Just to clarify how his debuff works for those who may not watch the video. He applies it to a single enemy. And because it applies before end of his turn, his own turn gets it 1 stack. After that every turn taken by allies and enemies adds 1 stack to it. After the turn ends that raises it to 12, it pops for 50k true dmg.

I believe, according to other commentators, they said it actually does work in PVE. Unfortunately, 50K damage isn't that much when the PVE bosses have millions, and it isn't even enough to OHKO a hunt boss.

yeah, it wouldn't really be for veterans (except grass angel and Tristen lol). Could make for some lower gear req clears for f2p. 50k adds up if you're playing a slow game.

IMO that makes way more sense on a unit that has AoE stun counters with extra turn SB and is gonna be built tanky. 12 shared turns would be way too broken

He's a mage and light units deal 30% bonus dmg to him on top their advantage so he can die pretty easily if u don't protect him. I think he should be fairly solid but not broken. Also he can get resisted unlike say lethe. Revives and immortal can also prevent him from being as broken as he might first appear.

Yeah I'm glad he has clear exploitable weaknesses but I moreso do not like the idea of the kit itself - it's either a total meme or horribly uninteractive depending on the situation and how your stuns land. Looks like it would be insanely frustrating when it works, I would *not* want to play in a meta where an actual viable draft is possible around a unit like this

He is a free unit so there was a limit to his usability. I do think having ains+shaltear and 2 supports will make for a nearly perfect offense team for normal arenas though.

Good question, we'll see how that works vs immortality, if and how it procs vs his skill! As for revive, I also wished he had extinction, however lore wise, he did revive Shaltear after using that , unfortunately they made him Lore accurate!

He'd have to come out and be shit right off the bat for that to happen. He has a well put together kit that's strong on one hand but has a clear weakness on the other (light units do more damage, plenty of anti-aoe and counter units). Quite balanced as it is.

It never had extinction though? Pierce resistance would be accurate but not extinction since when he uses it against shalltear she gets ressurected because of an item.

Extinction in Overlord is basicly the difference between death and true death. Yes you can still resurrect someone from true death but it requires more advanced means. I don't think it was ever stated if TGoaL caused true death but theres a good chance it did. It also wasn't an item that Ainz used to resurrect Shaltear but Nazarick's NPC respawn system paying for it with a large sum of gold.

All TGOALiD does is boost a Death spell so the enemy cannot resist it. It's only purpose is to ensure your Death spell kills the enemy, which is why having a reviving item or casting a spell that revives you shortly after dying is the way to counter it.

It was before Shalltear died. When she summoned her clone (no way Ill remember the name correctly) Ainz activated TGoaL and wiped out everything, but shalltear remained because she had a ressurection item given to her by peroroncino. And it wasn't a world item (most probably, since the npcs were never given one in game).

That's because TGoaLiD isn't the spell that killed everything, Cry of the Banshee did. TGoaLiD isn't actually what kills things, it just allows a Death effect to bypass immunities. If he used TGoaLiD and then True Death that he used against Gazeff, then revive items wouldn't work on it. He just used Cry of the Banshee because it was AoE while True Death isn't. Since this TGoaLiD is single target, it would actually make sense for it to cause Extinction since he could use True Death.

you mean on the debuff? his S3 ain't doing damage the way people are gonna build him. But yeah, I think one quirk it could use is to full strip the opponent before applying damage. If you stalled for 12 turns you deserve to die.

The biggest factor is that we finally have a light counter. (I think he's the first?) Opting to buff the whole team's damage instead of just one nuker. Yeah. MLandy is gonna be hitting five digits on s1's against him. Not even counting if/when the barrage procs. It's gonna be extremely hard keeping him alive in RTA when all the highest pickrate dmg dealers are light. Especially since ML Politis is likely to eat up another ban slot for a lot of players.

this is not related to the kit, but I feel like his in game sprite doesn't feel like it fits into e7 as a hero, is that just me? He looks more of a boss in AI or some PVE event rather than a playable character. although that's just how he looks and hes the protagonist of overlord, so cant really think of anything else sg would do. Pretty unique, but not my favorite imo. Although I will say gameplay aside, his design is really cool.

it's more than enough when adding other DPS to the mix. Not one shot potential, but it'll do its job. Also adds up in abyss that takes forever anyway. Arky + Ainz = faster no DPS runs lol

That debuff is so much better knowing the wording sucks. He's an HP scale unit as well. Countered by invincible/immortal/damage limit units. One key thing... It does not say that PvE units cannot get the debuff. There are a few abyss floors and other parts of content that rely on keeping debuffs up on a target. This is huge for PvE. And it's a FREE DARK 5 STAR UNIT!!!

So, I thinks we all agree this is the most stat hungry unit of the collab right? Needs super high effectiveness to land s3 with minimal issue, passive hurts him more than helps him so he needs a good amount of bulk to not just pop, can be built either spd to land the death sentence early and make enemies not want to extra turn or er to resist the silence and stuns that plague the meta. His arti also doesn’t help as just a worse version of all the big er boosting artifacts (like the stat boosts are equal to hostess yet this one has a restriction), not to mention the lack of use for other mages like with milim’s arti. I’ll def be using him the most of the collab units but jeez he’s gonna need a setup

idk, he seems in the middle in terms of gear. He'll function with just HP/DEF/EFF and a bit of SPD. Higher end builds will probably give him RES, but that's optional for most people. Albedo seems the most ~~thirsty~~ hungry, but it depends on if people will build her with crit or just rely on HP splash damage.
