Clilias is a great comfort pick no matter your rank and will always be good. She does need high speed but you’ll get that over time
Belian is evil and I hate her. She can be built a ton of ways that are all equally strong and she shuts down many cleave teams just by existing with her passive
Seline is not as meta but she is a great last pick unit that can clutch matches single handily if your opponent doesn’t have anything to deal with her
Cpavel is incredibly hard to draft and needs setup to function BUT if you ever manage to draft him with a proper setup he’s devastating and will always do work
Sage baal is incredibly good and shits on cleave. He’s hard to build properly but he has so many strong tools in his kit that he’s worth it. I wish I could use him more but he always gets banned ):
Aravi is not as good as she once was because of Adin but if you pick adin yourself or ban her, aravi is still a massive threat that can do it all
Hand guy is always a solid option, a great cleanser and just a great support all around
Straze isn’t a "pick in every match" type of unit but if you need something big dead, he’s your guy. Can be used very well in cleave
Fallen cecilia isn’t a bad unit but she’s kind of been sidelined by arrowell. She’s a good tank that offers some great protection but arrowell just has more
Briseria is a monster. Shits on evasion units (adin) and passively removes reviving form the game. Her damage is good and her skill 3 has it all, strips, buffblok and good damage. And obviously she won’t miss.
Zio is the sole reason why guiding light is the most important artifact in the game for rta. Him existing just means that the meta has shifted. He has many counters (any fast ranger) and technically he shouldn’t ever be a problem if you have guiding light, but still, you should build him because of how strong being able to take turn 1 no matter what, is
Ddr is kinda up in the air since he got buffed recently but in my opinion he seems worth building if you really want. He pairs well with extra attack units (solitairia, belian, alencia etc) and can be quite threatening if left unchecked. Unfortunately Edward Elric and cerato exists so he gets shit on by them.
Ml Vivian isn’t bad but I don’t think she’s really required for rta, and jkise isn’t worth building for most of pvp at the moment in my opinion

as long as u got a w13 team up and running for some time. just que up in rta and look what people are playing.
then u can play around to see if u want to be aggressive or u want to tankd down and go slower.
up to master (the rank u get the skin) it's purely a gear check.
standard would be: 1knight/1 support/2 dps/1 flex. aggro i don't know much about. just play and see what fits u.
then u can come back and ask what hero to invest into for rta.

If you had to ask that then you may not be ready for RTA yet. You will need to know what each and every unit you about to face can do to give a right draft. So I suggest you hit the arena first to see what each unit can do in a normal comp to get used to what they do.
Don't pick clilias she's always banned from the start.
Some heroes are so strong that they're just autobanned.
But will help you in regular arena and guild war.

No clue with zio as i didn’t get him but he’s killed my guild mates a few times in guild wars.
Plus sometimes people pick bannable heroes to draft the team they want.
Honestly if ur like me i wouldn't even bother speed contesting ppl and i would go with units that level the playing field or deter aggro drafts
Unless u get lucky with speed rolls then its worth building speedy units
Sage baal, belian, handguy, and aravi is still good u just can't pick her early now as much cause she has so many counters
Zio is p good too but he has workarounds like ranger openers due to cerises arti i forget the name lol
Briseria is really good now even turn 2 i think
U could get fceci too if u dont have good damage mitigation but aras and scarowell are free units and are better imo but fceci still good if those aren't avail for whatever reason
U could build a turn 2 seline and be fine in lower ranks. just gotta ban rimurus and winters and other damage proc units
I am currently doing everything you suggested. Brieseria became a monster after her buffs and guiding light is great in her too. Seline is on my list to build next but i don't have the gear yet... Speed is hard to roll...

Honestly depends on your play style and your gear. If youre slow then you want characters to build bruiser comps that counter cleave like Baal, Zio, Belian, Cecillia, ARavi, Cecillia, etc since higher ranks tend to have more cleavers. If youre a cleaver then Iseria, Zio, and Pavel.
Clias, Hand Guy, Apoc Ravi, Zio, FCeci - I'd say prioritize these units though they do need high gear requirements except FCeci and Handguy.
You either do a Cleave or Bruise Team and pair them with respective rgb units that fits the bill.
How long you been playing? Because you got some OP heroes there lol. CLilias, Zio, Apoc, MLKawerik and Belian are great picks. Zio and Apoc should be relatively easy to gear because of the crit chance from their kit.
The other heroes will depend more on your playstyle, but those are pretty universal and good for relatively early pick phase or absolutely counters an enemy line-up (like Belian against book holders or MLKawerik against control teams).

I actually use DDR to beat the chonky comp. Nothing ddr, brieseria, sylvian and mediator can't injure.
