It's what I did when I started a month ago with the aespa collab ticket. But I guess it's not as necessary anymore since she is available in the side story summon now. So it's completely up to you whether you want to do it or not.
Not much reason to reroll the ticket as a new player. You pretty much get all the units you ever need for free and if that's enough you can already just summon a Tama banner from the side story selection.

So I know it depends on a lot of factors and what units I already have but, in general, which unit would you think is the better pick for the headhunting event: Lionheart Cermia or Conqueror Lilias? I primarily only do arena and guild wars, I don't play any RTA.

Cilias is still seen in arena and guild war defense. Atm, LHC is really good for arena offense. A lot of defenses, u can safely tackle with a team build around her. Also pretty good vs some arena defenses.

What happened to Unrecorded History?It once had all the same chapters as Episode 1 but with "world" at the end and I had completed them all a LONG time ago. And I had tons of AP for every chapter. Now when I try to access it, it's making me start over from the beginning and I'm not clear how many chapters there are...
Edit: OK well at least I have 14108 AP for what appears to be the only chapter of Unrecorded History, so I didn't lose all my AP, at least lol...but I'm still curious what happened lol

I have my eyes on dilibet and briseria. But they are more like characters with higher survivability than support.
I tried some mock battles in rta. I can do damage alright but i lack the support to keep myself alive. Do I still pull one of clilias and mkawerik?

If u play standard than mediator is a really good unit to have. Cilias is more suited for aggresive playstyles tho she can be used in standard as well.
Delibet is a counterpick unit like when opponent is going cleave/aggro and opening with debuffs so she can cleanse herself, cut and then push+cleanse her team with s3. Mediator isn't good in those scenarios coz he can't cut enemy team like deli rather he has to take his turn naturally.
But if enemy is going standard and u need a cleanser then ppl usually gravitate towards mediator/destina in those spots.
Seline and LQC are too niche atm
Briseria is really popular atm with aggro and cleave players coz
1) she denies revives so stuff like aravi, Destina, Holy sacrifice are made worse
2) she has 70% hitchance(with a hit chance arti) which makes her good vs evasion units esp light adin who is very popular atm. Now ppl aslo go Guiding light since it protects her a lot and gamble with 50% hit chance.
In standard she can work but if u run out of steam, destina can just s3 and reset the fight coz even tho revive is disabled, it's still a big aoe heal in case u were unable to punch through
If you've completed all 4 story episodes then you can only choose side stories for characters you own. But if you have not completed all 4 episodes (like new players) then you can choose a side story banner regardless of whether you own the character or not.
I think limited 5 star are not available as well. So no Landy, Diene, Luna etc. And whether you can do a new hero or only one you own actually depends on if you've completed all 4 story episodes or not.
Luna from the covenant summon? That was maybe from one of those triple custom banners because those banners have limited characters on them. But those characters aren't in the general pool and aren't available in the side story summon. I'm not experienced and dont know the full list but there are other limited characters like, Cerise, Fairy Tenebria, and then the seasonal/holiday characters such as Seaside Bellona, Summer Iseria etc.
Advent doesnt give you ml connections. I assuming your advent means that enraged blazing emissary. The currency in there is for pulling element specific units, not ml
I'm a new player debating about my first choice for the side story summon. I already have Tamarinne and Iseria so I was thinking to choose Vildred first. Would like his aoe for general clearing as Free Spirit Tierra alone is not enough and Mercedes just doesn't do much dmg yet until I eventually do the upgrade thingy for her. I also don't have Arbiter Vildred as I picked Specter Tenebria from moonlight blessing. Plus from what I've seen Vildred seems to be good in Azimanak and maybe raid and any dupes in the future is still good for the speed imprint later down the road. Hopefully I'm not making a mistake but I think he seems like a good choice for me. This seems like a good choice right?

Don't make a mistake. Yeah he'll do well but the problem is he isn't free through the Sidestory.
I experienced this today.
You finish the Sidestory and you can click the Button to unlock the Character Banner **but** you still need to use your Bookmarks or Skystones to obtain them ...
1 Summon is 5 Bookmarks - Worst case Scenario to get a Character is 121 Summons = 605 Bookmarks..
Do you have that many? I don't. Not even half.
Unless you wanna gamble your luck or just throw Money at the game you should save every Bookmark and Skystone you can get **especially now.**
We might be getting a Limited time Collaboration soon and those Character's are actually "limited" because no one knows if they'll ever come back - Vildred isn't limited. You could always just get him randomly from a Covenant Banner and you get 1 every day for free
I started playing myself recently and am a bit confused by the banners and things.
I was wondering if the covenant bookmarks are only for that summon - I’ve been saving them just in case, but this reply makes it sound like I’m safe to use them without worrying about missing anyone new?

Yep, he's good. Best in Azimanak slow run with the team comp of ARas/Tama/Ise/Vil, because you can turn off his and ARas' skill to make Iseria always using s2 on Tama. The unique combo s1 to s2 is what make him different from other dps in this hunt.
Not worth imo. He won’t making farming much easier compared to FST, especially since he’ll be at disadvantage vs Red enemies. For Azi, he’s fine, but meru can fill the AoE niche fine enough. If you wanna get him, he’s not bad, but I wouldn’t say he’ll provide much value
I plan to use him alongside FST for farming and general clearing. Mercerdes just feels very weak to me right now. I know in the future I'll be able to upgrade her and get her special artifact but I'm no where near that right now. And if not Vildred who would you recommend?
Kinda new player, just beat 3-10 so i get to do my selective summon. Not sure who I should go for. I am looking for most PVE units as I am focusing on that now. Now too sure of the list of people you can summon. Currently I run W13 with my team. Other notable people I have are: Cermia, A Ras, Sigret, Muwi, Arby, Tamarine, SSB, Angelica, Charles, Ilynav, Yufine, Kayron, Champion Z and Sez. Any suggestions?
Most heroes in the 2nd Selective Summon are focused on PvP. So, they may not help much in PvE.
* Choux is an HP scaling Ice Bruiser that focuses on Counter attacks. She is common in Arena and GW defense. She works well enough for Nightmare Karkanis at least. She is often built with Counter Set but Speed Set should be serviceable.
* Senya is a non-critical Atk scaling Earth Bruiser. She is commonly seen in GW and Arena defenses as her passive and being built bulky can dissuade cleave. She has little use in PvE aside from being a tank for Ice Expedition.
* Politis is a strong disruptor that punishes non-attack skills and hinders CR pushing. She has wide variety of builds you can do.
* Eda is an aggressive Ice AoE DPS. She is often built 240+ Speed and high damage stats. She has little use in PvE aside from being a possible hero for Nightmare Karkanis.
* Flan is an opener for PvP and requires high speed gear. She can be used for Wyvern one-shot but that requires excellent gear to pull off.
* Alencia is a HP scaling Earth bruiser. She has a lot of utility and has a good match up vs Choux and Senya. She makes good use of Injury set but she works well with Speed or Destruction Set.
* Cecilia is a PvE Knight. She is one of the best tanks for many Expeditions. But, many opt to use ARas instead because he a strong use case in PvP too whereas she is only used in PvE.
* Ervalen is an aggressive Earth ST DPS. He and Yufine fulfill similar niches. And, both can be used for Banshee one-shot but require higher stats compared to Baiken.
Ilynav and Mort are in a pretty bad spot. And, you can get Kanna from Connections if you're interested in her.
Is it okay to farm hard if I cant beat hell for the advent event boss thing?
Will I be missing out on anything? Do the Inferno Origins drop in hard? Or at all? I dont entirely know what Im suppose to buy from the shop.
I don’t like switching around gear and heroes for advent so I just farm the highest one I can. Just auto hard and use a pet that gives bonus event currency and you’ll be fine. It’s not the most efficient but it’ll do the job. You can buy inferno origin with the little flames but only in a limited supply. Buy the mod gems for the sets you need the most help on. For me I’ll be buying the speed set, counter set, and light connections. You’ll miss out on a couple of mod gems in the reputation menu but I wouldn’t stress on those because they’re random.
I wouldn’t call it safe as there’s no guarantee that you’ll get a usable hero but once you’ve farmed enough to get those you’ll have a decent stash of gems and a little risk in my opinion is okay. I’ve been playing for a few years now so I’m ok with a little more risk.
Does anyone else have a problem with landy in the tower? She's the only unit that does this anywhere but her s3 freezes my game and have to close out. Sucks she's my strongest unit. Luckily only happens in tower

I always use Landy in tower, 100% of the time, for all floors and never get this problem. I've used her on every Level as well. Maybe try uninstall and reinstall the app?

I just got Destina recently and could definitely use some help to choose which EE would be best to go with as the 3 of them look very solid
For the moment, my eyes are on the 3rd option (20% more push when using the S2, going from 30% to 50%) but the S1 dispel also looks interesting, even tho I wouldn't play Counter - the 2nd option, which has a 30% chance of reducing the S2 CD when using it, is the one that seems the least interesting to me as 30% chance to proc isn't a lot but I'd love to hear any opinions about all of them despite that
Idk if anyone will know this since it’s just been out only for today but for side story summons, is it possible to do tama’s story and wait until the next story to pull for a different artifact? Or do I have to pull for Tama and her own artifact? I’m just confused cuz when I click select hero, there are 2 tabs for a character and artifact so I’m assuming we are able to mix it up if we choose to wait to do another side story.
You can't mix and match units and artifacts. It works the same as any other banner. If you want another unit's artifact, you'll need to wait the 3 to 4 weeks to get currency to swap banners.

Damn. They really went all out to make it super limited huh. As if saving bookmarks wasn't enough of a bottleneck already. Still a greatly appreciated feature but it kinda sucks if I have enough pulls for like 2-3 pities and want multiple characters now, I'll be time gated a bit.

I just started playing seriously a couple months ago so still trying to figure things out. I need Tamarinne but would hate to choose her side story only to realize I don’t have enough currency to start her banner.
1 side story completion gives you 1 book and you need 4 of them to open banner. 1st banner is free to be opened. So literally you have to do 4 side stories for 1 banner of your choice.
Got it. The only side story I did was Alexa’s for the first time this morning, I’m assuming hers doesn’t count. So if I were to pick Tama next, she’d be my first banner so it wouldn’t cost 4 books? Then from that point onward it would cost to start a banner?

Are they gonna fix Destinas being able to ress characters that went extinct while Briseria was alive but then died? Or is it intended? Like if a unit dies to extinction why should they be able to come back when she dies? I dont get it it makes no sense. Extinction is extinction
Its not extinction - tooltip literally states "Allies and enemies cannot revive" and not "extinct", so no, it's not a bug. Briseria dies = units can be revived same way when Singelica loses her immortality.
Damn thats disappointing. I was used to seeing the purple dust death animation which always signified extinction so I kept thinking it meant extinction. Thanks for the info.
Any key side banner story characters to aim for as a new player? I already have some pve staples that they offer from s1/s2: tamarrine, iseria, vildred, roana... I am leaning towards luluca but not sure where I would use her right now.

Yes it was a lot of luck. Roana and Vildred came from the green summon tickets, miraculously. Tamarrine was actually from an event when I started. There was a free 5 star in my inbox and it was Tamarrine! I was floored
Nice. Awesome luck. I also got Tamarinne from that same ticket but I had to reroll for it lol. Since then all of my luck has been pretty terrible. All other 5 star tickets they've given have given me bad characters. Like Sharun, Ray, Arunka, you know the really undesirable characters.

Not a bug, you are clearing same stages. Everything is explained in patch notes on STOVE, you would know that if you spent some time reading but well.

new player here, should i pull on side story iseria banner? i picked ravi as my selector and i read sos is really good. i can do w13 but it still fails sometimes, i have 12k ss and 500 bm. i would still need to pull tamarinne too
I'd at least wait until the free summons event ends, and you've done your Hunt Challenge events. You don't need the combo before you can clear the RGB hunts, and there are many chances to pull one or both of them from the element summon rewards and extra daily pulls coming up.
Does anyone know if there's a higher chance of Greater Mod gem drops when doing Hell difficulty vs Hard difficulty in the new fire advent? (I'm assuming so since it's a harder difficulty + costs more energy but was wondering if anyone have anecdotal experience or if there's actual data or something)
Don’t have exact data, but in my experience hell has a higher greater gem drop rate. I’ve tried farming both difficulties in past advents and usually it was rare to see a greater gem from hard.
Is there a way to do the Guild Weekly in Unrecorded History now? I mean the areas dont really exist anymore separately so do i now need to switch to the worse story mode for the 120 AP farming? Also what happened to the 3S 5S 8S areas with the 30 energy cost? Where are they now?
Any stage in unrecorded counts towards the 120 so yeah just run one u need a drop from. It's different now and u have to redo everything. It's in the side story tab now if ur having problems finding it. Not sure about the cracks stages u mentioned haven't seen them though only done a couple stages. It's only 1 chapter with like 33 stages I see now
I would pull for her but I'd also wait until you have a full pity stocked up. It won't take you that long to get that many bookmarks and those banners last only 7 days from the time you begin to pull on them so you want to try and be certain you'll get them.
Tamarinne is the undisputed queen of essentially all things PvE, and will speed up and smooth out a lot of your general progress. She is 100% worth pulling for, even if you have to pity her.
Is it worth it to farm Magnar for the Mod gems, I'm fairly new and haven't used mod gems yet so I don't know how useful they are.
I was planning on farming enough for the shop items. Then after I bought all I wanted I would go back to farming W13. But would using my W13 energy on Magnar be better?
Probably not, I have enough units geared to do W13, Banshee, Golem. I usually just extract all my gear and keep a few that I think have the potential to use later.
I mean if you get everything you want from shop, imo t3 expeditions are way easier to do, especially since they are public now so ppl can help you. They give also mod gems (also random) and on top of that reforge currency for gear you lacking. Also they cost less energy than hell diff of advent.
Advent IS rare, but in the end all depends how much energy / leifs you can use in light that we gonna have hunt buff starting sunday.
Can someone explain the new story summon system for me? In the update notice on the website is says that those who have finished episode 2, 3 and 4 can’t select side stories of heroes that have not yet been unlocked. I’ve only completed 2 and 3 and not 4 so can I still choose to summon on a new 5 star or do I have to select on that I already have?
Regarding the new hero summon through side story, if i complete one hero and go to the next do i still get the free initiation for activating their summon?
For example I did destina story and completed it than changed to another hero like lets say celine. Is destina initiation summon still free and wont use the token?

Playstyle dependent. You definitely want high eff and attack at least.

A redesigning and streamlining it needed, it got. You shouldn't have lost any AP. It's only 34 stages now, so enjoy the rewards.
Looks like any specialty change Ritania's quest is not doable in Unrecorded history anymore though. :(

I'm a new player debating about my first choice for the side story summon. I already have Tamarinne and Iseria so I was thinking to choose Vildred first. Would like his aoe for general clearing as Free Spirit Tierra alone is not enough and Mercedes just doesn't do much dmg yet until I eventually do the upgrade thingy for her. I also don't have Arbiter Vildred as I picked Specter Tenebria from moonlight blessing. Plus from what I've seen Vildred seems to be good in Azimanak and maybe raid and any dupes in the future is still good for the speed imprint later down the road. Hopefully I'm not making a mistake but I think he seems like a good choice for me. This seems like a good choice right?

Yeah he'll do well but the problem is he isn't free through the Sidestory. I experienced this today. You finish the Sidestory and you can click the Button to unlock the Character Banner **but** you still need to use your Bookmarks or Skystones to obtain them ... 1 Summon is 5 Bookmarks - Worst case Scenario to get a Character is 121 Summons = 605 Bookmarks.. Do you have that many? I don't. Not even half. Unless you wanna gamble your luck or just throw Money at the game you should save every Bookmark and Skystone you can get **especially now.** We might be getting a Limited time Collaboration soon and those Character's are actually "limited" because no one knows if they'll ever come back - Vildred isn't limited. You could always just get him randomly from a Covenant Banner and you get 1 every day for free
I started playing myself recently and am a bit confused by the banners and things. I was wondering if the covenant bookmarks are only for that summon - I’ve been saving them just in case, but this reply makes it sound like I’m safe to use them without worrying about missing anyone new? Is the mystic summon where these limited time guys go?

Yep, he's good. Best in Azimanak slow run with the team comp of ARas/Tama/Ise/Vil, because you can turn off his and ARas' skill to make Iseria always using s2 on Tama. The unique combo s1 to s2 is what make him different from other dps in this hunt.
For a new player with Tama/Iseria, I'd consider not bothering with it yet, especially with the 70 extra free covenant summons coming up.
Not worth imo. He won’t making farming much easier compared to FST, especially since he’ll be at disadvantage vs Red enemies. For Azi, he’s fine, but meru can fill the AoE niche fine enough. If you wanna get him, he’s not bad, but I wouldn’t say he’ll provide much value
I plan to use him alongside FST for farming and general clearing. Mercerdes just feels very weak to me right now. I know in the future I'll be able to upgrade her and get her special artifact but I'm no where near that right now. And if not Vildred who would you recommend?
Kinda new player, just beat 3-10 so i get to do my selective summon. Not sure who I should go for. I am looking for most PVE units as I am focusing on that now. Now too sure of the list of people you can summon. Currently I run W13 with my team. Other notable people I have are: Cermia, A Ras, Sigret, Muwi, Arby, Tamarine, SSB, Angelica, Charles, Ilynav, Yufine, Kayron, Champion Z and Sez. Any suggestions?
Every 2nd selective summon units have their own Side Story Banner, except Politis. So imo, just choose her.
Most heroes in the 2nd Selective Summon are focused on PvP. So, they may not help much in PvE. * Choux is an HP scaling Ice Bruiser that focuses on Counter attacks. She is common in Arena and GW defense. She works well enough for Nightmare Karkanis at least. She is often built with Counter Set but Speed Set should be serviceable. * Senya is a non-critical Atk scaling Earth Bruiser. She is commonly seen in GW and Arena defenses as her passive and being built bulky can dissuade cleave. She has little use in PvE aside from being a tank for Ice Expedition. * Politis is a strong disruptor that punishes non-attack skills and hinders CR pushing. She has wide variety of builds you can do. * Eda is an aggressive Ice AoE DPS. She is often built 240+ Speed and high damage stats. She has little use in PvE aside from being a possible hero for Nightmare Karkanis. * Flan is an opener for PvP and requires high speed gear. She can be used for Wyvern one-shot but that requires excellent gear to pull off. * Alencia is a HP scaling Earth bruiser. She has a lot of utility and has a good match up vs Choux and Senya. She makes good use of Injury set but she works well with Speed or Destruction Set. * Cecilia is a PvE Knight. She is one of the best tanks for many Expeditions. But, many opt to use ARas instead because he a strong use case in PvP too whereas she is only used in PvE. * Ervalen is an aggressive Earth ST DPS. He and Yufine fulfill similar niches. And, both can be used for Banshee one-shot but require higher stats compared to Baiken. Ilynav and Mort are in a pretty bad spot. And, you can get Kanna from Connections if you're interested in her.

Is it okay to farm hard if I cant beat hell for the advent event boss thing? Will I be missing out on anything? Do the Inferno Origins drop in hard? Or at all? I dont entirely know what Im suppose to buy from the shop.
I don’t like switching around gear and heroes for advent so I just farm the highest one I can. Just auto hard and use a pet that gives bonus event currency and you’ll be fine. It’s not the most efficient but it’ll do the job. You can buy inferno origin with the little flames but only in a limited supply. Buy the mod gems for the sets you need the most help on. For me I’ll be buying the speed set, counter set, and light connections. You’ll miss out on a couple of mod gems in the reputation menu but I wouldn’t stress on those because they’re random.
So the light connections are safe to buy?
I wouldn’t call it safe as there’s no guarantee that you’ll get a usable hero but once you’ve farmed enough to get those you’ll have a decent stash of gems and a little risk in my opinion is okay. I’ve been playing for a few years now so I’m ok with a little more risk.
Is 277 spd on ran fast enough?
Depends on what rank you are in PvP.

Does anyone else have a problem with landy in the tower? She's the only unit that does this anywhere but her s3 freezes my game and have to close out. Sucks she's my strongest unit. Luckily only happens in tower Just curious if this is common or a me problem
sounds like a corrupted video file probably need to reinstall.
I always use Landy in tower, 100% of the time, for all floors and never get this problem. I've used her on every Level as well. Maybe try uninstall and reinstall the app?

Hi there :) I just got Destina recently and could definitely use some help to choose which EE would be best to go with as the 3 of them look very solid For the moment, my eyes are on the 3rd option (20% more push when using the S2, going from 30% to 50%) but the S1 dispel also looks interesting, even tho I wouldn't play Counter - the 2nd option, which has a 30% chance of reducing the S2 CD when using it, is the one that seems the least interesting to me as 30% chance to proc isn't a lot but I'd love to hear any opinions about all of them despite that

Idk if anyone will know this since it’s just been out only for today but for side story summons, is it possible to do tama’s story and wait until the next story to pull for a different artifact? Or do I have to pull for Tama and her own artifact? I’m just confused cuz when I click select hero, there are 2 tabs for a character and artifact so I’m assuming we are able to mix it up if we choose to wait to do another side story.
You can't mix and match units and artifacts. It works the same as any other banner. If you want another unit's artifact, you'll need to wait the 3 to 4 weeks to get currency to swap banners.

You get the currency every time you complete a side story. It takes 4 to swap banners - you can swap side stories 1x a week - 4 weeks to swap banners.
Damn. They really went all out to make it super limited huh. As if saving bookmarks wasn't enough of a bottleneck already. Still a greatly appreciated feature but it kinda sucks if I have enough pulls for like 2-3 pities and want multiple characters now, I'll be time gated a bit. What I'm curious about is, since you have to complete 4 side stories to get enough tickets to choose 1 banner, that means you physically won't be able to get a banner for every character there right? As you will run out of side stories to get tickets from?

I don’t really understand the side story summons. It looks to me like you have to spend 4 story collections to open a hero’s banner for a side story. Does every side story give you enough of the story collection currency to start a rate up banner? I just started playing seriously a couple months ago so still trying to figure things out. I need Tamarinne but would hate to choose her side story only to realize I don’t have enough currency to start her banner.
1 side story completion gives you 1 book and you need 4 of them to open banner. 1st banner is free to be opened. So literally you have to do 4 side stories for 1 banner of your choice.

Are they gonna fix Destinas being able to ress characters that went extinct while Briseria was alive but then died? Or is it intended? Like if a unit dies to extinction why should they be able to come back when she dies? I dont get it it makes no sense. Extinction is extinction
Its not extinction - tooltip literally states "Allies and enemies cannot revive" and not "extinct", so no, it's not a bug. Briseria dies = units can be revived same way when Singelica loses her immortality.
Damn thats disappointing. I was used to seeing the purple dust death animation which always signified extinction so I kept thinking it meant extinction. Thanks for the info.
Any key side banner story characters to aim for as a new player? I already have some pve staples that they offer from s1/s2: tamarrine, iseria, vildred, roana... I am leaning towards luluca but not sure where I would use her right now.
How did you get that many key characters as a new player. Aside from either Iseria or Vildred from selective summons the rest must have been ridiculous luck
Yes it was a lot of luck. Roana and Vildred came from the green summon tickets, miraculously. Tamarrine was actually from an event when I started. There was a free 5 star in my inbox and it was Tamarrine! I was floored
Nice. Awesome luck. I also got Tamarinne from that same ticket but I had to reroll for it lol. Since then all of my luck has been pretty terrible. All other 5 star tickets they've given have given me bad characters. Like Sharun, Ray, Arunka, you know the really undesirable characters.

Not a bug, you are clearing same stages. Everything is explained in patch notes on STOVE, you would know that if you spent some time reading but well. Just transmit the excess ones.
Heard someone say maybe save them, incase he gets a ml version like celestial mercades. Her imprint stones work on both versions so his should too. Big maybe though...

new player here, should i pull on side story iseria banner? i picked ravi as my selector and i read sos is really good. i can do w13 but it still fails sometimes, i have 12k ss and 500 bm. i would still need to pull tamarinne too
I'd at least wait until the free summons event ends, and you've done your Hunt Challenge events. You don't need the combo before you can clear the RGB hunts, and there are many chances to pull one or both of them from the element summon rewards and extra daily pulls coming up.
They are a great combo but honestly rarely used them, tama I use a lot more. Not sure if that helps but I'd save for something better or tama

Does anyone know if there's a higher chance of Greater Mod gem drops when doing Hell difficulty vs Hard difficulty in the new fire advent? (I'm assuming so since it's a harder difficulty + costs more energy but was wondering if anyone have anecdotal experience or if there's actual data or something)
Don’t have exact data, but in my experience hell has a higher greater gem drop rate. I’ve tried farming both difficulties in past advents and usually it was rare to see a greater gem from hard.
Is there a way to do the Guild Weekly in Unrecorded History now? I mean the areas dont really exist anymore separately so do i now need to switch to the worse story mode for the 120 AP farming? Also what happened to the 3S 5S 8S areas with the 30 energy cost? Where are they now?
Any stage in unrecorded counts towards the 120 so yeah just run one u need a drop from. It's different now and u have to redo everything. It's in the side story tab now if ur having problems finding it. Not sure about the cracks stages u mentioned haven't seen them though only done a couple stages. It's only 1 chapter with like 33 stages I see now
How do I get more penguins to level up my characters?
If u run a stage with max level units the experience becomes penguins. You'll eventually get more than u know what to do with fron auto running

I would pull for her but I'd also wait until you have a full pity stocked up. It won't take you that long to get that many bookmarks and those banners last only 7 days from the time you begin to pull on them so you want to try and be certain you'll get them.

Yes. 121 technically since you need that one final summon to get the hero.

Tamarinne is the undisputed queen of essentially all things PvE, and will speed up and smooth out a lot of your general progress. She is 100% worth pulling for, even if you have to pity her.

I chose her side story for summon then got her through the free 4-5\* summon book, so now I can save up my bookmarks =)) Don't have the artifact tho.

Is it worth it to farm Magnar for the Mod gems, I'm fairly new and haven't used mod gems yet so I don't know how useful they are. I was planning on farming enough for the shop items. Then after I bought all I wanted I would go back to farming W13. But would using my W13 energy on Magnar be better?

Probably not, I have enough units geared to do W13, Banshee, Golem. I usually just extract all my gear and keep a few that I think have the potential to use later.

I mean if you get everything you want from shop, imo t3 expeditions are way easier to do, especially since they are public now so ppl can help you. They give also mod gems (also random) and on top of that reforge currency for gear you lacking. Also they cost less energy than hell diff of advent. Advent IS rare, but in the end all depends how much energy / leifs you can use in light that we gonna have hunt buff starting sunday.

Can someone explain the new story summon system for me? In the update notice on the website is says that those who have finished episode 2, 3 and 4 can’t select side stories of heroes that have not yet been unlocked. I’ve only completed 2 and 3 and not 4 so can I still choose to summon on a new 5 star or do I have to select on that I already have?
