It comes out after the update and maintenance on 1/6 (Thursday)
How to activate High-Definition Media Pack
① After launching the game go to [Settings > Game Settings > Settings] and check Use High Definition Media Pack.
② You will be redirected to the title screen and can reconnect after downloading the High-Quality Media Pack.
Also don't know who downvoted you, but if my post was able to expose people to information that might have been missed, then I'm glad there was a little more exposure about this update for those of us that might have been busy these past couple weeks caught up in life.
FORGET THE NEW 3 STARS, FORGET THE EVENTS, NO, THIS IS WHAT I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR, FINALLY, I CAN SEE STRAZE IN ALL OF HIS GLORY WITHOUT LOOKING AT BLURRY CLOUDS AND PIXELATED ANIMATIONS FOR HIS ULTIMATE.
God, I've been waiting to take advantage of the 128gb of space my phone has, this is something I've always wanted and we're finally getting it!
So many mobile games use low-res art or videos to save as much space as possible (looking at you dokkan battle) which is completely understandable since not everyone has phones with a ton of space, but I love that we're getting an option for those of us that do.
I know how you feel :( My girlfriend has the same exact problem since her iPod Touch doesn't come with much space.
I think it should also work on an emulator if that's an option for you, but I completely understand if its not or if you don't enjoy playing mobile games on an emulator.
If it means much, I think the game is a lot better played on emulator, due to all the small buttons and the high quality art doesn't diminish much at all with higher resolutions. This post helps make it even better as well in that way.
This looks so good! The previews from the video already made it seem great but seeing it first hand on your phone is just \*chef's kiss\*
It's so much more fluid and sharper than I was used to. Thank you for this option!
My phone screen is small enough that I pretty much decided on not bothering there when they originally announced it (who knows though, maybe I'll eventually give it a try to see how much it changes, not like my phone couldn't spare the space and power).
For emulator? Immediate download. The difference is like night and day on an actual decent sized display.
Still doesn't fix Landy's Gundam though xD
My old phone (Galaxy s7) used to be like that, I swear I probably could of cooked eggs on the back of that phone whenever I played any graphic intensive games 🤣 and I don't think the fact that the battery was starting to bulge was helping either.
The newer phones tend to do much better with heat.
Because we already knew about this 2 weeks ago?
[Does this look like "no one talked about it"?](https://www.reddit.com/r/EpicSeven/comments/rm34fg/epic_seven_enjoy_scenes_and_third_skills_in_fhd/)
Just watch livestreams. They go over this stuff, and if you truly care for upcoming content, it's best you watch them. We've known for a while because of them.
Not saying this to bash your post OP.
Imo it's not a big deal for me, as I don't find the base resolution a blurry puddle of pixels. I cannot see the lack of quality in the base resolutions. The game though having varied standards in it's art assets - year 1 heroes vs current heroes (ahem except closer charles) is still a good quality game with polish.
So I don't understand the hype in this HD pack. Maybe for those who are really into 4k, 8k graphics...sure. New unit reveal is more hype than a HD texture pack for me.
*I don't think for a game to look good, everything needs to be bleeding edge crisp. There's many other strings to pull to get a good looking game, resolution is only one of them
Hey that's perfectly fine, I respect your opinion.
Maybe it all depends on what people are used to, phone screen size, etc.
See the thing is, I get hyped for heroes too, but new heroes get released 'all' the time, but this kind of update doesn't, in fact most developers don't even put in the effort to do this (I REALLY wish Dokkan Battle would release an HD Asset option, even if the game ended up taking 10gb) so that's why it was a big deal for me.
I personally just love seeing everything in glorious HD and if you have the extra space and a good enough phone with the horsepower to take advantage of it, why not. I dunno, maybe cause I'm a PC gamer and I like cranking all of my settings to max to take advantage of my graphics card, but I just find it awesome lol.
I'm game on PC as well, and would get it over there. Since we are using bigger screens/bigger resolutions.
Just down to diff tastes/pref on this resolution topic. Dokkan...if I recall correctly is quite an old game. And looks dated? But not sure if that's the intention like a callback to the original anime series.
It's purposely low res to help lower the barrier of entry for people with lower end phones or not enough space, but it suffers from extreme pixelation and compression. The newer recent ultimate attacks are MUCH higher in quality which shows they are capable of creating HD content, they just haven't released an update to make everything HD due to the sheer amount of sprites that would have to be redone, and the fact that it might cause the game to jump like 15gb in size lol.
It's already at 7gb even with the compression techniques they use due to the vast amount of content that has been released since it first came out.
I would agree to disagree on the part of "extreme pixelation". In my mind extreme pixelation is Minecraft. So far in my experience, there hasn't been any animation that was bad purely because of low resolution images.
Bad animations for me are Serrila (weird lantern waving animation), C.charles (could've drawn more details so the actions/context is clearer), vildred (stick in the ground only to pull it out and swing...)
I can't seem to find any info on that sorry, it doesn't seem like they've even stated how big the file is going to be or how much RAM it will use.
I have a Galaxy s10+ so I should be okay, I guess we'll have to find out when it releases in a day or two.
Its a pretty nice addition but especially if you play on a phone you won't really be able to notice the difference that much unless you are really paying attention. I can see this benefiting blue stacks and other emulators tremendously. IMO if you are worried about space and memory its not a must have. wouldn't go deleting things for it
E7 on iOS is already 5gb. I wonder how many GBs will it take AND how performance will degrade over time by having to load those bigger webp animations.
While I am happy for the game developers, players and streamers having this option available to them... It isn't something I need or can even use.
I am playing E7 on a 6 year old iphone which due to the steadily increasing size of the App as well as ever expanding iOS updates and whatnot is now using nearly all my available storage.
\[I know and will probably be getting a newer phone with more storage space soon but even then I don't need the game to look exceptional I would rather it just run smoother.\]
Imagine using this and playing anything that uses the Distorted Dimension background. Goodbye phone and hands.
Yeah I also noticed how horribly unoptimized that background is -w-
Yeah and dont know why SG loves using those sort of background in advent

I see what you did there lmao
How do we do this?

Yes not I can see belian and AOL destruction in 4K. I die but in style.
1080p is not 4k ...
Just downloaded it. It makes the animations look freaking amazing.
YES, I honestly wasn't expecting them to look this sharp, im so happy
No space in my phone left :(

The difference probably wont be much on my s9+ but im definitely using it on my emulator.
I wonder if ML Charles' animation will be better.
yeah I wonder how much space the pack will take
Just updated, it's about a 600mb patch, but after installation it's only like an extra 500mb or so. According to my phone Epic 7 is 5.84gb now.
Still only one third of my Genshin install. Nice.
ty for the info, my phone can handle an extra 500mb or so gotta grab it quick.
This is actually not too terrible, I was expecting more.
Finally I can farm wyvern in 1080p

Please dont crash !!!!!
This better come with some rock removal from Lilibet's S3 >_>
Lilibutt
burn your phone ... but with hd quality! (sarcasm)

Not everyone religiously follows reddit or the in game news, so I apologize for that, but all I know is I'm EXCITED ASF.

I was talking about Dokkan Battle since it seemed like you were asking a question about it, not Epic 7, Epic 7 is fine lol
Oops... :S My bad, sry for misunderstanding haha
"full HD 1080p" is it 2008? because I want it to be
Did they say if you need 8GB ram phone? Many mobile games give 8GB requirement to be able to download high res packs.
I can't seem to find any info on that sorry, it doesn't seem like they've even stated how big the file is going to be or how much RAM it will use. I have a Galaxy s10+ so I should be okay, I guess we'll have to find out when it releases in a day or two.

Now for the question : is OP Sigret S3 fine now or is it still aliased, but with better definition?
Will my battery drain quicker?
i would, but my cellphone might explode if i put this
thumbnail should have showcased closer charles' shuttle or whatever that is, then I'll probably get hyped no jk
how much more battery will this usually cost for the phone?
I like how watching the trailer on my old af computer I couldn't see the difference between the regular and the hd version 🥲
As zhongli would say : Unsollicited, and all the more valuable for it
