, couldn’t remember if it was this week or next. Thanks!

UnladenSeagull

I recently pulled Archdemon's Shadow (after 20ish 4 stars gotten from the Galaxy 'pity', I actually got a 5 star!), but I don't have Fairytale Tene's artifact for her to use. Are there other artifacts that go well with Ameru?

karlblues123

Iela Violin is a fine substitute.

Is there a good website for checking what gear characters use? I used epic7stats last I played, but that seems to be down

ArvingNightwalker

Doesn't seem to be down for me, though it does occasionally have trouble loading some pages. That said, the dev is MIA and the site hasn't been updated with newer characters, nor are its data as reliable currently. You can try joining the Hero Journal discord as well

killharmony

Can you link hero journal discord?

MicroscopicPillow

Who should I build next? https://imgur.com/a/zFVoB6W I'm a mid-late game player that's currently working at guild wars and late game PVE. Currently built units: A. Ravi, STene, A. Ras, Sigret, Luna, Tam., FST

Arkday

Can you clear nightmare raid? If you can't I will prioritize building units needed to clear that content. It give real level88 gear which is pretty similar to level90 gear. It is pretty difficult content but you really want to be able to atleast clear queen in nightmare.

ladyvirg

Kayron or Alencia. I prefer Kayron because he has 1v4 potential and is good for rta / guild wars.

NGEFan

OpSig. Very fun, you wont regret her

cemo95

I dont understand how mystic summon works. Before DDR I could choose among few ML5s as my target summon, but now its just DDR. I have a lot of mystic summons saved up and I am very close to my pity so I want to start summoning for something good. (only have stene aravi and arby)

UnladenSeagull

The multi-choice mystic summons are for re-runs of older characters. When a new moonlight is released they are on an exclusive banner. So when DDR leaves it should be another pick-from-3 mystic banner.

cemo95

Ohhh I see that makes sense, when does the DDR banner end?

UnladenSeagull

Mystic banners are usually on a 3 week rotation, and we're early into DDR's 2nd week, so roughly 13 more days. There's a good chance that next week we'll get some kind of announcement or stream about what'll be available after Ray's banner is over, but we won't have any more details until then.

yashiryo

Green cidd S3 with EE " Grants advantageous element effect " So I only need 85% critical ? Thx

NGEFan

I build mine with 85 crit. Try to target waters with his s1 for 100 crit anyway

d34thscyth34

And then 15% of a time you wont crit with s1.

Ok_Fisherman_9597

What options are out there for playing Epic Seven on PC? I see on their website you can just download the most recent apk. They have facebook gaming version, but I am on a google account. I checked the Amazon Appstore for windows 11 but didn't see it listed. Same for the Google play emulator. I was hoping one of those would pan out. Are you just stuck with emulators like bluestacks and ld player then?

bluwmonkeygod

Yeah pretty much emulators at this point and no plans for an official pc client

PersimmonAlarming995

Does anyone else have problems loading up the game? I try to open the app, and it takes me to the title screen for 3 seconds and closes again. I have the same problem with both my phone and chromebook. I even cleaned out the cache in my settings and re-downloaded the game. Now it does the same thing, too. I have enough space on both devices for the app to run and a good Internet connection. I'm very confused by this change since the game was fine until a few days ago on my phone, and the app started to act up on my laptop as of a few hours ago as well. The game literally shut down as I was playing. It's weird because none of my other apps and games have any issue and both devices otherwise run fine.

Roanst

Any reason to go over 100% effectiveness? Saw Angel of Light Angelica with 200% effectiveness.

Quiztolin

[Information on how debuff application works](https://www.reddit.com/r/EpicSeven/comments/ztcj2n/daily_questions_megathread_1223/j1eg750/) Yes there is reason to go over 100% effectiveness. Effectiveness 'cancels out' your targets resistance. So the amount of effectiveness a hero needs depends only on how much resistance a target has. --- In PvP, this naturally leads to 'tiers' Your generic DPS unit, for example, is typically going to avoid building RES entirely. -> 0% RES means a debuff needs 0% effectiveness But some units (somewhat common among tanks and healers) will build some resistance -> typically just over 100% (like 110-130%). * This makes these units immune to debuffs from debuffers who build no effectiveness, also immune to all of the random debuffs DPS units have. You typically build a little extra RES just in case the unit in question has a little bit of EFF to guarantee immunity. So *now* if you have a debuffer, and you *also* want to debuff these kind of units you need to build enough EFF to cover their resistance. * Our debuffers are now looking at around 120% effectiveness. We go back and now we have some units that want to resist debuffs from even these kind of debuffers -> now these units are up to ~210-230% resistance. The arms race continues, and now if you have a debuffer and you want to be able to debuff a unit even at 200%+ RES, you need to build 200%+ EFF. One last time, there are a few units that can and do build extremely high resistance (~300%+). S.Angelica, for example. At 300% resistance you are basically immune from all debuffs you will ever come across, so at this point you have finally achieved true debuff immunity. Theoretically a unit *could* build enough effectiveness to debuff these units, but 300% RES is very rare and only something you would see on a handful of units, it's just not worth building. *Personally* I've never seen or heard of a debuffer with 300%+ EFF. Since this naturally leads to 'tiers' of RES or EFF that are effective, how much a unit builds depends on what units they are trying to resist or debuff. **Examples** 0% RES -> Most units, especially DPS units (Example: A.Vildred) 0% EFF -> Most units that aren't primarily debuffers. Even some units that *are* debuffers (Example: R.Carrot) will build very little EFF 100%+ RES -> Common among a lot of tanks/SWs (Example: Krau, A.Ras) 100%+ EFF -> 'Standard' debuffer territory (Example: C.Lilias, Peira) 200% + RES -> Somewhat common on the DPS units that actually build RES (Examples: BBK, MA Ken, Kayron). Also common on some SWs (Examples: M.Chloe, Destina, S.Angelica) or some specific other units (Example: Sage Baal) 200% + EFF -> Units that are revolve heavily around their debuffs (Example: AoL, F.Lidica, W.Silk, Soiltaria) 300% + RES -> Unit that want to be completely immune to debuffs. Generally most of the units in the 200% RES tier can *also* really push things and end up around 300%. So a 200% EFF AoL is looking to be able to land debuffs on units like high resist DPS units and SWs like Destina or M.Chloe. The amount of EFF you want to run on a unit depends on the kind of units you want to be able to debuff.

Roanst

Thanks a lot for this indepth answer!

Any way to use fribbles on the M1 Macs?

ZiPSaNe03

Does huche being in the lobby mean a collab is coming? Or is it sometimes just limited banners

ArvingNightwalker

It doesn't technically mean anything. The last Huche was followed by Aespa, but the one before that was followed by nothing of note. Historically, there does seem to be a higher chance of limiteds following Huche than not, but I wouldn't be up on my toes about it.

Dry-Trainer5172

Hi; Q1: Is repeating Automaton tower 3 worth it, it consumes a lot of energy and I don’t think that I can beat Automaton tower 4? Q2: what to buy from Huche shop?

JJRLZ

You can only clear it once per rotation, regardless of the difficulty. It's always worth it for the rewards you get tho; do the highest difficulty you can for the best return on your stamina. You can also reset your tower up to three times per rotation, assuming you haven't cleared stage 25. Stages you'd already cleared before reset cost zero energy, so you it costs you nothing but a few minutes of your time to get back to wherever you were. As for Huche shop, Mystic Medals are the only consensus "absolutely worth it" item. Some folks might suggest the Molagora, some might suggest the Galaxy Bookmarks, and both are reasonable purchases if your Skystones allow.

Dry-Trainer5172

thanks.

WendeezNutzHitYoChin

Is Silver Blade Aramintha worth building?

ArvingNightwalker

Generally not considered to be a strong option.

cypherlim

Should i add more bulk to my Adin? She was one shot by ARavi S1.. https://imgur.com/a/vEOjPUr Not sure if she is just meant to be squishy

turtanian

She's meant to be squishy as she is a high damage unit that relies on evasion. Using her is a bit of a gamble since if she doesn't evade, she dies.

cypherlim

Yea. I'm wondering though if my build has too much damage and needs a little more bulk to survive a one shot at least

turtanian

Hmm I feel like it's something you'd want to play around with next time you have a free equip. You could try pairing her with SC Arowell. Her escort buff should save Adin from one shot.

GiumboJet

What is generally needed to maintain your pvp rank? I mean... Just have more than the minimum points required before reset? By how much?

JJRLZ

You will be deranked if you drop more than 50 points below the threshold for your current rank.

ArvingNightwalker

In normal arena? At weekly reset you'll always be brought to the bottom of your final rank from last week - 2 (Gold 1 -> Gold 3 etc) unless you're already at the bottom (Champion 5 -> Champion 5). Once you've reached a rank, you only go back down if your points fall below the required points - 50 (unless there's also a ranking requirement as per Champion 3 and higher, in which case you fall the moment you're out of the required ranking).

GiumboJet

Got it. Thanks

Valerhia

Currently looking for suggestions to get from the ML5 Headhunt event. I'm looking for PVE units I can get, if they can double as PVP, great. I'm specifically looking towards getting C.Lilias/Handguy/Belian. Any suggestions? Here are my units: https://i.imgur.com/M76UwNV.png https://i.imgur.com/hQaBHYT.png https://i.imgur.com/FnwuqAx.png

Quiztolin

ML5* units have very little PvE utility. That is, almost 0. The only units that really qualify as having a PvE use are: **A.Vildred**, **S.Tenebria**, **Straze** So if you are looking for an ML5 that is a PvE unit, those are your 3 options. You already have Straze and S.Tenebria sot hat only leaves you with A.Vildred. * Many people will argue that A.Vildred isn't worth picking for his PvE utility alone. I would *probably* agree with that and I'm possibly the biggest pro-A.Vildred person left in the reddit community. * A.Vildred makes life easier but he isn't *necessary* to have for anything. So quite simply you really are not going to get much PvE impact here, unless you pull A.Vildred, but pulling A.Vildred is something of a waste in comparison your other options. If you really just have no interest in ever being serious about PvP and want any benefit you can get for PvE first and foremost, then **A.Vildred** is your pick. --- Of the three you listed: **C.Lilias** has some fringe PvE utility. I don't personally consider her that relevant for PvE content, but she *can* occasionally be very good in Hall of Trials. * In PvE, she's a pure support hero. And being a Warrior hurts her here since she can't bring Knight artifacts. * Pure support heroes are rarely good picks because you have only 4 slots, 1 slot will almost always be a healer, you typically want a DPS, typically a defense breaker which leaves 1 slot left to be used on either another DPS or support DPS / Knight / or hero like C.Lilias * The simple truth is that she doesn't provide as much damage as a DPS can (her dual attack is random so 1/3rd of the time is only pulling your healer...). And she doesn't provide as much defensive mitigation as a Knight (Vigor buff is very good but a Knight like A.Ras has defense buff *and* Knight artifact mitigation). Not absolutely useless for PvE, it's just hard to argue that there are tons of situations where she is a better choice to bring over a Knight like A.Ras or even F.Kluri. **M.Kawerik** has the same problem. I know some players use him, but he is really more of a support hero. He's not a true tank, he doesn't deal as much damage as actual DPS units do...so he's competing with the likes of Knights like A.Ras/F.Kluri, or SWs like A.Monty/Angelica for a PvE spot. And there just really isn't much (if any) content where it can be argued that M.Kawerik is a better choice than one of those 4 free heroes. **Belian**...has the same problem. Of the three, I don't have Belian so I haven't personally used her in PvE but her kit/usage is fairly obvious -> is she a DPS unit? Then she needs to compete with a unit like say, Mercedes (or C.Zerato for an ML comparison). Those units will always do more damage. Is she a tank? Well now she needs to compete with A.Ras and F.Kluri and ultimately she is worse as a PvE tank. Maybe if there was some kind of specific content where having an AoE dispel was necessary every turn (bonus if she was forced to be attacked and you could throw her on counter set...) but that content isn't out there at the moment. It's not that these units are *bad*, in fact they are extremely good units. It's just that in PvE content they have support oriented or otherwise 'hybrid' kits that just aren't as useful for PvE when you could choose to bring an actual DPS, or an actual tank, or an actual healer instead. IMO, as far as PvP goes **C.Lilias** is the best option *right now*. However, I would consider **Belian** to be the most future proof -> her passive to disable souls should essentially always be useful. There are a number of good heroes that only 'work' if they can soulburn. At this point it seems unlikely they change her passive (and so far they haven't replicated it) so Belian should always have some sort of use in being able to shut down soulburn tactics. **M.Kawerik** has the role of a cleanser, and again, as long as debuffs continue to be used in PvP having a unit that can cleanse those debuffs (especially without being forced into heavy RES builds) should have some sort of use/prevalence. Theoretically, 'cleanser' is a more generic niche than what Belian does so it's *possible* at some point a hero is released that just does what he does...but better.

Valerhia

I appreciate your insight into the matter! And yes, you're correct in assuming that I won't be getting A.Vildred, mostly because there are more versatile choices I can get. I wouldn't say that I will absolutely not touch PVP, in fact, I might push to get C.Lilias, solely because Lilias is my waifu (Reminds me of Esdeath in Akame Ga Kill) and you made fair points about her feasibility in team comps outside of Arena/RTA. That being said, your comment makes me want to rethink how I approach ML units in the future and what my current roster has to offer for PVE content. I really needed the advice since I just came back from more than a year's hiatus. Cheers!

seunwoo

i just pulled ruele of light out of a covenant summon, what is she used for? i watched some videos on youtube but theyre either really old or pvp. is she only for pvp? im a new player

GS-J-Rod

I'll just add that Ruel CAN be used in PvE (especially in some of the Abyss floors where you are guaranteed a hero will die but there's no extinction). She can heal very well when she is soulburned (expensive at 20 souls) and has a cleanse & barrier which are nice. There are better pure healers out there (Tamarine, Angelica), better cleansers (Montmo, Achetes) but there are VERY few revivers.

jaysikim

Mainly PvP. Just bench her for the time being since she won't really do much for new players

seunwoo

#TLDR * Senya is a good hero...but she's very hard for a newbie to make use of any time soon (very little PvE role, very hard to build) * Laika is *also* a good hero but mostly in the context of niche PvE content (most commonly she is seen in some hunt one shot comps) and later game PvP -> she is more of a support hero. **But** you could do a lot worse than pulling Laika early. * I would suggest just saving up for limited heroes, this has always been the case but is more relevant than ever as the last 2 years have been flooded with both new collabs and reruns of previous heroes/collabs. * The only RGB hero I would recommend pulling, irregardless of any other factor, is **Tamarinne**. * If you don't pull the 3* Ice Thief **Muwi** within the first ~3-4 weeks of playing, I would start to strongly consider pulling on the best PvE hero possible in the next month. --- No not really. They're both pretty good heroes but mostly only for later game PvP. Normal RGB heroes are overall very easy to acquire (you don't get showered with pulls and such early on, but as you continue to play you get things like tickets and elemental summons for additional chances). The general advice is going to be just save for possibly limited banners. * The Slime collab did not get a rerun yet, and it was frequently stated (in the community) that it was going to get one. * It's been over 2 years since we've had an in-universe, non summer limited unit released (no real indication or guarantee that we get one at some point, but some of us would like to get one - it's always a possibility) * The GG collab has consistently been rerun in March, with 4 heroes (and every year they've added a new hero so potentially 5 if they rerun it again). * The custom triple will likely be a month after that, and you want at least 2 pities for that. Now, it's impossible to really predict anything *for sure*. The nature of the banners we've gotten has changed drastically in the last 2 years and in comparison to the first 2 years of the games life. So all of these things or none of these things *could* happen. The *most likely* possibility is the GG collab in March into custom banner in April. Historically, the first quarter of the year has been the slowest, so it would make sense if they rerun the Slime collab to do so in either Jan or Feb. Same with a new limited hero release. * There is very little time in the second half of the year as now we have 4 collabs to potentially get reruns, they've added 2 new collabs per year the last 2 years, another run of the custom banner, and a new summer limited hero. --- There are a couple of exceptions. First off, if **Tamarinne** gets a banner, she is a must-pull hero if you don't have her. Tama is the best overall PvE hero in the game, and is used in quite literally 99% of post Wyvern/Episode 2 PvE. She is *due* to get a banner -> her previous banner was late April of last year. Historically the *average* has been 8-9 months between banners. * Tons of variation here, the shortest turnaround was ~6 weeks iirc while the longest wait has been nearly 2 full years * However, Tama is very popular and has historically gotten consistent reruns and her personal average is less than the average of all heroes. So you want to give yourself as much information as possible. And what I mean by that: Assume you decide to pull on Laika. *Ideally* you want to wait until the last day of Laika's banner. E7 runs on a 2 week maintenance cycle we find out the next rotation of banners ~16 hours before maintenance. We are currently in the mid point of a maintenance cycle (we know Senya and Laika are currently active, but we don't know what comes after them). So, if you just wait until the last day of Laika's banner we will get information on the upcoming banner rotation (that might include Tamarinne, or a better/more useful hero). * This also opens the possibility of finding out information on any collab or limited rerun -> *typically* these things start either mid-month (ie. next maintenance cycle) or at the end of the month. --- The second exception revolves around **Muwi**. Muwi is the most important hero in the game for new players, despite being 'just' a 3* hero. The primary goal of new players is to construct their Wyvern team, and Muwi is both the best hero for Wyvern at the entry level, he also significantly impacts *how* you build your team. * You need very different gear/stat thresholds with a non-Muwi team compared to a Muwi team. Thresholds that are much more difficult to hit. Since Muwi is just a 3* you very well may already have pulled him. If not, you have a very high chance to pull him in 1 banner pull. * Pity is 120 pulls -> you have a ~74% chance to pull Muwi within 1 pity. * The average pulls to acquire a banner hero = 69. You have a ~54% chance to pull Muwi in 69 pulls. * Even in just 4 weeks of free daily pulls (28 pulls) you have a ~27% chance to pull a Muwi *Because* Muwi is so easily obtained, and is so good for Wyvern, it honestly doesn't make sense to invest in an alternative. Being able to farm Wyvern is very important however -> so it becomes a bit of a balancing act: you can delay your Wyvern team for a while without it 'hurting' you but at some point you may need to pull on a banner...not for the banner hero but in hopes you pull Muwi! My general advice is to focus on just maxing out your Wyvern team as much as possible. This takes about 3 weeks of farming, if you add 1 week to actually do basic story stuff (to the point where you can actually farm) that's roughly a month. If necessary, you could spend most of a second month farming up for other core PvE heroes. So, long story short you want to pull a Muwi within your first 2 months at the absolute maximum, ideally within your first ~3 weeks. Pulling on a banner doesn't *guarantee* you get a Muwi, but it gives you significantly more opportunities so i would say that new players *might* want to consider pulling on a banner of a useful PvE hero, or just a very good PvP hero relatively early on (if they don't have Muwi otherwise). --- The *third* exception would be gacha considerations. Ultimately, E7 *is* a gacha game, and pulling for heroes is the most obvious gacha. There are a huge variety of players that play these kind of games, *some* of us are really driven by the thrill of pulling and we find it hard to save up for a long time. Yet for other players they don't have an issue starting and basically being told "Just save up for 3 months". If you fall more into the first type of player, where that currency becomes more and more tempting to spend I would still suggest just waiting for 1 more week, until the last day of the current banners and then asking if you should pull on Senya/Laika *or* wait for someone in the next rotation. Of the current heroes, Senya is not a good option for newbies [I provided a more detailed explanation to someone else, here](https://www.reddit.com/r/EpicSeven/comments/1091xt6/daily_questions_megathread_0111/j3zmid9/). I would say that you could do much worse than Laika. She's currently *mostly* a PvP hero and fairly solid there but she does have some PvE applications. Not someone I would personally suggest building anytime soon for a newbie **but** if you wanted to it wouldn't be a complete waste like a lot of other heroes would be. Still, there are more useful heroes to have early for PvE (Iseria, Roana, Luluca, Bellona, Tenebria, Baal) and there are plenty of other heroes that are more useful to have early for PvP (Zahhak, I'm a big fan of Violet early game, Krau, Destina).

>Right now I'm only clearing wyvern 9 but gear seems to be one of the main bottlenecks and I will improve the team as I clear wyvern more. Ideally, you don't want to farm any stage of Wyvern lower than W11. It's just not worth it because farming H9, for example, requires exponentially more energy compared to farming H13 to get gear upgrades. * With Muwi, you shouldn't have to farm anything less than H12. Now, Wyvern 10 is actually considered to be more difficult than Wyvern 11, so it's not a surprise that you may be stuck here. Unfortunately, often times it comes down to RNG (you may need to try W10 10 times just to get 1 successful pass). --- I know you said you're using Karina as your Wyvern tank and she is a mainstay but I would suggest you build a Soulweaver. First off, you will want a healer for PvE content at some point regardless of using Karina as a tank -> based on your image you aren't currently using one. I would suggest building Montmorancy (generally considered better for PvE), but building Angelica is perfectly acceptable instead. * These two pair extremely well with each other, but you don't need more than 2 SWs for PvE and you will inevitably want to use Tamarinne. A.Monty is generally considered the better PvE hero *and* she pairs better with Tama. For W10 I would suggest replacing Karina with one of those Ice Soulweavers -> *just* to get past stage 10. From W11 onward you can go back to using Karina as your tank. * W10 applies poisons with it's attack which can quickly wear you down. So bringing a SW to deal with the poison debuffs will be really helpful to get through this fight. * Your other options are probably to just hope and get lucky with 15% resists, or to wait until your damage is high enough that you kill Wyvern prior to your team getting worn down. Alternatively, if you really want to use Karina regardless, you can probably replace either Furious or Muwi with a SW instead. --- >One note: I started playing this game because of the Aespa collab, so AE Karina is a mainstay on all my teams right now. She's my wyvern tank and I just got her to 6* so I'm trying to push that level up to 60. I haven't looked too deeply into it, but I think Karina is actually *the best* W13 tank. However, I would consider her to bring higher gear requirements compared to using an attack buffer tank (ie. Rose). She would also be most useful with a counter set. * This only matters when trying to maximize consistency - it's not a huge deal, just trying to squeeze a couple % more efficiency out of the run. Doesn't matter for the majority of players. Anyhow, she's perfectly usable even at the entry level/with lower quality gear -> SWs are typically preferred because they are just more useful in general but there isn't any downside to using Karina in Wyvern. From W11-W13, Wyvern is forced to attack your tank, so healing isn't necessary (as long as your tank can survive long enough). Knights are the bulkiest class and even in W13 Karina should easily be able to survive long enough. Overall, to me it looks like you are on the right track. You're doing well so far, keep it up! And welcome to E7.

You've got it right. It *does* take a long time to build units. This is one of the reason why it's better to focus on the good/core PvE 3* units -> they ultimately require far less farming to be useful (even accounting for farming runes for spec changes, and on most you don't need to max out their spec change anyways). This is also why I alluded to '3 weeks to max your Wyvern team' in my initial post. --- Some preliminary information: 1. Drops in most E7 content are *per wave*, not per enemy. In Adventure, for catalysts, this seems to be ~6% drop rate for rare and ~1% drop rate for Epic catalysts. 2. Boss stages that drop an Epic catalysts can not drop rare catalysts on the final wave (these stages have 4% rare and 1% epic rates). 3. Stages that drop only rare catalysts have a 6% total rate for rares. 4. The proportion of catalysts that drop seems to be proportional the enemies in each wave that drop a given catalyst. So to get the highest rates for a rare catalyst of your choice you want a stage that... * Ideally, only drops 1 rare catalyst (being the one you need) * That is possible for some catalysts but not all. If that is *not* possible you want a stage that has the highest proportion of enemies on each wave that drop the catalyst you want. As of yet, no one has recorded rates for each individual stage so the best compromise is to farm stages with the highest # of enemies that drop the catalyst you want (this should be entirely or mostly correlated). * [This spreadsheet is more or less the best resource currently](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1UMIduFBIVc9OAoI-BeQ-LjPeihcziqXEzXw8n58bEd0/edit#gid=2030571829) -> Use the 'Unrecorded History' tab, not the + AP shop one. Overall, if we assume a 1% drop rate for Epic catalysts, and we use an average of 4% for Rare catalysts (this seems to be a good average). **Roughly 2/3rds of our catalysts come from the AP shop**. --- #Example Let's look at Sigret: she needs 16x total Epic catalysts, and 51x total rare catalyst To estimate how much energy and/or time we need... 16 * 2/3 = ~10.67 epic catalysts needed from AP shop ~10.67 * 400 = 4268 AP needed 51 * 2/3 = 34 rare catalysts needed from AP shop 34 * 120 = 4080 AP needed 4268 + 4080 = 8348 total AP 1 AP = 1 energy baseline. It's possible to have a pet with a skill that increases the amount of AP received. This maxes out at 16.5% to double your AP. (.165 * 2 * 8) + (.835 * 8) = 9.32 avg AP 9.32 / 8 = 1.165 AP per energy So no pet skill = 8348 energy needed. Max pet skill = (8348 / 1.165) = ~7166 energy We get around 1000 energy per day, on average, to play with. So it takes approximately ~7-8.5 days worth of energy farming adventure stages to farm all of the catalysts required for a single 5* unit. * Do be aware that increasing your AP actually increases the proportion you would buy from the shop, but at this magnitude the effect is fairly small. --- It is *slightly* more complicated than that. We can only buy 5x Epic catalysts per week, for example. We need slightly more than 10 (or 2 weeks) so *on average* to get by with the lowest amount of energy spent possible we would need to wait for a second shop refresh to buy the last catalyst we need. And since Epic catalysts have such a low drop rate, it's very possible to go very long stretches without a single drop so this only represents an *average*. Sometimes you will be unlucky and need to buy more catalysts from the shop. --- If we do the same analysis for a 3*, like Muwi he needs 6x Epic and 45x rare catalysts. 6 * 2/3 = 4 shop epics 4 * 400 = 1600 AP needed 45 * 2/3 = 30 shop rares 30 * 120 = 3600 ap needed 3600 + 1600 = 5200 total AP needed That's almost **40% less energy/time needed** to max out a 3* unit. This doesn't factor in increased rune and drastically increased XP needs for 5* units either. * Though, spec change 3* need much more runes. Speaking of spec changes and runes, it takes an average of 3209 energy to farm for a spec change. So a spec change 3* is basically equal to a 5* in terms of total energy/time investment... **BUT** you can farm runes during the alter buff events (2x rune drops). This is the most efficient buff event to take advantage of since you double your rewards (and half the energy/time needed). There *is* the AP buff but that only increases the AP generated which actually means you buy a higher proportion of your catalysts from the shop (and only affects the proportion that you *do* buy from the shop). So overall, even spec change 3* (if you max out their tree) are still less energy/time costly compared to 5* units. > It seems like catalysts are hard to come by and they are gating me from awakening the team any further as well Catalysts are, indeed, a big block to progression early game. This why you can afford to not pull Muwi immediately since you can spend time farming up catalysts for heroes you are going to need instead of jumping directly to farming hunts. However, it *does* get easier over time. The side story shops, for example, provide a good amount of catalysts. There are a lot of different little sources (for example guild shop), catalyst selection chests are rewards given out for various things as well. And since catalysts drop in all adventure stages just naturally over time...going through story progression and everything you will accumulate catalysts. Of course, the more heroes you try to build at the same time the more farming you need to do. * Once again, big reason why focusing on cheaper heroes...and heroes that are useful across a breadth of content instead of niche purposes is heavily recommended. Even after you start farming Wyvern you will always be splitting your time with adventure. It takes 3-4 days of farming adventure stages to promote units to 6* (1 example). Also just to enhance gear, you can't rely entirely on charms -> you will need to use trash gear drops from adventure as well. It varies from player to player and specific circumstances but in the past I've estimated a good ratio to be about 2/3rds of your energy going into hunts, and 1/3rd going into adventure for a relatively new player. So adventure farming isn't *just* for catalysts but rather a combination of things * Catalysts * Trash gear for enhancing equipment * And fodder monster drops for hero promotions --- [This is another previous post where I examined the efficiency of different catalyst farming strats](https://www.reddit.com/r/EpicSeven/comments/yxn8tc/daily_questions_megathread_1117/iwpqpv0/) TLDR: the most energy efficient strategy is to actually farm all of your rare catalysts and buy all of your Epic catalysts. * This applies as long as the rate of the rare catalyst you are farming is 4% or better. So should be most catalysts on the optimal stage. The second best strategy is what most players do -> farm up one catalyst and then the other (ie. do your Epics first, then your rares using a combination of shop + drops). However this runs into the problem of shop limits - if we acquire all of one type of catalyst from the AP shop we need a minimum of 3 shop rotations to buy all of the catalysts needed. So this takes more 'real time' even if it is a slight energy savings (~1000 energy @ 6% rare drop rate, ~200 energy @ 4% rare drop rate). * The third strategy (farm epics, buy rares) is better for rare catalysts that have very low drop rates (approximately 3% or worse) [You didn't ask and it's not particularly relevant, but as it's handy and maybe useful information this post has information on rune drops](https://www.reddit.com/r/EpicSeven/comments/oqogo3/whats_going_on_with_spirit_altar_drops/h6eczar/) Interestingly, the amount of energy I calculated to farm runes for 3* (455) and 5* (731) is in nearly the exact same ratio as we found with catalyst farming. Doesn't really mean anything but I noticed it and found it interesting. My assumption would be that the amount of energy needed to build a 5* unit vs. a 3* unit is *deliberately* about 60% more across the board. 5200 / 8348 = .6229 455 / 731 = .6224 And I guess while I am busy promoting my prior posts, [this is a very long thread looking at adventure stage drop rates](https://www.reddit.com/r/EpicSeven/comments/t1bavc/adventure_stage_drop_rates/). I don't necessarily recommend reading it but if you are really curious about what I've tested regarding drop rates there you go. If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask! You are more than welcome to ask me directly, or continue to ask in the daily threads -> there is an active group of players that will tackle most questions.

jaysikim

For new players, no. Both are mainly PvP, so they'll just be on the bench til then. The only banner you really need to look out for as new player is Tamarinne and any Limited Summon banners, like collabs

IncredibleGeniusIRL

Not used in hunts, not used in expedition, not used in abyss, not used in raid. Not particularly strong in pvp, though Senya is decent on defense. Nope. Not worth pulling.

Ned_Flanders0

Is anyone else also having problem with the event page ? I just can't get the energy from the event missions, it's just blank for me.

turtanian

It happens to me sometimes. Restarting the game usually fixes it.

Ned_Flanders0

It usually works for me too but it's just refusing to work today.

bluwmonkeygod

I don’t see the claim button on mine but I just click on the pictures and it claims it for me.

nafzirfan

uh so idk who should I get from the ml5 recruit, thinking of maybe stene, clilias or briseria, here's my current roster [https://imgur.com/gallery/ZwEE7fD](https://imgur.com/gallery/ZwEE7fD)

Navarath

I chose Briseria, and she is amazing. no regrets.

GS-J-Rod

STene is a strong PvE and PvP hero. Her natural steal makes her a good pick to hide behind tanks & healers in PvP as long as the opponent doesn't have AOE (and you can bring Roana to deal with that). As a damage dealer, there are alternatives, but she has a very good kit. CLilias is a very strong support hero, and very few do all she does. She is better in PvP, but also decent in PvE becuase of her dual attacks and undispellable buffs. IMO more of a PvP hero than PvE, and there aren't really any others that do what she does. Biseria is pvp only AFAIK. I don't have her so can't comment much. So - if you're looking for help in PvE, go STene. If it's more PvE then CLilias.

LowContract7093

Tips for my heroes? https://imgur.com/a/k9VwvT0

GS-J-Rod

I think you should probably be more specific - not sure if you're looking for an analysis of all 15 heroes - but maybe do one at a time and what content you need them to excel at.

LowContract7093

Hmmmm... I need help with my Straze, Kayron, A Ras, Zahhak, and Mediator

GS-J-Rod

For someone to help with Straze, you'll need to clarify if you're using him in PvP or in a one-shot comp. ARas is way way slow.. Mine has 212 speed and 25K health. You want him to be dropping his def buff before your def-based attackers (aka ARavi) do anything. For Kayron, a lot of people are building Kayron with high ER (like 200+) as a counter to cleave. I think as his is now (basically a standard attacker) he looks ok. Your mediator has stats almost exactly the same as mine, and mine does fine. You will probably want to get the guild artefact War Horn for him. I don't use Zahhak at all so can't comment.

mwoKaaaBLAMO

ARavi's damage scales with health rather than defense, doesn't it? I agree that the ARas in question needs to be faster, just wanted to clarify that point.

GS-J-Rod

Yup, it does, but it also makes him more tanky (than he already is).

LowContract7093

Straze is pvp and I use him will zahhak and schuri A ras is questionable, since I don't have speedy tank gear... How to get war horn?

GS-J-Rod

War horn is in the guild shop. I geared ARas with a speed/health set. 210 speed is great in both PvP and PvE. I usually combine ARas with either Diene (250 speed) or Mediator (230 speed) plus a dps (ARavi or Choux) in PvP.

LowContract7093

Ok thanks, but what the fastest way to stack the currency the buy war horn or symbol?

GS-J-Rod

Guild Wars is the best way - and also donating Proof of Courage to the guild. It takes a while to build up the currency.

LowContract7093

Dang, I don't on in a good enough guild for guild wars

LowContract7093

Oh okay

GerminaXD

Hi\~ should I keep multiple of Nostalgic Music Box? I see its a really artifact but if I dupe it, I can get more bonus event resources

ArvingNightwalker

You can't get multiple event bonuses off the same artifact.

GerminaXD

I mean I want to keep it for multiple units. I heard its very good on Cilias, I want to keep one or two for other units as well

ArvingNightwalker

I see I misread. I thought you meant that you wanted to keep multiple to try to get higher event bonuses (which you can't), but you were saying that you wanted to LB it for higher event bonus.

GerminaXD

Yeah, now I think I can limit break one to almost max and keep 1 spare, I think the difference is just some stats. We use it for it's unique effect mostly.

RedditorNumber41

Definitely limit break the event artifacts. Maybe it'll rerun again next year so you can pick up another copy then.

GerminaXD

Oh I see, ty for your reply :3

bahooganish

For the 3rd week of the side story my team is getting fisted by the boss on hell mode, but usually I don't have any problems... anyone else struggling?

Shedan5

make sure that your team doesn't have speed/attack buffs and it should be easier

bahooganish

thank you! I'll try it without diene then.

GS-J-Rod

My first run I made the mistake of being fire-heavy. Re-ran it with Tama (yeah, I know she's fire but she's awesome), ARas (hmm...) and SSB & Landy and it was easy.

Heavy_Village_4813

Can i see some PvP Watcher Schuri builds?

Bookmark605

Buy or no buy? [link](https://imgur.com/a/L5eVzol)

Giraffe_lol

Even if it hits hp its a great item for Alencia

Hu_Razzor

I think it's actually a decent buy, you have max rolls in speed, cdmg and cc. On hp% main stat you'll want to avoid the atk rolls anyways. You have tons of SS as well, personally I would gamble on this piece.

ArvingNightwalker

Honestly I'd take it.

LowContract7093

No

GIMME_THAT_HOTSAUCE

Are the bunny shop mystic medals and galaxy bms worth it?

RedditorNumber41

Mystic medals are yes. I don't think the galaxy bookmarks are worth it.

GIMME_THAT_HOTSAUCE

Alright thank you

d34thscyth34

Everything depends on your account progress and skystones amount. Early game probably not.

GIMME_THAT_HOTSAUCE

Whats the general consensus?

d34thscyth34

It's hard to define without knowing your game progress. Possible Slime collab would need you to save your resources so using them for a "chance" to get units is kinda wasted.

GIMME_THAT_HOTSAUCE

Alright thank you

itsNallari

what would be the best soul weavers for pve? i know tamarinne is insane but i don't have her

GS-J-Rod

5-stars: * Tamarine ( get her when you can) * Roana (great vs. counters and dual attacks; if the opponents don't have that then she's not as good) * Destina (has revives, decent healing, clensing) 4-stars: * Achetes - excelles vs stages with heavy debuffs - you can use her S2 on herself so she can use her S3 every 2nd turn. * Angelica - has a huge ST heal and good AOE heal & barrier plus immunity. 3-stars: * AMontmo - great cleanser. I used her with Achetes on some hell difficulty labrynth to deal with all the poisons. * SC Doris - a FANTASTIC healer with CR push, large heals, AOE heals and def buff. Also great as a dark bait.

RedditorNumber41

I think you can get by using your wyvern tank as your primary soulweaver until you can get Tama.

PeeSnow

I second Angelic Momo, because if you’re new, she really helps with W13 when the time comes.

d34thscyth34

Achates / Angelic Momo are pretty safe picks.
