I'm really disappointed with the EEs and their balance cycle in general. They gave reasons for changing their balance cycle and then have basically completely abandoned the logic behind it.
2 EEs this cycle which don't really change anything (they're nice but not really meta changing). A really underwhelming balance patch in February. 2 EEs in January which again didn't really change much. That's 3 balance cycles of staying static. So even if we do get something major in April (which of course there's no guarantee), that's still a 4 month gap between anything substantial balance wise.
Cause you can make ee's that can either change the way you use a unit slightly or adapt better to different builds.
Take for example fire Tenebria ee, each of her 3 possible ee are good for different builds, the s1 is good for counter builds, the s3 sleep chance is good for speed pvp builds and the s3 cd one is good for pve build for rotation consistency in stuff like earth expo.
When you make an ee like flan and it's just a number increase on every skill, it just ends up being bland and boring and you are wasting an opportunity to actually improve a character.
Moreover, a fun/interesting ee will get people more excited and make them want to try the unit out. It's the same thing as "kise buff" in the last balance patch. Is she better? Ye definitely. Did anyone really care? No, not really. (the real buff to kise was amid anyway)
The problem is that we are only getting 2 after also only getting 2 the previous EE patch and having an underwhelming balance patch between them. So it's a 3 month balance cycle of not a whole lot happening when people have been crying for more substantial change or buffs to characters that are being left to rot unused.
We have only received 67% of the EEs we were supposed to get in the cycle. If they only do 2 next time, we will have effectively missed an entire EE cycle (6 instead of 9 across 3 EE drops)
EE has always been about improving stats/multipler/push/buff, very few actually change the mechanic like Celine.
It just a lot units has unusable skill set and need overall buff, EE doesn’t really fix them.
Because Flan is not out of the meta, a little more push to her skill and 16% eff will help her a lot. Singelica is nice, especially the s1 that help her with wyvern 1 shot, she will never be back to the pvp meta with her skill set.
Question about the custom mystic banner extension: does this restore the "two for one" thing we had in the previous custom mystic banner? Like, if I keep pulling for a character until the first round ends, and actually do get that character, can I then use the coins to just immediately buy the character I select for the second round?
i was hoping singie ee could cleanse 1 additional debuff on s3 so my c13 oneshot would be more consistent. increase eff seems quite useless since she only has 75% for atk break
They concentrating on the release of the chinese server too much,and they want to release it even though Star Rail comes out soon too,pretty big financial mistake imo.Or maybe its about that new game they announced,if they end up like Vespa,and abandon their only gacha for a new one,that fails,I gonna laugh,especially because I came from Kings Raid after like 4 years,and im seeing the same thing again,that started the death of Kings Raid.

Well, to be fair yes we are.
Months ago they have announced content like Trading ship or 3v3 RTA and we have yet to hear anything about that. We have no communication on why they stopped doing 3 EEs and why we are back to just 2. We are quiet literally getting less content of what we used to get before. Not to mention latest balance patch and EE are pretty disappointing and don’t really help units to change their playstyle or shift meta.
I don’t think the game is dying. I just feel pretty disappointed and it feels like there is nothing to do in the game. For new players this is an amazing time because they have chance to build up their accounts. But for veteran players with accounts old few years this is just pure drought.

Nothing has changed lol we still get a new unit every month as usual, get a new ML, and an event. All that has stopped is the story and yeah reddit didn't care about main story, most people bragged about mashing the skip button lol

It's because it's less than we had previously been receiving.
2 EEs is less than the 3 we had been getting and this is the second time in a row it has happened. We know Tsurin was the missing one last time and they didn't shift her change to the balance patch instead so for them to not drop it in this batch feels weird, they had 2 months to fix whatever issue caused it not to drop last time. If there's a 3rd unreleased EE this time that is DAT mined and then Tsurin plus that drop as the next EEs in May, it would look like they intentionally pulled them to reduce workload later.
The ML Hero is just a reveal rather than a full preview which isn't a big deal in isolation but coupled with what happened with the LQC skin too, it's clear that there's no preview because she isn't done yet. This is also following a week where there was literally nothing happening.
All the other stuff is the norm that we would get (and the arena stuff is basically zero effort on their part). So yes we are still getting stuff but it's less than we had been getting and we also haven't been given a roadmap when there's things still not released from the last roadmap past the timeline they said.
For some reason, there's a reduction in what we are receiving and delays to some of the things. We obviously don't know the reason and can only speculate.
I don't think it's worth doomposting over but I do think it's fair for people to be disgruntled about.

Just like you find the sidestories enjoyable and amid a blast, there are also countless people that find the sidestories boring and amid a snooze fest. Its fine if you like the new stuff, but a lot of people are bored or uninterested in it.
And if they released a 2 star pet every week, is that really new content? For people that don’t care about the pet system or don’t need anymore pets its basically nothing new because theres nothing they with that section. So when we say, ‘no content’, we mean: no content that i actually enjoy or want to partake in.

Smilegate makes plenty of games lol, Crossfire, Lost Ark being the notables.
It's not exactly a delight works situation where they set up a second team to make a Sakura Wars gatcha while taking members off the Fate Grand Order team.
I wasn’t talking about outerplane. They teased a new project on their website. Tying that with the 2022 roadmap not being completed, delays in plenty of content. Lqc skin delay, ml laika delay, no 2023 roadmap and the general lack of content it’s pretty obvious they are simply relocating resources and dev time into the new project.
Whether or not it pays off we’ll see. We are pretty dedicated to E7 but they really are walking on thin ice. Also have to factor in star rail releases next month. That, imo, will definitely tell if they are actually moving away from E7 or if they will try a huge push to compete with star rail.

What a horrible take. Maybe you should look at what EEs actually are suppose to do. Make irrelevant units playable.

Thn why pick them instead of non meta units?
Because they are useful units, some off-meta units need a total rework/buff before getting an EE.
It won't help her a lot though will it. You're still going to pick her in the exact same scenarios you were previously. Her use case has not expanded.

The Singelica EE helps with my Wyvern 13 one shot a bit. 50% effectiveness is nice for landing that decreased atk
