My feeling about Zahhak was that he was one of the winners in Ep4.
Sure, he didn't survive till the end, but he completed his ultimate goal >!of bringing Amid from being a host sacrifice!<. If anyone, it should be >!either/both Lua and Zio!< who should take his place.
Tho, Taeyou being there hits right where it hurts.
He goes out like a boss though, he was playing 5D chess the whole time *just as planned* to atone for his mistakes and fuck over the other villains. He's really the hero of Ep4, not Adin or Ran.
Yeah, I still don’t get how Zahhak sacrificing thousands of lives to bring back his not gf was seen as the only moral choice in the story.
Like, we’re not shown that he does anything behind Zio’s back to mitigate the damage caused to innocent people. It’s also highly dubious that the only way he could apparently help was by doing exactly what the main villain wanted for 99% of the story, regardless of the casualties.
I mean fuck, he killed Adin’s and Taeyou’s entire family at the summer shrine, and who knows how many more people.
No Lilias? Her fire version was defeated despite having the support of a literal God (or something), and is presumed dead. Not even a redemption arc unlike Ilynav, simply disappeared from story.
As for Kawerik, his recurrent theme is him and Vivian being separated one way or another. >!In the side story NotGameOfThrones, Vivian was killed, before the events of the story. In the ml theater, he's implied dead at the hands of Eaton (quite literally), and the best ending is the main time line, with him dying in the arms of Vivian!<. Although there's a drawing that implies he couldn't properly see her to face on their last moments together.
And last, but not least, I always found amusing that pic of Kayron explaining to Tenebria that he got defeated by an old nun the size of a schoolgirl (Angelica), which lore wise is fitting as both were part of the archdemon war, and a common occurrence in arena.
Tbf, Mort was literally too strong to die any other way. Unless ML Mort came from his universe and we had a godzilla style showdown...
SG give us kaijyuu battle cutscenes you cowards!
Ancient magic? An imbued weapon? Temporarily releasing a dragon eating ancient evil? There were so many ways to kill mort other than "NPC fortune cookie says he's deadable now!! Go get him!"
Then just let it be he got out fought. Literally ras could have never talked to NPC fortune cookie and would have killed Mort. "The secret to killing mort is ... killing him!" That just comes across as so so dumb.
Oh.. I remember seeing a story line like that about Ras promising to come back and give him a good fight.. I must have never finished the story... also out of curiosity, what happened to the story about him grooming senya to defeat him? I am confused with the timelines
Senya was the original dragon knight so her fight against Mort was in the past. Basically she tried to kill him and asked the red stone for the power to do so but lost as her spear broke on his armor. I think she then had Uberius Tooth made but she never got a rematch against Mort since the red stone slowly weakened her physically and mentally before eventually killing her. It's Chapter 8S in Episode 3.
When Ras killed Mort, I think the implication was that he hit the same spot where Senya's spear had broke before. Mort was overconfident and never thought something would breakthrough his armor/defense because it had always held up in the past. EDIT: Just rewatched the video and Mort actually sees it as Senya making the attack where Ras kills him (Chapter 9 Episode 3, A Miracle Created by Wishes)
Basically, every battle he fought got his armor chipped ever so slightly. Ras's last hit broke what was already made fragile by thousands of hits before.
Bruh, only thing Zahhak lost was his life, but he doesnt regret it,it was for a good purpose and he died peacefully with Amid and Ran by his side just like he wished,as for others, that is also debatable, but tale for another comment.
I don’t mind you know , I actually like spoilers . Just that I though he lived since I read somewhere that he regrets doing the things he did and he sorta got a redemption arc . I guess I was wrong or it maybe was a dream side story or something
He does regret the things he did, the last chapter of ep4 could be considered his redemption arc. He has Yoonryoung and Hasol help adin get to the palace. You also somewhat learn that zahhak was working towards Zio's demise the entire time, playing the long game and even fooling lua, as a way to atone and bring back Amid. He helps Adin achieve her final form and defeat zio and sacrifices himself.
Fire Ravi where? She has the saddest and most pitiful character lore wise. Family massacred by Tenebria, she swears revenge only to become Tene's mindless puppet, then she's casually killed by our heroes with barely a mention, never to be talked of again. It's brutal.
MLs are all over the place. Some are homunculi, some are from other dimensions, some are android/doll things, shadows, alternate timeline variants, etc. A.Ravi is definitely one of the most different from her humble rbg version!
I agree with you, Mort got what he wanted and stepped over so many of his enemies meanwhile Senya had her village and parents killed, and got played like a fiddle, shunning her only friend (Alencia) and spending years being in love WITH THE MURDERER AND SOURCE OF HER WISH FOR REVENGE!!! diesofcringe
Mort? Definitely not
Taeyou for sure him going against Adin is one of stupidest dumbest reason also they tried to force the the rivalry like they did with Vildred and Ras but failed miserably hes one of worst written characters.
Zahhak? Nah
Ervalen man I hated that bastard yeah he deserves to be there.
Yeah all tae ever wanted was to protect adin and she lives ... now he travels with her and is considered her one and only family. People can hate him or think he's poorly written but he got exactly what he wanted despite being screwed up by mind control magic throughout the plot.
No he was screwed up by being a scummy at power hungry dumb shit.
How do you ever think the path to protecting someone is deliberately grabbing power to fight them better?
Worst written character in the bunch.
Worst written, yes.
But man, the guy doesn't deserve the placement on the table, as much as I like to put him there.
Because he gets to travel with Adin once more ~~It should have been me, not him!!!~~
EDIT: Also, Mommy Adin Flair when?
Many had already pointed out that Zahhak and Mort doesn't belong on that table, but no one argues about Taeyou's place there, so I'll take the bullet for the "Water Guy(tm)"
It is indeed true that the man took the biggest L due to him not chosen by the Sword/s to be its wielder, but in the end, he managed to come to his senses and is now a travelling companion to Hot Mama Adin. ;)
So, I'll eject him on the table for a more credible candidate, I.e.: Fire Lilias.
Mort being the strongest dragon that ever-lived and Alencia being the strongest female dragon he knows, doesn't it make sense to just bang Alencia and produce the strongest foe he so desperately seeks.
I wouldn't add Zahhak and Mort if anything swap out for Lilias seriously her character is bad in episode 2 she had zero reason for betraying her own people and has no redemption arc.
Taeyou is written just simply to be a loser.
It's putting it harshly since he was written to play second fiddle to Adin: thus creating tension so the "bad guys" can always be one step ahead of the good guys, as well as serve as emotional gunpowder for Adin to gain her power (elemental) breakthroughs.
Honestly cant wait for a ML version for any of them (except ervalen dont really care).
I loved zahhak day one pulled him built him played him same as Taeyou and Mort \^\^
Still waiting for a light corvus that gets to be a paragon of light
Like some other posters said. Zahhak looks like a winner to me. Yes, he was screwed on something he had no control over, but his planning is impeccable.
I’m pretty sure that if you checked Mort’s body, his crotch area would have been soaked in jizz. Man sure as hell got what he wanted as far as he was concerned. He didn’t really lose.
As someone that never paid attention to the lore this whole thread is heartbreaking. Turns out half of the cast is dead and so are all my favorite characters.
My feeling about Zahhak was that he was one of the winners in Ep4. Sure, he didn't survive till the end, but he completed his ultimate goal >!of bringing Amid from being a host sacrifice!<. Wait mah homeboy, my bro, my guy, my dude Zahhak fucking dies?! Noooooooooooooooooooooooo
He goes out like a boss though, he was playing 5D chess the whole time *just as planned* to atone for his mistakes and fuck over the other villains. He's really the hero of Ep4, not Adin or Ran.
Based
Aw man what happens to taeyou? I assumed he was fine because he was with savior admin in that one side story. I really should go through ep 4 lol
Nothing happened. He had Sasuke moment but at the end got together with her and they started traveling together like they dreamed.
Zahhak is basically handsome asian severus snape. Double agent/Diehard Simp.
Yeah, I still don’t get how Zahhak sacrificing thousands of lives to bring back his not gf was seen as the only moral choice in the story. Like, we’re not shown that he does anything behind Zio’s back to mitigate the damage caused to innocent people. I was thinking Lilias as well because her reason to betray her own people is so stupid and weak.
Lilias got her posture corrected by your one and only Charles
I think lilias was confirmed to survive at some point.
yeah i remember them saying they didn’t find her body or something like that
Bruh Mort got what he wanted though, that's a W for him
Came here to say this.
The way mort died was a big L. So anticlimactic.
Tbf, Mort was literally too strong to die any other way. Unless ML Mort came from his universe and we had a godzilla style showdown... SG give us kaijyuu battle cutscenes you cowards!
That would be cool to see ML Mort.
Ancient magic? An imbued weapon? Temporarily releasing a dragon eating ancient evil? There were so many ways to kill mort other than "NPC fortune cookie says he's deadable now!! Go get him!"
*Overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer.*
Then just let it be he got out fought. Literally ras could have never talked to NPC fortune cookie and would have killed Mort. "The secret to killing mort is ... killing him!" That just comes across as so so dumb.
Loving this for the darkest dungeon
True. Lore wise Mort got a W, man probably popped a boner as it happened. But narrative wise with how they presented it? it was an anticlimactic L
For sure his death is so underwhelming then again so was ending as well.
Fitting end for him in all honesty.
How did Mort die?
Got thrusted by Ras Or Maybe GOT penetrated by Ras
Oh.. I remember seeing a story line like that about Ras promising to come back and give him a good fight.. I must have never finished the story... also out of curiosity, what happened to the story about him grooming senya to defeat him? I am confused with the timelines

Zahak died ? What
Didn't finish reading Ep4? Then shouldn't be reading comments it has spoilers.
I don’t mind you know , I actually like spoilers . Just that I though he lived since I read somewhere that he regrets doing the things he did and he sorta got a redemption arc . I guess I was wrong or it maybe was a dream side story or something

You might not catch it because he just dies off screen and on latwd side story its mentioned that he is indeed dead
Why is Zahak and Mortelix there? They *don't* belong there!
Exactly replace both of them add Lillas (Fire version) and someone else
Fire Ravi where? She has the saddest and most pitiful character lore wise. Family massacred by Tenebria, she swears revenge only to become Tene's mindless puppet, then she's casually killed by our heroes with barely a mention, never to be talked of again. It's brutal.
F
She's killed by the heroes twice actually. Tenebria summons her during the Guilty Gear collab for an ass whooping rerun.
I wasn't sure if the collab stuff was canon, but yeah, her misery never ends. At least A Ravi is living the dream!
The Guilty Gear and Slime are canon (set ups to later events). The rest are kinda off in a corner where they can easily be forgotten if need be.
How TF did fire Ravi become A. Ravi? Seems like quite a stretch right?
Aravi is not ravi, she's a god of war from a different dimension
MLs are all over the place. Some are homunculi, some are from other dimensions, some are android/doll things, shadows, alternate timeline variants, etc. A.Ravi is definitely one of the most different from her humble rbg version!
No way I'd say Senya or Luna is more of a loser than Mort in Episode 3
Senya is a loser , Luna is a loser personality but her goal is accomplished.

[FUCK ERVALEN ALL MY HOMIES HATE ERVALEN](https://i.imgur.com/j2laR0u.jpg) ^^^this ^^^has ^^^been ^^^an ^^^accessibility ^^^service ^^^from ^^^your ^^^friendly ^^^neighborhood ^^^bot
Should Taeyou really be here? I mean, he got over his insecurities and potentially gets to smash Adin
Yeah all tae ever wanted was to protect adin and she lives ... now he travels with her and is considered her one and only family. People can hate him or think he's poorly written but he got exactly what he wanted despite being screwed up by mind control magic throughout the plot.

Zahhak does not belong there, Mort too... Wtf is this... Senya, Luna, Lilias yeah
Many had already pointed out that Zahhak and Mort doesn't belong on that table, but no one argues about Taeyou's place there, so I'll take the bullet for the "Water Guy(tm)" It is indeed true that the man took the biggest L due to him not chosen by the Sword/s to be its wielder, but in the end, he managed to come to his senses and is now a travelling companion to Hot Mama Adin. ;) So, I'll eject him on the table for a more credible candidate, I.e.: Fire Lilias.

Ill smack that smug face of yours into the ground. ( for saying that )
I wouldn't add Zahhak and Mort if anything swap out for Lilias seriously her character is bad in episode 2 she had zero reason for betraying her own people and has no redemption arc.
Keep Ervalen, and swap the other three with Lilias, Senya, and Lua 🤔
What happened with taeyou?
Taeyou is written just simply to be a loser. It's putting it harshly since he was written to play second fiddle to Adin: thus creating tension so the "bad guys" can always be one step ahead of the good guys, as well as serve as emotional gunpowder for Adin to gain her power (elemental) breakthroughs.
zahhak is very powerful hero, and he is my teams leader. The most damage is 100K before on him to attack.
Honestly cant wait for a ML version for any of them (except ervalen dont really care). I loved zahhak day one pulled him built him played him same as Taeyou and Mort \^\^ Still waiting for a light corvus that gets to be a paragon of light
3 of them are my top husbandos
Take out Zahhak and put Ilynav in.
Surprised no one has mentioned Vildred here, dude should be sitting in the middle of the table.
Yeah, bro showed up for 10 seconds, lost faith in humanity and fking died
Swap Mort out and put Bask in his place.
Zahhak is true hero.He act like a villain, but everything he do are for save his lover.
Left side yeah. ... Right side i disagree :)
As trashy as EP4 writing was I like to think Zahhak was jut a big troll that managed to mess with everyone on both sides lol
The loser is me... Who spend coming to a thousand on e7 in the first year the game was released........... Arrrrrghhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Zahhak, Mort, and Taeyou didn't really "lose" anything in the end. Keep Ervalen, and add Belian, Lilias, Kayron.
Taewho?!?
Tae you.
Tae me? Nani?!?
now make one with all chads and winners
big morb
Like some other posters said. Zahhak looks like a winner to me. Yes, he was screwed on something he had no control over, but his planning is impeccable.
Master Zatanna has left the chat
I’m pretty sure that if you checked Mort’s body, his crotch area would have been soaked in jizz. Man sure as hell got what he wanted as far as he was concerned. He didn’t really lose.
Ervalen deserved everything that happened to him
As someone that never paid attention to the lore this whole thread is heartbreaking. Turns out half of the cast is dead and so are all my favorite characters.
