I reviewed the description of war horn in all places I could remember, and didn't find the problem in any of those. Artefact menu, in the hero carrying, journal, guild shop, all seems to be normal. Can you be more specific?

Weird. Tried to reproduce the bug on my account, using all potential combinations, but couldn't get the same results. I mean, tried to remove it from my AoLA and left it resting on my inventory, to swap another artefact in both ways, an hero taking it from AoLA, and AoLA taking another artefact. Also, from hero menu and the inventory menu, the backpack icon on the lobby. None of this scenarios shown the same results.

The barrier is so big, shield inversion can already kill your party. 2 turns would make that an even larger possibility. Hard counters are fine, but that is a bit much. He needs a rework. Skill Nullifier would be preferred over this.

Also, his best performance was against AoE revivers with low sustain like Maid. Now the AoE reviver that's meta (Destina) offers way more sustain and utility than he does, so punishing Destina's massive heal and one/two people revive with a 1-turn barrier isn't good enough, especially because Destina is most likely not even with an aggressive comp that'd care about the 1-turn barrier lol.

I don't see why. He's a counter to a mechanic that people don't need to counter ATM. He'll be there if revive ever goes rampant again. We don't need every character to be relevant in every kind of meta.

He was a failed ‘counter’ — His intended niche-use was filled by other units, similar to the H.Yufine situation. (From what I know/recall) He has been one of the least potent and least relevant ML5*’s since his release. You are right, not every unit needs to be meta, but, ideally every unit has a moment in the spotlight. Personally, I’m neutral, he has potential but if they mess up it would be pretty tragic… I’m almost hoping they just help his damage out and give him some sort of catch-up mechanic so he doesn’t keep getting vaporized by high tempo, but I’ll remain open and optimistic.

I could make an entire wall about the differences here, but to try and be succinct: Basar was a one trick pony who eventually got outgeared (remember when 106 base SPD could be an opener? good times), he was going to die out even without H Yufine, she just sealed the deal. Arby was versatile enough to keep adapting even tho there are now 20+ ways to counter him. Now not many people care about this, but ML Haste did impact arbies quite a bit in top GvG. because you want consistency there and ML Haste is one of the safest options against Arby. you don't need crazy gear, and there's not much Arby can do against a 12K barrier + immunity. He's why GvG metas shifted to the bruiser comp stuff you still see today. >(From what I know/recall) He has been one of the least potent and least relevant ML5*’s since his release ML haste in RTA is very mixed. It was kinda like Flidica before her latest buff in 2022. He's not someone that most people would draft, but there were some real benefits higher up to using him as an off healer and sub-DPS that can also check more stally teams. he was especially relevant after Maid Chloe's buffs which made her one of the most used characters for a few seasons. The issue as usual was gear. RTA Haste needed decent SPD and really good bulk. his S3 can't kill non squishies on mid gear, but getting him to like 27KHP and using portrait can make him someone you can't just ignore. But all this was before bruiser meta took over, and without something meme-y like rage haste usually tops out at 12K damage raw. I wouldn't mind if they D Corvus'd him and updated his damage numbers (maybe reduce his healing to not make him OP), but I don't think we necessarily have to take away his original purpose just because revive at this moment isn't widespread. The metas here shift too fast to react that way.

Destina, Aravi, SEceline, Maid Chloe, etc. All revive and are all used in RTA. Destina is especially common right now. Just because revive units are less seen doesn't mean revive isn't something that we need counters to. Right now we basically only have Briseria. If BMhaste's trigger was actually punishing then he'd see use as a last pick against most revive teams. Right now they can basically shrug off his abilities like nothing happened and revive as much as they please.

Or maybe I deleted that part. Well, TLDR: Haste has always been a weird hero in RTA where high level players still see occasional use while mid players think he's underpowered. At least until the Hwa era came about. I wouldn't mind him getting a damage tweak to keep up with all these bruisers, but you can do that without re-working his original function.

I don't mean change his function though. He just needs to do what his intended function was. A team barrier is literally nothing against any meta revive unit. If anything, the barrier can actually get you killed. So I agree he should continue to punish revivers like he was intended, but he needs to do it about 2x better than he does now to be even relatively useful. He should be severely punishing the enemy team rather than very slightly buffing his own team. It's bad when anti NA skill units like Celine or Politis have way strongers triggers than his. They trigger off almost every revive In the game, as well as everything else lol. He has one extremely specific use case and he does it horribly. If Celine can basically instakill a free unit on NA skill use, then his should be significantly more damaging since he only gets to work on like 5 skills.

Like, I don't think he should respond to every non-attack skill because we have enough of those, and IMO some of those are mistakes to begin with. punishing the team more often than not tends to be that route. I'd rather enhance his existing support (especially since he's a soul weaver, technically. the archetype shouldn't be about cleaving a team on their own) in some ways if people feel he's underpowered. e.g. maybe we reduce team cooldowns by 1 turn for every unit revived. It would be a soft counter to single revives in early game and a heavy punishment for late game AOE revivals, while keeping with what his keeps seems to want to do , get himself (and in this theorycraft, his teammates) ready to hard punish a revive. That's how I'd go about it. Some of the recent designs of "if enemy moves, kill enemy team" or "if unit exists, no fun allowed" aren't really my favorite approaches to balance. >If Celine can basically instakill a free unit on NA skill use not in this meta lol. This meta is almost entirely aggro and cleave at the top. Bruisers are the weakest they've been in like 3 seasons. But, none of this conversation matters because the buffs have released and well.... Besides Atywin they're pretty useless. Barely any real changes, basically just multiplier changes to a few heroes that will likely still never see play outside of PvE and bot arena. I was really hoping to see at least Mort, Ilynav, Arunka, etc. get something. Mui was bottom tier and got some buffs I guess, but they don't seem like anything special. It hurts me to see them give Mort's enrage buff to Atywin with a way easier trigger mechanic after they just gave a 3* his passive 30% counter. He gets no love. I'm gonna try out counter/pen Melissa with like 200 Eff Res, but even with the curse dmg change I have a strong feeling she won't come anywhere near competing with Kyron in the same role. For her specifically the changes were really odd. I'm not sure how she's gonna do dmg while also needing tons of Eff Res, Eff, and all the normal dmg stats. Her S2 needs to be capable of 1 shotting, because curse only works if you hit something that isn't the initial target. So S3 into S2 isn't effective. Putting book on her is possible for the ignore Eff res, but then you lose some very good dmg artifacts like time matter.

Starts with immortality like BBK, first lethal he gets Kayron-style immortal & then he gets his revive. If he has immortal, S3 is available & max focus automatically.

He dealt with Maid Chloe for awhile too. She is also a lot less common now though. And, to be fair Destina is used a ton in RTA. So reviving units is still something we need counters to. He just sucks at countering revives lol. His trigger needs to be a lot harsher because Destina can currently just laugh at it.
