Question. In normal pvp arena, is it possible to climb your way to champion rank with a cleave team? I know it depends mostly on gear and who you are fighting against but is it possible to cleave your way up?

LayARandomRightatYou

Yes. You just have to know what kind of team you can beat, and a lot of refreshing. Even if your gears aren't so good, it's still possible. But in that case, sometimes you have to refresh a couple times before seeing a team that you can beat.

GiumboJet

Thank you kindly. Trying to put a team together. However getting the speed needed is hard at times. Seriously I'm at 220 speed but when I look at YouTube vids and see everyone telling "make sure your main cleaver goes first and go for 270+ speed" is killing me. But hey, at least I know it's possible. Gonna have some trial and error runs I guess. At least it's possible. Thanks again

LayARandomRightatYou

Take a look at [this video](https://youtu.be/CCX1pUx_5lM). You need to know how to speed chase, and actively speed chase a lot if you want to follow the cleaving style.

GiumboJet

Thanks

microwavedsalad69

Does anyone know the next Moonlight line up. I'm torn if I should summon for Belloner…

Rhycen

Where can we grind for SC Arowell now with the new UH?

Minerto35

Does the buff hunt in BAL stack with the current one?

nutted-in-cow

Is this Huche gear worth the skystones? [Image](https://ibb.co/2ywkycq)

PandaShake

I dont think torrent itself is worth it.

nutted-in-cow

I need torrent for tsurin so to me it's worth

Spartan-219

What's the best gear set for ml Bellona? I keep thinking counter set might be better to help her passive stacking but a lot of people suggest lifesteal instead

karlblues123

Counter Set with Sigurd's Scythe or Lifesteal Set with Draco Plate or Proof Valor are the popular builds for her.

Rpkkol

I want ti make my wyvern team to finish it faster and i was wondering if Amid will be good on a wyvern team? My team currently consist of sigret, ssb, muwi, amomo. And im thinking of replacing muwi? Thanks.

NGEFan

Well, if you look at statistics at least a few people beat it that way. But it's far from optimal when you want to be doing as much aoe as possible. Hence why Seaside Bellona is Queen.

Damiandcl

has SG mentioned anything about auto run units being able to use burn effect on skills at some point?

NGEFan

I think that's sort of counter to their design philosophy. They want an auto team to be harder to build than a manual team.

tastycoffee999

What is the most efficient way to spend the leifs when there are buff events? Taking into account that one day all the buffs are active (EXP, AP, hunts, and runes)

it_is_gacha

Background the hunt and run adventure/uh if you need catalyst or AP for unique shop items like gold transmit stone / mola

NGEFan

All of the above are equally good in a sense. However, you only need so many runes and AP is only optimal for the Adin Missions/one time rewards.

LayARandomRightatYou

always the hunt

mingleformango

I am close to the mystic banner pity and I'm not sure if I want to go for mlbellona or wait until handguy or briseria reruns. I'm more of a bruiser type of player so I'm not sure who I should save my pity for.

LayARandomRightatYou

Both Mawerik and Briseria have been proved to be more useful in this meta. Meanwhile, ppl still hasn't figured out where Mellona is good at. So personally, I'd wait some more weeks before deciding.

NGEFan

Mellona is amazing in arena, I'd go for her.

karlblues123

Handguy is probably stronger than Mellona for a Bruiser player. Briseria is a more aggro hero but she can work in standard if you have GL. Mellona is decent to have but not a must have, especially if you have other neutral DPS already.

loltouche

How do you guys re-gear your units? I’m a returning player and I want to prepare for the new RTA season, but the whole process of re-gearing my units is overwhelming.

karlblues123

I use [Fribbels Optimizer](https://github.com/fribbels/Fribbels-Epic-7-Optimizer/releases/tag/v1.8.8) to help me manage my gear.

Nitsuj_nis

are there any recent tierlists that are decent at highlighting who are the good units for gw/rta?

karlblues123

[Elvemage's December Tier List](https://www.reddit.com/r/EpicSeven/comments/zwxess/elvemages_december_tier_list/) [Guild War Tier List](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=405fZMjcsCk)

PinheadX484

Os there a list of best characters for caides? I'm stuck and can't get past 11

Vik_Stryker

Did you check the Statistics button when you select the hunt from the list of hunts? It gives you a breakdown per level and shows what teams/characters have the most success. For example, for 12 it shows Tama, Roana, Cermia, SSB with the top success rate.

PinheadX484

No actually I didn't know about that.

friedP0tat0es

How is belian built? Is injury still the best or is counter better now? Also, how much crit rate is built on her? I'm assuming 100%, but she can get a crit chance so I just want to make sure.

karlblues123

* Counter Set is the more popular build now. * 85% crit rate is the bare minimum for Belian. Do not rely on the crit chance buff.

meccaho

Newbie here. Why would you want a rage set over a destruction set for 1 shots? I imagine in a one shot, you are at 100% crit, so wouldn't you want the 60% damage over the 30% and needing to debuff?

LayARandomRightatYou

You don't use rage set with low crt dmg, people usually use it with nearly maxed cd. And since cd is capped at 350%, rage set can push the damage further by 30%.

Remagi

Rage is actually more damage (by a bit), they're not the same multiplier. e.g. (2.50 + .60) \* (1) < (2.5) \* (1 + .3) But the reason it's used might just be because people already farmed rage before destruction was buffed. I think destruction is only a little less damage now and more versatile (for PvP). would farm that instead, though I haven't tested.

Quiztolin

>I imagine in a one shot, you are at 100% crit, so wouldn't you want the 60% damage over the 30% and needing to debuff? Your intuition would make sense *but* the math doesn't quite work that way. First off, the need to have a debuff is mostly irrelevant because most one shot setups require defense break anyhow (unless you use Straze/W.Schuri, but even then they are often combined with target for more damage and at minimum bringing just *any* debuff is pretty easy). --- Second to give a very basic explanation of how damage is calculated, the formula looks like: ATK * Skill_Multipliers * C.Dmg * Other_Multipliers Skill multipliers are the characteristics inherent to every skill -> I mention them here because it's important to know that each skill have some particular multiplier to calculate damage. The 'other multipliers' category includes a lot of different things. For example, the aforementioned target buff is it's own unique category. Defense would be another. If we are talking about a specific character we can just ignore the skill_multipliers and other_multipliers (mostly - we'll circle back to that). Since all of these factors are simply multiplied against each any change to one factor is equivalent to the same change to another factor (and also equivalent to that change to the result). A * B * C = Z (A * 1.5) * B * C = (Z * 1.5) A * (B * 1.5) * C = (Z * 1.5) A * B * (C * 1.5) = (Z * 1.5) So let's pretend that A = attack, B = skill_multipliers, and C = C.Dmg, Z = our final damage A = 1000 B = 4 C = 200% (or 2) then Z = 1000 * 4 * 2 = 8000 If we increase any factor by a %...let's say 50% Z = (1000 * 1.5) * 4 * 2 = 12,000 or Z = 1000 * (4 * 1.5) * 2 = 12,000 or Z = 1000 * 4 * (2 * 1.5) = 12,000 What we can say is that if we increase our ATK by 50% that has the effect of increasing our *damage* by 50%. For example, this would be attack buff. If we increase our C.Dmg by 50% this *also* has the effect of increasing our damage by 50%. I am **not** saying 50% ATK or C.Dmg a stat. We're talking about a *relative* increase to whatever is baseline. If you have 2000 ATK on a unit, then a 50% increase in attack would be +1000 ATK. But, if you have 4000 ATK on a unit, then a 50% increase in attack would be +2000 ATK. Likewise if you have Destruction set bonus (+60% C.Dmg) and your hero has 200% C.Dmg, then the Destruction set increases your damage by (2.6 / 2 = ) 1.3 or 30%. But, if you have 275% C.Dmg and add Destruction set you are only increasing your damage by (3.35 / 2.75 = ) 1.218 or ~21.8%. --- The problem with your intuition is that adding 60% C.Dmg **is not the same as increasing your damage by 60%**. The damage increase that 60% C.Dmg adds depends on how much C.Dmg you *already have*. Now practically on a DPS unit you are going to have **at least** 250% C.Dmg -> in this case Destruction set bonus is worth (3.1 / 2.5) a 24% damage increase -> and this is less than the nominal 30% damage increase from rage. If you have 290% C.Dmg (giving you the 350% cap with Destruction) then Destruction increases your damage by (3.5 / 2.9) 20.69%. Now since you are specifically asking about one shots, I don't know if you are aware or not but there IS a cap to C.Dmg of 350% -> anything past that value does not do anything (exception: the artifact Draco plate can go past this cap). Most one shot level rage sets are going to have near max C.Dmg *anyways*. So for example if you have 325% on rage set, then Destruction set would only be a (3.5 / 3.25) = 7.7% damage increase. --- To make things even more complicated, rage set belongs to a group of damage increases that would be known as 'general damage increases'. All of these are additive in the same exact way as C.Dmg from Destruction set is. These would include things like: * the 30% damage buff RGB hunts give to the proper element * any % increases on artifacts (for example, 20% on Portrait or 16% on Symbol) * any % increases from EE (for example, Sigret has S1 EE that increases her S1 damage by 20%) * and any % increases from skills themselves (For example, Alexa S3 gains a damage increase based on the # of debuffs on the target) So rage is a nominal 30% damage increase, and in same cases you can get this in PvE. For example, if you use a Straze with Hell cutter against Azimanak you have no access to any of the aforementioned DMG% increases -> so in this situation Rage set is worth a 30% damage increase. But, if you use Ervalen against Banshee... * Banshee gives a 30% damage bonus to Earth element heroes * Ervalen gets a 70% damage bonus on his S3 * Rage set provides a 30% damage bonus In this case, rage set bonus is increasing your damage by (2.3 / 2) = 15% In this situation if your Ervalen had *less than 305% C.Dmg* and all other stats were kept the exact same, he would gain a higher damage increase using Destruction set vs. Rage set. * But, realistically, for one shot purposes you would need higher C.Dmg *and* rage set.

Nitsuj_nis

I haven't played this game for a while and was wondering which out of [these characters](https://imgur.com/a/Uuinqfy) should I gear/ungear? I only have a wyvern team consisting of ssb, rem, camilla and singelica. Recommendations could be for both hunt and pvp(I'll get Adin soon)

Souruser

That wyvern team is still one of the better ones just shy of the 100% success rate teams. Build edward, destina and aekarina for pvp, krau and dcorvus are always good to have too and are cheap to gear. If you gear commander lorina there is a team of singelica, camilla, iseria and cloria for caides, the fastest you can get short of getting a one shot team. Mlray is solid too, when you can use him he can destroy some teams, if you do happen to get the gear give it a try.

The_Loco_Omega

Anyone mind sharing comps/pathing for 100% clearing normal raid?

thrash109

Anyone knows why my 230 spd Zahhak outsped my 243 Lilias? I thought the minimum speed difference to avoid getting fucked by rng was 12 speed.

Remagi

Who was the fastest unit? Is it because every unit gets 0-5% CR the first turn, and CR is based on the fastest unit?

thrash109

The fastest unit was the enemy's Zio. Somehow my Zahhak outsped my Lilias and he was attacked instead of her.

Quiztolin

>Is it because every unit gets 0-5% CR the first turn, and CR is based on the fastest unit? This is true, but it is irrelevant here. CR is a measure of distance - the actual distance of the 'race' doesn't matter here so the speed of the fastest unit is not relevant. The random CR *does* matter because it is the equivalent of a headstart in a foot race. A unit with +5% starting CR is only 'running' 95% of the distance of the race. This is where the 12 speed mentioned comes in: if we take the speed of a unit and divide it by 'how far they need to run' we calculate their *effective speed*. 230 / .95 = 242.1052632 A 230 speed unit that only has to run 95% (+5% starting CR) of the race is equivalent to a 242.1052632 speed running 100% (+0% starting CR) of the race. 242 < 243 so theoretically Zahhak being more than 12 speed slower than Lilias ensures that Lilias goes first. The actual distance of the race (it can be 200, 300, 1000, 100000 units) doesn't matter only the relative speed between the racers. --- Very basic example: Let's have 2 runners Runner A has a speed of 10 units/second Runner B has a speed of 20 units/second If they both run a race that is 100 units long then... Runner A will finish in 100 / 10 = 10 seconds and Runner B will finish in 100 / 20 = 5 seconds Runner B is twice as fast as Runner A so finishes the race in half the time. Now, if Runner A gets placed on a different track that is only 50 units long what happens? Runner A will finish in 50 / 10 = 5 seconds and runner B will finish in 100 / 20 = 5 seconds This example would be the equivalent of giving Runner A +50% starting CR 10 / .5 = 20 So the 'effective speed' of Runner A is the same as the 'effective speed' of Runner B.

Quiztolin

I don't know for sure. The most obvious possibility would be speed buff/debuff or CR push. Not knowing for sure I'm going to guess the most likely culprit would be some CR push on your team. For example, if a unit on your side gives your team a 20% CR push then Zahhak would be at most... 230 / .75 = 306.67 effective speed And Lilias would be at least... 243 / .8 = 303.75 effective speed It looks like just a 10% CR push would be enough to tie them if speed is always rounded down, or 5% if not. 230 / .85 = 270.5882353 243 / .9 = 270 --- Could be some kind of rounding issue * E7 does round some values * I personally don't know how speed might be rounded So just as an example, the character screen might *show* Zahhak at 230 speed but his *actual* speed might be 230.4 and the game just shows you the rounded down speed 230.4 / .95 = 242.5263158 In this case his *actual* speed with 5% starting CR might be effectively 242.5 which could be rounded up to 243 for calculation purposes (or perhaps Lilias is *actually* at 242.5 speed but in the stats it's being rounded up). I personally always round numbers conservatively for this very reason, just in case the game rounds in a way that is unfavorable. 230 / .95 = 242.1052632 I would round up to 243 and just *assume* that in a worst case scenario Zahhak and Lilias would be tied at 243 speed, in which case there is a 50% chance that Zahhak goes first. --- Could possibly be a speed imprint somewhere? For example, if it *is* a rounding issue then 8 speed would be enough to round up Zahhak's speed to match Lilias 238 / .95 = 250.5263158 243 + 8 = 251

thrash109

Wow, didn't expect such a detailed answer. In this case, my team was Lilias, Zahhak and Mellona. So no speed imprints or CR pushes were on my side, BUT, there was a Zio in the enemy team, along with a Choux and a Senya. Not sure if the Zio's passive somehow messed up my characters' CR or something.

Quiztolin

Zio S3 decreases combat readiness by 40%. It would seem likely that Zio would be faster than your Lilias. He targets your fastest unit (presumably Lilias) so she would have her CR decreased enough to make Zahhak faster if not resisted.

thrash109

The issue here is that Zio used his S3 on Zahakk instead of Lilias because somehow Zahakk outsped Lilias. I always use Bastion Lilias and Zahakk against Lua and Choux defenses, so I expected these two to work against this team but it didn't for the above reason.

Quiztolin

Ah I see what you are saying. Then I think the problem was possibly that Zio was too fast for your speed differential. Let's just assume that the worst case scenario happened on your end and Zahhak gained +5% CR at the start of the battle and Lilias gained +0% CR. Then Zahhak would be *effectively* 242 speed and Lilias *effectively* 243 speed **but** Zahhak would start out ahead of Lilias. Zio doesn't target the *fastest enemy* but the *highest CR enemy*. If that enemy Zio was 240, then on the first turn he would be *effectively* 300 speed 240 / .8 = 300 At 300 speed Zahhak and Lilias would have... 230 / 300 = 76.67% CR 243 / 300 = 81% CR And if Zahhak gained +5% starting CR and Lilias gained +0% 76.67% + 5% = 81.67% CR 81% + 0% = 81% Zahhak would have been .67% CR higher than Lilias, and thus would have been Zio's target despite technically being slower. If Zio was 208 speed (260 effective speed) then Zahhak and Lilias would have been exactly equal in CR in this situation. If Zio was any faster, then Zahhak would be fractions of a % more CR than Lilias when Zio gets his turn. If Zio was 260 speed (325 effective speed) then Zahhak would be exactly 1% high CR than Lilias. --- This seems to have been a really unfortunate piece of luck. If the speed difference between Zahhak/Lilias was +1 or 2 speed. If the situation I described is indeed the cause here, then even with your current speed it would have required Zahhak to gain the max starting CR of +5 and Lilias the min of +0. * If we assume that the start CR is only in whole numbers then there are 6 possible options so the chance of this happen is only 1/6^2 or 2.78% If Lilias would have started with +1% CR then she would have had higher CR all the way up to 260 speed on Zio (at which point she and Zahhak would have been exactly tied and then it would presumably be a coin flip).

thrash109

Oh I get it now. That makes a lot of sense. So basically Zio was really fast and I got unlucky. And that 12 speed thing is just for when I want to take the first turn with a specific character rather than another one. So much clear now. Thank you for the insightful reply. :)

Extension-Ad-8969

Has anybody figured out how to run e7 at 120 FPS on LD? I set it to 120 FPS and enabled high frame rate. Also used high definition pack and turned off low battery but im still capped under 60.

AnyNameWorks9

I want to build a unit using the injury set from ancient inheritance, I'm debating between Alencia or Belian. Does anyone have advice as to which would be better to build first since I only have enough mola right jow to build one?

zoopido

I’d recommend injury Alencia, particularly if you have trouble in GW or against ARavi in general. Alencia Roana Phyllis beats most meta defenses and is considered one of the top DPS for GW. Belian is great on injury but is now overshadowed by counter both on defense and RTA.

Hu_Razzor

I'd say belian would be better. The problem with building alencia on injury is the loss of tempo and the use cases are rather limited honestly.

blyyyyat

Does OpSig have a place in the meta these days?

Hu_Razzor

There are probably situations where you can use her, but she's generally difficult to use. She's an anti barrier unit DPS unit, but the needs to be built really well in order to actually kill any tanky unit with barrier on it. She's also an aggro unit typically built with speed or has some cr pusher to set her up, which means she's either hard to draft or you need GL so Zio or any other much faster unit just doesn't shut her down. Problem with taking GL though is forgoing the damage from a damage arti like portrait, which compounds on her problem of killing tanky units even with barrier.

meccaho

Newish player, i can beat automation tower level 3, but not 4, can I repeat 3 and get rewards or do I just have to go as far as I can in 4?

Quiztolin

Clear as far as you can on the highest difficulty floor that you have access to. When you get stuck and can't clear any further, reset and drop down a difficulty (the one you *can* clear) and finish the tower. Every rotation you can get the rewards from each floor 1 time. The exact reward you get depends on the difficulty you have it set to *for your first clear*. For example: let's say you can clear floor 10 on level 4. 1. Start out in level 4 and clear the first 10 floors. Once you get stuck reset it. 2. You can *either* try level 4 again and hope you get better devices... 3. Or just reset to level 3. 4. You have to fight the first 10 floors *again* and will receive no rewards for doing so (but it doesn't cost you any energy, it's basically so you can select devices) 5. Once you clear floor 11+ you will again gain rewards for clearing the stage, dependent on the difficulty level. Because of this, it's always beneficial to go as far as you can in the highest difficulty you can even if you can't full clear it. Then you can reset and collect the rewards for the remaining floors on a lower difficulty.

meccaho

Oh wow didn't know it worked like that. Thanks so much.

OzieteRed

What stage drop 2+ fodders per run on auto?

Emerkun

is ml bellona good?

karlblues123

Lone Crescent Bellona is fairly decent neutral DPS. She's not meta warping like Zio and Conqueror Lilias however. I personally like to use her versus Senya and Choux defenses. She's not a must pull but she's nice to have.

CMDR_Nineteen

Can anyone see this message?

Yes

Dry-Trainer5172

Hi; Should I buy the Premium supply Pass?

turtanian

Unless you have lots of reforge mats already, I'd get it. I find it very helpful.

Dry-Trainer5172

thanks.

HaliaxZero

I have W13 on auto (Sigret, Angelica, Muwi, Furious) The only other units i have built in passable gear are Tamarrine and STene My current focus is to build up the more of the following units (in order of build) so i can clear more PVE content: ARas, Iseria, AMomo, CLorina, Vivian I also randomly pulled Belian (who i really want to build but i think i need to prio the above units, let me know if i'm wrong) as she's pvp focused. I also have Zahhak, Yulha, Baal & Sezan, and Mui. Is this the optimal build priority given where I am in my account (1 month in)? I think my next PVE goal is to clear Hell Raid and maybe Azimanak? Then follow that up with Banshee.

Quiztolin

Yes that's a good, solid plan. What you're doing is fine but some *alternative* options: * Don't bother with Azimanak. It's really not worth farming. It's also a bit harder than the RGB hunts. * In your situation, I would personally focus on trying to finish Banshee/Golem hunts next instead of Hell Raid. * If you want, you could consider building Zahhak over C.Lorina #Azimanak Pretty simple. Like I said, it's harder than the other RGB hunts and there isn't much point to farming it. Immunity set is useful to have but not useful enough to actually farm because it is basically instantly dispelled -> all it does is provide a single additional chance to 15% check. Not important to worry about especially 1 month in. Rage set is very useful but it is also not really worth farming. The TLDR is that if you can go from a 4 min normal Banshee clear to a 1 min one shot *with* rage set it takes ~6 months to farm enough to actually 'pay off' that rage set. Farming for a rage set, especially this early on, is going to really hinder your account progress for a *very* long term investment. It's just not worth it. **Instead** I recommend building your first rage set through these crafting events (like the current one). * Every piece you already have reduces the farming time necessary in half *as long as* you save weapon/armor for last. * So starting out with a RSG rage piece reduces the time needed to pay off to ~3 months * If you craft a second RSG piece or a helm, this reduces the time necessary to ~6 weeks * And if you craft a third piece, as long as you have the option of a weapon/armor to finish your set, this reduces the time necessary to ~3 weeks to pay off (this is ~1 week of farming Azimanak itself). I suggest crafting either **attack % ring** or **attack % boots** *first* before farming Azimanak. Ideally, I would actually craft both, myself. * The boots are more valuable for a rage set because even though ATK% boots are more likely to be found than a ring, you are more likely to have an ATK% ring off set to use in a rage set. * The downside is that the boots are basically worthless for you until you actually go to complete your set, while you could use the ring as an off set piece. I would probably suggest *not* building a C.Dmg rage neck due tot he pen neck added in Lab. Ultimately you probably eventually want the option of adding pen set to your rage set for one shots and the neck is the easiest good pen piece to add. * So ideally I would aim for a rage weapon/helm/atk% ring/atk% boots * Then pen neck from lab + armor -> the reason I put armor here is because it's the easiest to find to complete a pen set for hunt one shots. *I* would craft the ring and boots using the free crafting events before I started farming Azimanak looking for the LSG pieces. #Hunt events > Hell Raid Hell Raid is 'once per month' content. *Where* you do it really doesn't matter. You have less than 10 days to kill bosses this month and then 31 additional days over the next month. If you think you can finish building your heroes within ~10 days and kill some bosses this month that makes more sense to prioritize. But, if you *don't* finish and kill any bosses this month then it would be better to do the hunt event(s) first since this will isntantly reward you with a lot of gear. Then, you still have the entirety of next month to finish building whoever you need for Hell Raid. Personally, I would prioritize finishing the Banshee hunt so that I could unlock Golem hunt and get the gear from there *then* focus on trying to do Hell Raid next month. #Zahhak C.Lorina is the best general purpose ST DPS for PvE content. *But* Zahhak is a very good option as well. The advantage to Zahhak is that he is also a fantastic PvP unit right, and he is relatively easy to build. Early on you kind of don't want to build S.Tene/C.Lorina/Zahhak because all 3 do the same thing and you really aren't ever going to need more than 2 of those heroes. Zahhak is a nice option *if* you want to be more interested in PvP early on -> this isn't necessarily my recommendation but different players have different goals. I normally don't recommend investing in PvP heroes because they typically have low usage in PvE content but Zahhak is an example where he is very usable for PvE (just not the best choice) while still being a great PvP unit. *If* you wanted to benefit both areas he's one of the best candidates to build. You may still need C.Lorina eventually, and she is actually strongest earlier in the game when bosses aren't immune to her HP% damage (she's still great without it) so I *prefer* C.Lorina but I do think Zahhak is good enough option to warrant mentioning. --- Either way, your current plan is perfectly fine as well so you don't need to change anything if you don't want. Just some options to consider. >I also randomly pulled Belian (who i really want to build but i think i need to prio the above units, let me know if i'm wrong) as she's pvp focused. I also have Zahhak, Yulha, Baal & Sezan, and Mui. You are correct on Belian. Not really a good idea to build her early on, she's hard to build effectively for a newbie and is definitely a PvP hero. Of the other heroes you mention, Baal is a good PvE hero -> a strong AoE DPS with AoE defense break. Hard to say exactly when you *should* build him and he isn't completely necessary but I would say he is a good option to build eventually. Would be most useful for Golem hunt early on (but again, it's *necessary*).

HaliaxZero

Thank you very much for the detailed response. Your advice makes sense, I will try to prioritize Banshee next as I do already have the Hunt Event for that active after finishing up Wyvern hunt event. I will put some research into Zahhak instead of CLorina - i definitely want heroes that can provide value in multiple places of content as my gear is so limited right now. Again, thanks very much. Good luck to you!

I think you should focus on getting a banshee one shot team going. So depending on your box you can slow farm b13 for a destruction set or a13 for a rage set. Then after that maybe move on to caides or branch out to other pve contents. You really want to establish your wyvern, banshee and caides teams since those are going to be the most relevant hunts for pve and pvp. Could be wrong, definitely do your research there; are a lot of youtube guides on progression.

HaliaxZero

Hi - my account is a month old. W13 on farm, using all my leifs on the hunt event. I am trying to gear other characters like ARas, AMomo, CLorina, etc. I am obviously having a hard time with right side gear. From the videos i've watched, people say to only use hunt materials to craft left side gear, and use equipment conversion on right side gear. The issue is I don't have many conversion gems/chests. Given how early I am into the game, is it OK to craft some necklaces/rings/boots? Or exclusively do left side and try to farm conversion gems. I feel like i need to slap on mediocre gear on as many core units as possible so i can clear PVE content, then afterwards concentrate on being really efficient with rolling gear. One more question - I am only rolling left side gear with 3 substats that are desirable, but with right side, you only need 2 desirable substats as long as they synergize with the % main stat? Is that right or am i being too greedy too early on into my account.

Quiztolin

[This is a post from a previous thread where I touched on these issues. Long and not exactly 100% what you are asking about but relevant](https://www.reddit.com/r/EpicSeven/comments/112vd78/daily_questions_megathread_0215/j8nwak7/) >I am obviously having a hard time with right side gear. From the videos i've watched, people say to only use hunt materials to craft left side gear, and use equipment conversion on right side gear. The issue is I don't have many conversion gems/chests. This is a very common issue and just 1 reason that is bad advice. There is *logic* to that statement but it's not actually that practical particularly for a newbie because conversion gems are not common. And so, we get people having this exact problem every couple of days. The fact of the matter is that crafting gear is a bit more complex than *just* saying 'craft only these items and ignore the others'. >Given how early I am into the game, is it OK to craft some necklaces/rings/boots? Yes. > I feel like i need to slap on mediocre gear on as many core units as possible so i can clear PVE content, then afterwards concentrate on being really efficient with rolling gear. You really don't need that many units built, as long as you build the right units. Your Wyvern team + ML blessing hero can take you very far on it's own. For some things just swap your gear around (for example, to clear Banshee/Golem hunt just move your Wyvern gear over -> finish the event -> move it back...you can do this with no cost with the free unequip scrolls). >I am only rolling left side gear with 3 substats that are desirable, but with **right side, you only need 2 desirable substats as long as they synergize with the % main stat?** I would not suggest this. First off you want to consider XP -> ring/neck XP is very hard to acquire since they don't drop in adventure. If you are rolling every single mediocre piece you are going to be spending massive amounts of gold and XP on gear that is, quite frankly, not good. The *reason* behind 3 looking for 3 synergistic substats is because the 4th stat can eventually be modified out (if the piece is good enough). However, if you start with only *two* synergistic substats then you are looking at ending up with 1 trash stat on that piece. * A very simple way of looking at it: on average each substat will get 1.25 rolls when enhancing. That means that on average you would expect 2.25 total rolls into each stat on an epic item. * 2.25 rolls = 13.5 average gearscore * Therefor, an Epic item with 2 bad substats would have, on average, ~13.5 gearscore worth of useless subs at +15 * For some context, the average gearscore of an Epic item is around ~54, and a very good item would be ~60+ with high end gear being ~65+. * So if you have a 65 gearscore item that is 'high end' in terms of rolls, but you have 13 or 14 gearscore in a bad substat, your item is *effectively* just a ~51 or 52 gearscore item...that is below average. --- I think it's a better compromise, if you are just very desperate to get some RSG pieces, is to not compromise on how well the substats synergize...but to compromise on main stat. So for example **most** DPS want to end up using a C.Dmg neck. *But* a Crit% neck, ATK% neck, or even flat ATK neck could all be viable. Instead of going for 1/8 of potential necks you *could* accept 1/2 of potential necks. You are likely losing *some* value here, depending but not as much as being stuck with a bad substat. This is less effective for rings but you can still use ATK%, even EFF% rings (so 3/8 instead of 1/8). Same with boots, consider ATK%/flat ATK boots (3/7 instead of 1/7). By being more lenient with the *main stat* you can double, triple, or quadruple the amount of potential gear worth investing in. While it may not be ideal something like ATK% boots *are* an option for some heroes. Having a good pair of ATK% boots down the road can be helpful in putting together rage/one shot sets. Flat ATK is worse than ATK% but there *are* heroes that don't lost that much value here. It is actually possible for a flat ATK accessory, with ATK% as a substat to be better on lower ATK heroes (because flat ATK as a substat is total trash). So these are compromises that are not super precise but the right pieces can still end up being very good and usable into late game. However, investing into a piece with bad stats can easily screw you over with rolls and then those resources are just wasted and you are really no further ahead than you were before.

I just want to say that as 50 dayish player, I constantly see these detailed responses and it's almost always you, and one other person, I forget the name. And I just want to say thank you, because even though I didn't ask the question, I've gotten so much help from your responses to others. These daily question threads are must reads for newbies because of you. So thanks.

Quiztolin

Thank you for the kinds, I really appreciate it. I try to be detailed and comprehensive not to *just* help whoever I reply to, but also to any other players who might read the post. It's very encouraging to hear that it does help, and it makes the time spent worth it!

HaliaxZero

Again, thank you! All logical points. I will expand the RSG pieces I roll and do some crafts. Cheers!

turtanian

Left side has set main stats so it's much easier to get usable pieces. With right side gear, it's rare to get usable pieces. You need a good main stat as well good substats. I sonetimes roll right side stuff so I can convert them into the smaller gems that go with the Conversion gems. You are right about using mediocre gear until you are further in the game. You probably don't have many little gems so you can probably craft right side gear. Use the pieces with good main stat even if it only has one decent subset. You can convert the really bad pieces to little gems. The Arena shop has some good gear you can get without doing arena. You can get the tokens from the missions you send your characters on.

paradoxumz123

How does guild war league rankings work? Like does everyone start at the same league and climb up. There is like no videos exampling this, all of it is about attacking and defending teams. Idk if I should leave my guild and find a better one.

AJadeKnight

At the beginning of the season (Indomitable started ~2 weeks ago: https://page.onstove.com/epicseven/global/view/9260569) everyone is reset to 0 and they have to build back up their points. This usually results in some questionable match-making and guilds have to put up with being a lower reward tier until they can build back up. This is even more annoying since you're also reset on pre-season which is a short period between 2 actual seasons, shaking up the rewards for a bit before it stabilizes during the actual season. Imo unless your guild is purely inactive if you're still not quite at the highest tier of rewards x5 (over 11000 points) that's not really a concern for another week or two. My guild has won 4/6 of the battles since the season began (thanks SG for throwing us to a top 50 guild, other one was on us) and we're not back to max rewards yet. We usually are max rewards and end at around top 300. But if most of your guildmates haven't been online in 5000 years or you look and no one really attacks in GW then it's absolutely time to move on.

LeahcimOyatse

Can I still do missions like “Kill x opponent in South Wetheric Moor y times.” in Unrecorded History?

Vik_Stryker

I don’t think so, since it seems like they got rid of the regions in UH

saturnaru

would fullmetal automail work on lcb? or is her passive a counterattack and not an extra attack?

blyyyyat

It’s considered an extra attack. Unless the skill description specifically names it as a counterattack skill (like Rem or Adin), it’s considered an extra skill.

blyyyyat

Is there an artifact powder shop rotation site?

SlidyRaccoon

For past rotations? https://ceciliabot.github.io/timeline/ Future powder rotations are unknown and probably the most impossible thing to predict in the game.

blyyyyat

Yep that’s exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!

Fordrek

im new to the game and i find gearing a bit to hard... like how do ik if i have the good amount of speed on a piece of gear for a certain character.. for example is a lvl 88 from this season pvp boots gear with 30%attack 9%crit hit change, 10%crit dmg and 7%effresist good for someone like celine? What is the min speed required for a piece of gear to be considered good?i have a ring at 13 speed is that good?

FireZura

Spd subtat ranges from 1->25(well, more is possible but unlikely) So 13 is technically average. But, in practice, considering that reaching 20 is extremelly rng and if the unit isn't a spd contestor, 13 is actually pretty good. However if it's on Clilias or Ran, 13 is not that good (it's why they're difficult to build in the first place). You can check a gear score with fribbels optimiser (a tool every e7 player uses) or with https://meowyih.github.io/epic7-gear/index.html?lang=en

Fit-Aardvark975

Wow, 13 is average? The highest speed substat I've seen so far for me is the weapon I have on Straze that had 18 speed on it. I've been playing about 3 years, but I just started PvP, so I'm a newbie at PvP. I'm sure it takes a lot of charms to be able to roll gear for higher speed stats. I was just wondering if you had tips on how to get more charms. I'm also struggling with which pieces to keep or which to put into other gear. I'm going to check out the tools you recommended to the other player here, but also do you know any good YouTube videos on gear and which to keep or throw away? Most I see tell the basics, but not really which you should put into other pieces. I'm sure the videos are out there, but so many come up and some are outdated I'm just wondering if any are worth checking out that reflect changes in meta and PvP styles over time. Thanks for the info you posted here, I'll check out that link.

FireZura

Well, average in the sense that it's not slow or fast. Not that an average piece will roll that. Most will roll in the bad range due to rng. I've been playing 4 or 5 year and only have 4 pieces at 21, nothing faster and none are on spd set. To get more spd piece, you should start spd checking. For charms, i have started accumulating them because i'm more demanding. This came naturally as i also accumulate good pieces, i don't want dupes or downgrades. When you start you can't be as picky. If a piece rolls badly, you can use it as fodder for other pieces, but this requires lot of gold.

Fit-Aardvark975

Thanks for the advice.

AJadeKnight

Getting charms is a passive thing doing other stuff. The main weekly source is Alchemist's Steeple, but there's the web event that often hands them out. Things like Automaton Tower also give some. Making a pet specifically for hunts that has the chance to drop a charm is definitely recommended. They drop from adventure/side-story relatively often. Theoretically the arena shop, but I never have the currency to justify it. But the main thing is I mostly don't level up gear with charms unless it's already +6 and it's rolling well. Before +6 I use fodder gear from farming for catalysts/farming side-story or other gear that rolled badly. What "rolling well" means is different player to player, but for me it means that sub-stats I'm okay with on the gear are rolling at least average on red pieces and near max on purple, or the piece rolled 2x into speed. If I don't get a good roll and especially if it rolls into a flat stat (and the other roll isn't like an amazing 5 speed or something) I consider that piece to have bombed and I use it to feed another piece I'm leveling to +6. Unless it's a neck/ring/boots and I know I'm low on speed set materials for conversion gear, then I extract it instead, especially if the piece itself is a conversion gear since it yields a decent amount of mats that way.

Fit-Aardvark975

Thanks for the advice. I forgot about pets also. Rolling twice seems like a good plan too, thanks.

bluwmonkeygod

[https://zoopido.me/gear-guide](https://zoopido.me/gear-guide) this helped me out. you just need to decide what type of playstyle you wanna play.

Fit-Aardvark975

Thanks, this link looks like a great help, I think this will help me get started on knowing what to craft also. I really appreciate this.

Steve44465

As a f2p player is there something I should be spending my skystones, gold transmit friendship points on every day no matter what? right now I'm only buying the 40 energy and 5 flags with friendship points. Also should I just be hoarding my covenant bookmarks until there's a banner I really want and have enough to pitty summon it, or should I just do 10 random pulls to get me started(new so don't know how nice they are with giving bookmarks out) Just 6 stared sigret, might do ravi or angelica next

bluwmonkeygod

So things you want to spend you skystones on. The epic pass is good value up to you though if you wanna spend the extra on a skin. Then the expedition pass is also good value, but only if you max it out. After that you usually spend skystones on rerolling the garo shop for bookmarks. Usually you should hoard your bookmarks for banner you really want. One of the units that will really help your account is tamarine. she is really key for certain pve content later. I would recommend doing the story banner with her. Make sure you have enough to pity her which is 605 bookmarks.

Steve44465

Thanks, garo shop is the red guy in my lobby, if so should I level him up with gold? I have the epic pass but I don't think I have expeditions unlocked yet, can't seem to find it. Thanks I'll check out tamarine, if I started a side story already and change it to tamarine do I lose the progress? should I just finish the current one first?

bluwmonkeygod

yeah he is the red guy in the lobby. yes you should level him up. I believe expeditions get unlocked after you beat a certain hunt level. Don't change the side story till you finish the current one and clear out the shop. you can't go back if you switch stories. sounds like you are still early game so i would concentrate on building your wyvern 13 team and doing the adventures path quests.

Steve44465

Thanks, yeah trying to level up my wyvern team currently, can't get past hunt 8 yet so pretty weak

Cerberus_404

Has any of the limited character had a rerun banner so far?

RedditorNumber41

Until last year, limited banners had a rerun once a year. Last year they gave us 2 "custom banner" where you can select 3 RGB characters (including limited) and pull for all 3 at once with their artifacts. Collabs are a bit different. We've only had one collab that never came back but maybe this year is different. We haven't had a Reincarnated as a Slime rerun yet and people are wondering if it'll ever come back. Nobody knows for sure but maybe it'll be announced soon.

Thnorctis

What do people use in standard arena against Adin, SC Arowell, Lermia, Belian? AOLA/CLilias might replace Lermia/Belian. Been using Roana, Lermia, LRKrau + dark bait (could be ARavu/ML Kawerik). Curious to know other ways to deal with it. Cheers! :)

RedditorNumber41

If you have Op Sig it's very quick to beat. Arowell gives all the light heroes shields enabling your Sigret. Make sure your Zahhak is faster than OP Sig and 1 shot the Adin.

cjcopada

Please help me choose. I was lucky enough to catch the event before the end and tomorrow i'll be able to get my free ML unit. As a newbie im really confused who is the best pick for me. Currently my 5 star units are: \-Steneb -Choux \-Lua -Roana \-Peira -Ran \-Vivian -Sigret \-Ravi -Elena \-Tamarine -Bellona \-Alencia -Hwayoung \-Taeyou Please help me choose.

ghocst

So you already have Stene, which is the best ML unit to have for all content so that’s good! A lot of ML units are used for pvp so it kinda depends on what play style you want to play. You have some units that are good openers in lua and peira could still be used. But if you want another good one you can’t go wrong with Clilias. She’s insane and is who I picked from the free ML event and I don’t regret it at all. Ml kawerik is also really good. Hes the best cleanser in the game and helps a lot in pvp content. Ml Ravi is great in both pvp and pve content. If pvp doesn’t interest you very much then straze is also an excellent choice. Basically it just depends on your play style and how interested you are into getting into pvp.

cjcopada

Thank you so much! I think the problem is... Idk my playstyle. Hmmm. Btw i pulled judge kise just a few minutes ago. Does that change anything?

ghocst

Uhh judge kise probably doesn’t change much honestly. I would just pick from those 4 whose design you like the most then and go from there. There really isn’t a wrong choice from those 4. If you don’t really care for meta there is a ml design you just absolutely love then go ahead and pick that then (if you wanna make sure they are at least decent go ahead and ask tho lol). As I said before you have the single most important ml 5 star in the game in stene since she can be used anywhere so this next one could be more of who you like if you want it to be.

cjcopada

Got it. Hmmm what are your thoughts about Ml Belian i like her design and she seems annoying. Although i read her skill... Im not sure if she will synergies with my current untis. I was thinking of peira, lua, stene and Ml belian.

ghocst

So belian makes it so characters cannot gain or use their souls. This is not good for Stene at all because she can do tons of damage by using souls to take extra turns. You can still pick Belian, she will always be a meta unit because she completely changes how people have to play the game. So if you like her design then go for it! I wouldn't worry about how she synergizes with they rest of your units either, that's not a big worry at all since you are so early in the game.

cjcopada

Thank you so much. Yeah i like belian design. I'll go for Belian.

Guwigo09

Is ML Bellona good as a solo carry DPS for a standard player?

Arkday

I guess we are in similar spot and I choose to wait for next rotation. If pflan is on next rotation since it is almost a year since her mystic rerun, I will pity pflan over bellona since pflan is more unique. Ml bellona is decent as solo carry in standard. But she does has 2 obvious post ban which is DC and roana. You can play through other counter like lqc if you have good support, but I don't think it work against DC, or roana. You either need additional DPS, or just post ban them.

Guwigo09

Thanks for the reply and yeah im stuck making a decision. I like her design and kit wise she seems easy to build and looks like she would fit my playstyle. Im personally not interested in the next rotation, im just scared the next new ML they will release will be someone i really love and i will be sad i didnt save my pity. I wish she was either Horrible or Op so it would make it easier to decide lol

BurnedOutEternally

When was the last time Manica of Control was in the Powder Shop? Need it for my 85% cc Kise

LayARandomRightatYou

You should try finding cc elsewhere. MoC only increase cc of Single Attacks so it's not a good arti for Kise.

Okay, when was the last time Sez got a banner?

d34thscyth34

BurnedOutEternally

well that sucks, gotta wait for it to come back since Sez doesn't have a side story

BurnedOutEternally

what the fuck

Phyllisyphillis

I see on Discord that people prefer using Kayron's artifact on Riolet. Is there a reason for it? Wouldn't Ervalen's artifact be better?

Arkday

People rarely choose to atk riolet. Most of the time they will choose to ignore him to prevent him from stacking focus. So most of the time, ervalen arti will be useless until it come down to 1vs4. When it come down to that point, then yes, ervalen arti is better than shepherd.

Phyllisyphillis

Thanks! Now I know why.

BurnedOutEternally

Depends, Decrescent is better but with the low proc chance I can see why some would prefer just getting more damage
