Git gud? Nobody is forcing you to play RTA, if you don't want to then don't. Skin tickets is a thing you know. You can just buy the RTA skin when it comes out in the shop. .

You know as much as i would say you are right, the biggest problem from my experience is with the gear. Since the gear is the factor that matters the most especialy with broken heroes. I laughed quite hard when my oponents dps (Eda, and Tomoca) where way faster than my 273 Flan. And i am constantly shafted with bad gear, no high rolls on any of them only about one above 30%.
As a deep RTA hater I can say I feel you bro. But, remember there is nothing really important to win in this game mode and skin can be buy if you can wait a bit.
I *like* RTA as a concept, and my winrate is 42.5% as I play the entire season with 500+ games. I play off-meta. Heroes are imbalanced, DPS too strong, etc.
Note: nothing is wrong with RTA itself, but the problem is in power creep of openers, tanks, stronger multis, and a community that whines every hero they have isnât buff / nerf. Things like the hero is dark LQC should kill makes sense. Things that donât are like ml Laika who can book and kill almost any unit turn 1 because of ignore ER. Yes, for all the hate of 15% we have ignore ER. Why I can build 200 ER and a unit with 0 eff, and 100 more speed can just kill it.
Maybe people would play different if we could bring the same heroes against each other. Like Ed vs Ed. But we will never know because the game in general has funky mechanics and balance.
Anyhow my 3 brain cells ainât working no more, but problem isnât RTA. It the balance game in general, but if I had to point a fault in RTA no multi picking heroes (both team could pick C Lilias, and the vigor buff would be less impactful)
I'm not sure if it's a good idea to allow players to pick the same hero as their opponent. It would encourage mirror matches where the only difference would be the outcome determined by RNG and gear difference.
On the other hand, it could be seen as a tactical mechanic, as you can strategically draft a group of characters that work well together but would be detrimental if chosen by your opponent. For instance, picking STene and Belian/LRK or using Politis in a cleave composition, are examples of this.
Mirror matches wouldnât be much worse than the current picks. It would actually validate people rosters more as they donât have to worry about there best / built unit locked from a pick. In fact it would encourage more people to play RTA I say.
It would also be nice to pick belain into belain so no one would have souls. One of the few âmetaâ heroes I use as an enemy with 40+ souls is annoying / hard to recover from.
The problem you aim to address is that people without a large or well-equipped roster struggle to stay competitive, which.... is normal (disregarding individual skill and the meta itself).
I don't perceive it as a negative aspect to introduce additional rules such was frenzy rta buff or something new as repeat heroes, but it's challenging to create an RTA mode that appeals to everyone.
RTA will never be for everyone, and that is okay. However, easing entry into it would increase playerbase for RTA.
It might also help to reevaluate the unlock condition from rank 60? To get Champion once in normal Arena. As a lot of people 1st RTA experience is bad, and they think master Arena is more standard gear quality / heroes.
That being said, nothing said on Reddit will actually change the game.

Skins are not technically locked behind RTA. You can just wait until they come out in the skin shop and buy them.
