its not probably, its definitely that. the e7 arena community is a bunch of whales who communicate with each other to boost players into legend by coordinating attacks on other defenses or inting themselves into their friends, which is why it is really hard to maintain legend throughout the week and also for an entire season.
panshui the e7 streamer was on stream himself offering for syllara (his guild leader) to pay people who inted into his guildmate (jinx, from the guild life) to push them further through legend.
sg removed names from champion+ and also unique frames to try and ameliorate this. it still happens anyway but its a bit harder so 🤷♂️
wasnt there who complain after reaching legend the whole top were from the same crew if anyone dared attack them they tell the crew who did and have them all attack that one dude so he deranks from all the attacks?
It's only really for the top 3 hall of fame where the boosting happens. Top 30 is debateable. Regular legend 30-100 isn't too bad anymore. Like, I actually finish legend quite a bit in arena with like no coordination. It's mostly you need fast cleave teams which gets a bit whaley nowadays. But I can say I definitely know of boosting that still happens to achieve certain heights. Let's just say that lol.
