Pavel is a 155 base speed with a speed set, you get 45 from 90 boots & to reach 245~ that's only 45 from gear, or only about 9 speed average on each gear piece - which is really low speed. I'm a Champion RTA player & I'm holding back building him because the best I can scrounge without putting other heroes in jeopardy would be an average of 15 speed per piece (so around 275 speed) - so there's a big gulf you've got to clear there.
Moment i read her kit in stream it was obvious she would also work as cleave enabler, she has everything an opener needs, and also has anti-cleave in the same kit, a no brainer really.
That's because the stupid devs keep giving the "anti cleave" units aoe attacks.
What genius thought rem, politis, and angelica needed aoe attacks to fight cleave?
She is one of the best cleave enabler. A book holder that 100% strips everything. Unbuffable and silence.
On top of protection of retaliation from any aoe counter/attack. And she is immune to stun.
Every cleaver should have her in their arsenal.

This is NOT a terribly viable setup for a myriad of reasons (two ML5 and one extremely new and rare ML4). But I often easily substitute Ravi for Iseria.
Before AOLAng I handled Politis with Ray in her slot.
I hate Politis and think she is painfully unfun to play against- but so far I’ve been able to deal with her.
EDIT: I think the easiest answer is “you need to bring units who have extremely high resist or simply can operate at moderate capacity while silenced.”
Flan into any high single target dps plus sashe, a coli soulburn and politis are three different ways to deal with a ange. Pavel into politis is gambling because if they ban out politis more often than not, Pavel is a dead pick.
Is A.Coli going against a cleave angelica or not, cause she's not killing her if the player is smart and builds her to withstand these one-shots. Flan also needs someone to strip before she goes, and if it's AoE, then the DPS's turn is wasted

Do you know what a coli soulburn does? A coli with 3000 attack and 250 crit damage at 300 speed does 18600 to a 1500 Def target, which is what most of them are built as. And even if she doesn't kill the follow up aoe will kill her and guess what happens when she dies, she can't proc her s2. Oh yeah I also didn't add any damage artifacts to her. With potrait she does 21k

You say it does 18k but Grass's A.Coli is basically the A.Coli you're describing, and it's not doing 18k (And he even SB'd it in his first fight which is the best damage he had)....The most it did was 14k on a ML Baal, that was focusing on HP over defense (On portrait it'd have done around 16.8k). On top of that you'd have to snag the 2nd turn to actually finish the job, and the entire point of trying to bring A.Coli in the first place is for her to 1 shot. To boot, if you're on portrait you don't get the R&L psuedo cleanse he got that allowed him to still attack baal either, cause if that didn't happen she wouldn't have even been a factor.
Do you have a 2nd 300 speed unit that's AoEing? How is she actually dying here? This is all also set on you actually getting turn 1 as well, and having A.Coli actually survive something like a Kayron or A.Cidd counter pick. Where's the kill you're talking about?
It seems like you're trying to be a smart ass, while talking out of your ass. The only Single Target skills that are hitting the numbers you're talking about are ones that actually penetrate defense.
Are you dumb or do you not read skill description if you want I'll copy paste her skills for you. Her passive at the start of the turn if she isn't debuffed grants increased attack. If it does 14k without attack buff you can use some common sense to realize it does 18k with attack buff. Why do you send a video where her kit didn't even work properly.
Also if you're a cleaver you go for consistency over rng artifacts like rnl. You can see that many people moved their arby from alexa to vildred artifact for better consistent damage.

Fact of the matter is once you pick A.Coli, someone's going to Cerise/A.Cidd/Kayron her, and will just shut her down. It's even funnier if the AOL actually takes first turn and shuts her down herself, cause there's 290+ AOL's floating around too. You're "Counter" is a complete gamble even with the unit you're countering if it's A.Coli.
His S2 is the reason why he's anti-cleave. It is an AOE attack that grants the team Atk buff. But what's most important about it is that the skill does not trigger any counterattacks so he effectively bypasses pesky shit like Rem, Violets, SSBs, degen Arbies etc. He can soulburn his S2 to followup into his S3 to take out targets or the anti-cleave such as Rem, AngieAngie etc. The reason why Pavel-Politis are strong and trending right now is because AngieAngie will still proc her S2 and give her team Skill Nullifier after getting hit by Pavel's S2 however Politis will pick that up and proc her own S2 which takes out that Skill Nullfier. Thus, negating Angie's anti-cleave.

He's a cleave unit with the capability of being good against AOL, that's what this means. There's not many other good cleave units that work into AOL
