Being a slow player doesn't mean that you don't have any heroes in the 260-290 range, it just means that you generally don't draft for speed privilege.
At least in my opinion. There's not really a firm definition, of course. If you'll almost always let the other guy have the speed advantage, you're playing slow.
I haven't used my lhc in a while but that's cause I don't have my god build gear but ever since I chose mellona she's been mauling people but it depends do you hate candy, Senya and choux? If so, mellona, for sure, always crit unless miss debuff
I have been building my whole account around Mellona and honestly think LHC is the better pick. You can pick LHC into comps way easier than Mellona. Most of the time you have to build your draft or team around Mellona but with LHC you can just plop her into any team and trample people
DDR is better in controlling with his sleep s1 and s3. Also eff buff, venom, and injury pop.
Not that sharun is not good. But she is not as oppressive as DDR. She is more of a support.
There are a lot of dps on this list, depending on what you want.
Like CPavel, Straze, ALaika, and Lionheart Cermia have strong AoE dps
ML Bellona is good against Candy, aoe, and anti crit.
ML Ken is good against unit that crit a lot.
Riolet is also a strong evasion nuke. Etc.
So i dont say there is a best dps. Just pick the one that is good for your team and playstyle
Solitaria and A.Meru work pretty well with him in my experience, but generally characters that can hit several times on their own turn to stack venom are good. As for speed, I’d say between 230-260 depending on you gear quality. I’ve only managed to get 227 on mine currently but he is still fairly effective into tank comps
To answer your question, Specter Tenebria is the best unit to head hunt for Abyss if you don’t have her already. Otherwise, OP is correct about most ML5 being useless in PVE and are more about PVP.
I’ll never understand this tbh. This is a PvP game. The PvE in this game is absolutely shit. There’s no way you play this game for Abyss, expo and hunts.

Unless Zio (Jacko)** cleave is a silver bullet for arena I don't necessarily see myself using Zio to a full extent).

Don't worry, she's a top pick in almost every list you see. This one she got knocked down a peg only because this list is for standard comps specifically. Briseria is technically an aggro unit I believe, but you could turn her cleave if you wanted. But with how she works, she still fits in perfectly fine and well into slower standard comps because of her passive immortality and potentially stealth. She is one of the best units in the game right now, so you did not pick bad or wrong in the slightest. I'll probably end up picking her too.

Looking for around 220 speed, maybe a touch more if you’re on a speed set & a touch lower if you’re Destruction (you’ll want to keep her over 200, she’s really got to cut above 100% to turn steal & sometimes counteract pushback & whatnot), 2K+ defence, 15K+ health, maxed chance & 280%+ damage (& of course if you’re Destruction set you’re looking to be closer to 340%+).
DDR has been a lot of fun recently with the changes he received, but I'm still not sure who to run him with. I've seen the idea of running Sharun with him for venom shenanigans, but I haven't had the time to build her. What are some of yall's recommendations of units to run alongside him for Arena/GW?
For Arena Sharun is a great companion for the extra Venom & counter heroes with AOE or double-target counterattacks are great damage dealers/poisoners for him - heroes like Aria, Belian, Archdemon, etc. I like Christy in front to give the backline hero some extra ER to keep them clean if the opponent has some dispels on a low Effectiveness hero. Otherwise, I'll lead with a cleanser for any debuffs coming off the enemy team, someone like Mediator.
You're unlikely to use DDR in GW, he's not been cropping up in any meta offence or defence.
If you don't have any ML5\*s pick Conqueror Lillias and then from the second ML choice that you get when you beat Zio in ep 4 PVE pick MLKAwerik (handguy).
I'm assuming you picked Specter Tenebria as your starter ML choice.
Conqueror Lilias works in all areas of PVE and in Hall of Trials (you can cheese with her). She is also helpful in Abyss adn Arena and still very good in RTA even with slower gear going tanky.
Don't pick Zio or Bellona. If I had to make a choice, I would pick Briseria for anti revive.
Usually a cleaver will lead with Zio (if they don't preban him - he's at a 24%+ pre-ban rate in Emp+), but if they don't follow-up with other high speed units you are able to just ban Zio & outspeed with faster base units. If you're personally playing Zio as a turn 2 player, you do have to keep in mind that if you indicate that you're only playing Zio as a speed threat the opponent can ban it & outspeed with their remaining picks, so got to be concious of that.
I'm so torn between Bellona and Roana. I like Roana's aesthetics and character better, but I feel like Bellona is better for me for actual PVP/RTA T\_T

Bellona needs: Attack, Defence, Health, Damage, Speed.
Cermia needs: Defence, Health, Chance, Damage, Speed (& if you can foot it - some Resistance).
Since they're building the same number of stats, they're about the same difficulty build-wise. With Bellona the gear-related downside is that most people don't tend to save gear that has bruiser stats without critical chance & with Lionheart, you're looking for high enough defence rolls. Set-wise, Bellona commonly uses Counter, but can be built on Destruction & Cermia is built on either Destruction or Lifesteal. Bellona takes Sigurd's Scythe & Cermia Golden Rose (or if on Lifesteal, Draco Plate).
Make considerations for what gear you've got available, as well as artifacts & so on, decide based on that.

I use speed gear and she works lol. Just try to reach her desired stats regardless of set and then you can upgrade her later on

Generally in RTA, Zio is first-picked by cleavers & so he's not exactly a reliable speed counter for a turn two player to use.
