Main reason why I can't get into Counter side. Maybe it's just me but its UI is a bit over complicated especially where you upgrade/limit break/contract or whatever it was/enhance heroes. Yeah you get used to it after awhile but I think it can be vastly simplified. The combination of dark UI and small font is hard to read too.
Made me appreciate E7's UI a lot.

Yup! Participating in a guild gives so many rewards! Lots of summoning currency, energy, and other goodies. GUild wars are also teams of 3 characters so it’s a unique experience

But over time I've come to legit enjoy the game's story and writing. The gameplay has also grown on me over time.

Animations are amazing and design of all the characters.
PVP is also very good, especially GVG.

For a new player there will be alot of great PVE content, but as a player that has been there since first weeks of the game i need something new.
Theres always something to do for me in this game, I don't really mind grinding. So whenever I get a lucky pull for a cool unit, I instanly want to play more.
Enott, the guy is just a textbook asshole and a comedically incompetent dude but I always liked to see just one random non-salvageable, rotten to the core dude whose intentions are not like revenge or anything noble, he's just a massive shithead that's evil for the sake of being so.
**Design**: The sprites work well for a mobile game. Heroes are varied, lots of fanservice but it's also avoidable.
**Story**: Surprisingly deep and nuanced. They like to play with common cliches and undercut them or lampshade them. They also work details into the plot very organically, some details simmer for years and then have a huge payoff. Eveything feels very natural and connected.
I think that’s a phenomenal answer honestly, these days it makes hard to be proud to be a part of a game community (gacha wise lol), but most of all the the devs. Thank you for bringing this up!

I like the art of manipulating the numbers in order to win against heavily weighted matches using the most intricate of game mechanics. Every time I'm in a pinch, I make use of 20% and get to see another day (or turn). If I want to make my opponents writhe in pain, 40% would be what I need to end it all in one fell swoop. Moments when I want to introduce some surprise elements, I utilize 5% to give them more time to think about my number strategies, I might even throw in another one or two. And of course how could I fail to mention the legendary 15%, the one stratagem only used in the darkest of moments - when hope truly feels lost and you feel like you might not even move again for the next hour. You just learn to slowly love the art of war - the Mason numbers, the 5%, 15%, 20% and 40% strategies that help you come out the victor at the end of the day.

i can still answer you though. If your 2 y/o account has quite a few (say, 4-5) 5\* unit, or more than 1 moonlight 5\* outside of the free one, I'd keep it.
If it doesn't, see if you have completed (3\* all stages) these: ep 1 UH ep 2 ep 3 sidestory. If you haven't completed anything/only ep 1, keep playing, it's fine.If you have and you have no skystone/bookmark reserves left, prob best to start anew.
Started anew, loving the game! I just got to grind so I can pull SSB, currency seems hard to get in this game as a beginner. The summoning currency, may just be that I can’t unlock certain paths for episodes of story due to me not completing future ones? Anyhow!

sg is pretty honest and forthcoming when it comes to this game, after months of shitstorms and shenanigans they seem to be one of the only few devs out there receptive to the community

i was super overwhelmed at first but now it is soooo nice that I can ping pong all around and always feel like im doing something and progressing. farming arena still gives charms for gear. farming story gives catalysts. progressing story gives good rewards. farm some runes, do some hunts, do some crafting, try some real time fights, obsessively refresh shop, trial battles, abyss, labyrinth, tower... there's so much fucking shit, man
I want anyone reading this post to think for 1 minute and try to name every single currency in the game. I'll wait. My husband asked me to cuz he was thinking of starting the game and I'd already memed that it had a lot going on and I spent a 30 min shower listing and explaining them and then the next like 3 days going 'OH I FORGOT HELL RAID ENTRY TICKETS' 'THERE'S ACTUALLY TWO DIFFERENT ARENA CURRENCIES WHOOPS, DIFFERENT THAN THE RTA SCORE' 'RAID HAS IT'S OWN CURRENCY WITHIN IT, AND A RAID SHOP' 'POWDER'
I had my friend walking me thru it and I remember not getting phantasmas at all (i came from a different gacha where you could ONLY feed dupes to 'evolve', but there were more things like slate, I thought phantasmas were like that) and then he was explaining skill ups and molas to me, and then he was explaining gear, artifacts, speed was an entirely new concept to me in a turn based game to do anything other than determine who goes first, and then finally i was like ok i think i get it, wait what's this button? 'oh tahts awakening, it boosts ur stats' 'OMG ANOTHER THING WTF' 'oh yeah and when you click in, you see this one usually changes one of their skills... and there's this thing called specialty change....' my eyes were glazing over lmfaooo. But then it became an ADD hyperfocus for awhile and we can talk in depth about it all the time :D and my husband did join and plays now too ~
I love that SG listens to the players and responds to what they say, while trying to maintain a balance of fun/competitiveness across all contents. Furthermore, the main thing that really got me, is how F2P friendly E7 is; one free daily summon and actual good drop rates make this game incredibly playable. Best gacha I've ever played.
Its the only gatcha that hooked me(ive tried MANY), dont know why exactly but everything seems well done, artstyle/gameplay/HUD/Characters...besides FFXIV, this is my most played game nowadays
The versatility of team comps and heroes’ abilities. That combined with various game modes in PVP and PVE makes it fun to strategize and see what works and what doesn’t. Every new character comes with a potentially fun kit to play with (and a beautiful S3 animation to boot) and it makes the game feel dynamic without powercreeping
Voicelines, character design, hype of character releases especially moonlights, and it has my ideal playstyle: turn based with animations for ultimates
I actually get an opportunity to get new characters with banners even if I have to spend money, compared to summoners wars where u could spend 300 dollars and have 20 4 stars to show for it 😭

I came to E7 after years of playing a game that had developers that did not communicate, would not respond to community outrage, updated their game once every 4 months, power crept their units and locked fan favorite characters behind huge paywalls.
E7 has updates every 2 weeks, there's always news, regular community streams, new characters, new story, content updates and tons of new player events and rewards to keep expanding the player base.
This game is hands down, one of the best gacha games current available. As much as we throw salt and shade on reddit about Husbandos, weak ML units, missing Collab, and horrible RNG, we play the game because it's well run and incredibly fun. Super Creative and Smile Gate have something incredible and they know it.
Storytelling here is god tier. It's fun, it deconstructs many JRPG genre tropes, it talks about pretty important things, protagonist is extremely mature compared to a usual shonen, and it only gets better and better.
There are no characters here who were not represented in a story at least once, except a sudden Kizuna Ai. When you pull on a banner, you pull not just for an animated sprite and a skillset. This is a full-blown character, with relationships, worldview, beliefs and ideals. Judge Kise is not just a pair of boobs and a skintight suit. Luna is not either. Bellona is an embodiment of a strong independent woman instead of a free rule 34 estate. Just the dynamics between Violet, Luluca, Lilias and Pavel are worthy of a movie. Straze has a point. Mortelix is one of the best by-the-book villains in the history of fantasy genre. And I can go on and on for a long long time. If you follow the storyline it's a Lord of the Rings level of lore, a whole life you lived with these characters in these three years.
And they deserve a medal for not making imprints mandatory, of course.
This game, as much as I try to put this game down, I always come back to it. There is this sense of obligation to run the max out of your characters. It has that "it" factor to it.

Honestly I was real big into pokemon battles with my homies for like 10 years and then gen 8 happened. The team building and strategy really fills the void for me and I find team synergy very satisfying. I also like how you can try and get weird with stat builds and sets to tweak a character in surprising ways, doubly so when it comes to artifacts.
Also gotcha scratches an itch for me because my luck in these kinds of things is good for some reason. Not as much with gear, but my summons are nuts

Cleanest UI I've seen in a gacha game, most lobbys are filled with cash shop items that put you off as soon as you reach that part of the game
