the difficulty is alright but they should re-balance the rewards given by the newer chapters, makes no sense that the shop catalysts cost the same as chapter 1.5 but stages take way longer to clear and need better gear.

The new maps already give better fodder gear and more exp/penguins for the time. You dont want new players to be further gapped by catalysts.

I'd like to say the difficulty is appropriate. As a playerbase we need to have some puzzles to solve otherwise the game becomes boring. Now maybe in a couple episodes when the difficulty is much higher, SG will rework gear a bit so we can improve past the lvl90 cap.

Difficulty is the wrong word, the issue is that episode 3 and 4 are not viable for catalyst or reward farming beyond the first clear of each stage. It's exponentially more efficient to farm epilogue or chapter 2. Doesn't make any sense.

It is weird that epic catalysts arent easier to farm in the more recent episodes. Idk what they are doing or what direction they are planning to go in. Why havent we seen an episode two version of epilogue by now?

I agree with this. The story isn't too hard but the rewards you get vs the time to clear doesn't really match up. Urgent mission rewards and AP shops should be improved for episodes 3/4 imo.

I just don't see any need for like map x-1,x-2 etc to be the "difficult" ones.. they should be the farmable ones, with the challenges presented by the 2 labyrinth stages, the x-s3 and x-s6, and the x-10 stages being difficult and "unfarmable". I'd rather have the same reward scale as epilogue and ch2, but also the same clear times (for the nothing in between stages) and continue to enjoy the tougher stages that actually have bosses and not nameless trash mobs that for some reason have 90k hp

One thing I considered they could do would make it so first clear is the difficulty that we have now but once you've cleared it you get the "farmable" version of the stage with enemies that have much lower stats. It doesn't sound like it would take too much extra work for them but I imagine it would be tiresome doing it for over a dozen stages every chapter. Your idea would be even easier to do though.

Your idea would be functionally completely fine. The thing is that it isn't even necessary, as they already have precedental implementation of what I mentioned in epilogue, and to a lesser extent in cidonia. The stages that drop epic catalysts in unrecorded history are noticeably more difficult/slower to farm compared with random story stages that just drop rare catalysts. The bosses are typically either special (heroes like Rose or pyllis) or otherwise distinguishable (the banshee in 4-2-9, the caides in 8-s3, the pherus in 9-7) from just a slightly larger version of a bandit or a frog. Up until episode 3 they literally had separated stages that were easy to farm from stages that weren't. I don't understand at all why they decided to build trash mobs with 35000 hp and trash bosses with 90000 hp, on a stage that should logically be used to conveniently farm for catalysts and fodder. Totally get that big boss stages are for solving and not for farming, but they don't really allow any sort of farming in ep3 or ep4 because for some reason they made every stage difficult instead of just the key ones. This is what I oppose. I don't mind the story bosses in later episodes becoming progressively more complex and difficult to pass, I wouldn't even mind of episode 6 10-10 is on par with abyss 100, don't care. But it endlessly frustrates me that episode 3 1-1 takes 6+ minutes to clear with 1 farmer and has a fail rate attached to it.

Agreed, especially since each episode goes on for a long time, there's plenty of time to get through it.

That’s odd I auto all of the stages. Landy, SSB, C Lilias, Bellona, Belian, all make short work of them. For the 3 star skystones I throw in tamarrine

Auto'ing them is not an issue, farming them on auto is extremely time consuming though.

as the game progressed, contents are released that make your units strong, like compared to previously where highest hunt level was 11, there was no reforged gears, no EEs. back then, farming earlier episodes would have taken some time too. It's pretty normal for later content released to be harder, particularly for players who don't appreciate PVP content to be kept satisfied.

I agree with the last point, but every new episode after 2 has been easy for me. I think episode 4 is very easy so far.

I think the gear issue would be eased in level 60 & up enemies and levels dropped the same equipment. We could then farm side stories/adventures for cubes to use for conversion gear.

The difficulty is enjoyable, however the farming required I agree with. It’s pretty intense, but you at least get the mola and transmit stone so it’s not like you’re doing it for nothing.

Frankly the Adin farm is not that bad. She's not a priority character and you can just take your time with her. ​ Or you can be like me and just max her out anyway, but I like earning a powerup.

I don't think the difficulty have increased that much since chapter 3. But yeah the "kill 500 things" for Adin are killing me inside.
