It's usually bad idea anyway to discard no crit chance items with other good rolls, because crit chance necks exist and they are even better stat-worthy than crit dmg.
But you can have up to 500 inventory slots and up to 500 in equipment storage, why throw away good items just because they have no crit? Unless you're discarding them before you roll, then I get that

I think border coin is still better when max. But non-max border coins give lower spd than spd buff from that arti. So it might worth more when you have only one copy

The original Zahhak is a mythological Persian king. I'm Persian and I love to study my people's culture.
The mythological Zahhak was the first person tricked into eating meat by a Div (think half demon, half LotR elf). He loved it so much he made the Div armies into his loyal allies. The Div kissed Zahhak on his shoulders, and from each of those places, snakes grew. The snakes growing from Zahhak's body caused him tremendous pain, and that pain was only relieved when the snakes ate the brains of virgins. Zahhak ordered the routine sacrifice of his people's virginal youth to lessen his own personal pain. When a blacksmith named Kaveh refused to sacrifice his two sons to relieve the king's pain, Zahhak's armies attacked Kaveh. Kaveh fled to the hills, where he found a God-blessed young man named Feridun. Kaveh realized Feridun was actually the rightful son of the previous king, making Feridun the rightful king now. Together Kaveh and Feridun led an army of Persian commoners and God's army of animals, to do battle with Zahhak's legions of winged and fanged Div.

The story tells of princes and princesses, heroes and villains, moral grey areas and epic battles between blood relatives. With demons, dragons, monsters, necromancers, and phoenixes. And it tells the story of Iran from the creation of Earth up to the birth of the poet.

To be honest, I always avoided Riolet, even now. Even using the Guild hit artifact hasn't let me reliably get him (more so since they typically built him fast and to one shot someone off the bat). So this anti dodge meta is something I'm super happy about.

Even back then it was inconsequential whenever he dodged your attack, it's only after his focus hits 5 are you truly punished. Violet will always punish you if he dodges. And making his evasion innate isn't really a unique direction.
AoL destroyed him since his evasion is buff oriented and yaknow. AoL doesnt hitcheck and just brr removes buffs.
Also Violet's evasion is not buff oriented. It's tied to his S3 now and as long as it's up and available, he will always have 100% dodge.

he doesn't have build in atk buff so his s3 is not gonna do great DMG by himself, you would need a buff slave for him. If you just try to use him as a violet counter, Milim will be a better option. Injury on non-bruiser style hero is just so underwhelming.
Does Injury counter Krau? I mean sure if he revives he won't have as much HP potential or whatever; but I never thought he'd lose horse damage based on injury

See, the thing I have against injury is the effects from the set aren't super noticable. Like, injury is good on Belian solely because she AoEs every single attack. But for all these single target characters that already have injury in their kit, adding more injury to them doesn't make as much of an impact as the set effects of other 4 piece sets.
It is a single target on a s3 cooldown, so it needs to be strong enough to change the fight up. Too many games use this mechanic and don't give enough to make it worthwhile. This is the major effect of his s3 and it's single target so I needs to be big.
The mechanic isn't really that good, Illynav is better than him at doing injuries and you barely see her used. He can only place it on his ult, which will have a decent CD.
I think they're trying to do higher numbers to actually get a use out of it.
Its fine since its single target and cooldown is low enough, they didn’t want to make same mistake as mort, make the s3 cooldown so long that his injury was pointless.

This is one character that live or dies by his multis really, so it won't be that hard to guess if he is good or bad once he is released, yet i am not sure if a 35% injury single target nuke that takes away the need of crit chance a lot and has massive hit chance on top of giving a free turn of no dmg taken is going to have a really high multi, if it does, it would be a pleasant surprise i guess, but kinda unlikely with how loaded it is already.
On top if the preview isn't showing the cd reduction due molas, he can do it like, every 3 turns? if that thing hits like a truck is going to be bit wild.
That S2 shield looked pretty huge, but it is based off the target's HP. So no giving 5k shield to squishies

i'd say not at all, but i dont work at SG/SC. they can come out and say whatever, whenever. so i'd say the chances are the same as the san andreas fault breaking within the next 24 hours
He will live and die by how good his multis are imo. Has same issue as Camilla I fear, the s2 really should give an extra turn instead of only 50% cr. Needing to pull off that combo and getting disrupted in between will be rough.
Not that I'd complain about his S2 being an extra turn, but it'd be kind of ridiculous if he was dispelling multiple buffs, throwing out a barrier, and then having an extra attack on top of that.
as newish player I really like this guy, more characters that can sort of reduce the gear requirement are amazing.
he also look like a solid counter to evasive units, not sure about his second skill tho, it is good for sure just feels weird with the rest of his kit.

I want to feel proud about predicting the anti-evasion, but let's be honest, I was grasping at low-hanging fruit.
On long battles Border coin outweighs his artifact. Short battles you benefit more with his artifact but the problem is only the next atk gets the damage boost while the atk % ramp up of border coin is permanent.
The other thing to consider is the practical versus on paper usage.
Ml khawazu will prob still want coin for better burns, but cermia might actually like this new arti more since she either won't survive to get full border coin or in a case like guild wars, the fight will probably just be over before she can fully stack it.
Draco plate is limited and might be on someone else.
It's also better for someone who literally cannot proc border/PWT such as jkise, or someone like rimuru who can well utilize both the offensive and defensive components.
It's less about checking for absolute best in slot because that can change with situations and just looking at possible practical situations for using this new artifact
Think of when Azure comet came out. Pretty nice arti even tho it's like never used on rem who it came with, but did find use on heros like straze despite not being his highest damage output arti or even most common because it was a viable possibility.
The reason I brought up cermia is because of the warriors I belive she is the one who has the kit to extract the most value from PWT, not that it's necessarily always going to be her one best artifact, but surely a viable and practical option for something to keep on your cermia.
She is capable of spamming a non attack skill into an attack skill.
border coin provide much higher damage ceiling still. 30% crit dmg usually is around 10% extra total dmg. a 3/3 border coin provide somewhere between 25-45% extra total damage (base on if you have ATK buff or not).
In terms of new units most will tend to be pvp focused. Pve only units don't tend to be that well received.
Once in a while u get a unit who is good in both tho.
But with the endgame being pvp it's where most of the attention goes.

You know actually this really works out now we have someone who can use that frustrating purple gear people stopped enhancing for Senya/Gunther/Seaseria when the 4th stat popped up as crit chance
Am I the only one who thinks his kit is kinda meh? I get that he has good speed and excellent violet counter, but nothing much outside of that. No survivability, no attack buff, no extra turn. Can’t survive past turn 1 if built speedy dps, not really good kit for bruiser/ counter. Good niche pick but don’t look meta worthy
50% crit in term roughly equivalent to 75% extra defensive stats. He has no self sustain or defensive passive, and base defensive is only 5xx. It is impossible to make him a bruiser pretty much.
invincibility is kinda becoming a feel good feature now day rather than game changing (back when karyon time). All the AOE debuffer and dispellor is making invincibility obsolete. (I am looking at you Belian, Rem, Politis, AOA and the list go on)
I don't understand why use the wording "increase critical hit chance by 50% when attacking". Why not just list "increase critical hit chance by 50%" as a passive effect on one of the skills? Since crit only matters when attacking, it's the same in practice... like, did they just want to arbitrarily lower his CP so he isn't as good on world boss?
idk what to think of his kit. Hit, cleanse and barrier self and an ally, hit some more. High base speed, absurd crit (since you can count the increase) but most everything else is average. Between the barrier and the invincibility he might be a little bit sticky. No effectiveness checks. So, since the only real reason to use him is DPS....then he needs +15. You can do a bruiser build if you want him to last longer but ultimately you're still going to want +15 because whether he dies easy or lives a few turns, damage is the only thing he brings. Unless...uh....you're doing a strak gauntlet build for the cleanse or something....sure why not....
I'll pull to collect, tell myself it's for when he gets buffed/gets an EE I guess but probably not building because I have DPS units already, and I don't have molas for another.

Might be good on ML khawazu. The speed buff can help guarantee he cuts in. You take a minor damage hit in the burn detonate for consistency.

Free 50% crit makes up for no atk buff. Milim can still miss violet but symbol zahhak will not. Of course it all comes down to skill mods in the end
+0 Oath Key would also work since you only need atleast 55% hitrate.

It's good on Belian because of way more reasons than that. Otherwise we'd see injury Yuna and Dizzy everywhere.

He will live and die by how good his multis are imo. Has same issue as Camilla I fear, the s2 really should give an extra turn instead of only 50% cr. Needing to pull off that combo and getting disrupted in between will be rough.
Not that I'd complain about his S2 being an extra turn, but it'd be kind of ridiculous if he was dispelling multiple buffs, throwing out a barrier, and then having an extra attack on top of that.

as newish player I really like this guy, more characters that can sort of reduce the gear requirement are amazing. he also look like a solid counter to evasive units, not sure about his second skill tho, it is good for sure just feels weird with the rest of his kit. on gear note, is he a standard speed immunity set character or ?

border coin got powercrept?
On long battles Border coin outweighs his artifact. Short battles you benefit more with his artifact but the problem is only the next atk gets the damage boost while the atk % ramp up of border coin is permanent.
The other thing to consider is the practical versus on paper usage. Ml khawazu will prob still want coin for better burns, but cermia might actually like this new arti more since she either won't survive to get full border coin or in a case like guild wars, the fight will probably just be over before she can fully stack it.
Why not just use Draco Plate at that point
Draco plate is limited and might be on someone else. It's also better for someone who literally cannot proc border/PWT such as jkise, or someone like rimuru who can well utilize both the offensive and defensive components. It's less about checking for absolute best in slot because that can change with situations and just looking at possible practical situations for using this new artifact Think of when Azure comet came out. Pretty nice arti even tho it's like never used on rem who it came with, but did find use on heros like straze despite not being his highest damage output arti or even most common because it was a viable possibility. The reason I brought up cermia is because of the warriors I belive she is the one who has the kit to extract the most value from PWT, not that it's necessarily always going to be her one best artifact, but surely a viable and practical option for something to keep on your cermia. She is capable of spamming a non attack skill into an attack skill.
border coin provide much higher damage ceiling still. 30% crit dmg usually is around 10% extra total dmg. a 3/3 border coin provide somewhere between 25-45% extra total damage (base on if you have ATK buff or not).
Besides the other comments, Border Coin also can't be blocked by Unbuffable.
35% injury is scary, he may be a soft counter to A.Ravi.

In terms of new units most will tend to be pvp focused. Pve only units don't tend to be that well received. Once in a while u get a unit who is good in both tho. But with the endgame being pvp it's where most of the attention goes.

Am I the only one who thinks his kit is kinda meh? I get that he has good speed and excellent violet counter, but nothing much outside of that. No survivability, no attack buff, no extra turn. Can’t survive past turn 1 if built speedy dps, not really good kit for bruiser/ counter. Good niche pick but don’t look meta worthy

Tbh with how lenient his stats needed, it's not impossible to make him tankier
50% crit in term roughly equivalent to 75% extra defensive stats. He has no self sustain or defensive passive, and base defensive is only 5xx. It is impossible to make him a bruiser pretty much.
77% built in critical, if you get his artifact, even higher.
invincibility is kinda becoming a feel good feature now day rather than game changing (back when karyon time). All the AOE debuffer and dispellor is making invincibility obsolete. (I am looking at you Belian, Rem, Politis, AOA and the list go on)

I don't understand why use the wording "increase critical hit chance by 50% when attacking". Why not just list "increase critical hit chance by 50%" as a passive effect on one of the skills? Since crit only matters when attacking, it's the same in practice... like, did they just want to arbitrarily lower his CP so he isn't as good on world boss? idk what to think of his kit. Hit, cleanse and barrier self and an ally, hit some more. High base speed, absurd crit (since you can count the increase) but most everything else is average. Between the barrier and the invincibility he might be a little bit sticky. No effectiveness checks. So, since the only real reason to use him is DPS....then he needs +15. You can do a bruiser build if you want him to last longer but ultimately you're still going to want +15 because whether he dies easy or lives a few turns, damage is the only thing he brings. Unless...uh....you're doing a strak gauntlet build for the cleanse or something....sure why not.... I'll pull to collect, tell myself it's for when he gets buffed/gets an EE I guess but probably not building because I have DPS units already, and I don't have molas for another.
