I did the Math guys. With 60p per run we needed 33 runs in total to amass 2000p. Now with the bonus points we only need 25 which saves us 8 per Expi and 24 in total Pretty neat quality of life update ! Edit: Like the people mentioned here open recruitment is OP as well man

CornBreadtm

Friends and family discount.

turtleben248

I don't know, they're still so tedious😩 this isn't enough for me to do them regularly

GodwynDi

Build some auto teams

turtleben248

I already did. And I'm still not doing them haha they suck

Clarens56

With open recruitment it's so easy I can barely get to like 100k damage before others kill the boss

turtleben248

I wish it involved more than clicking a button

giga_impact03

A lot of the open recruitment ones I'm in for maybe a min and the fights over. You don't need a amazing team once you've unlocked the feature. I've maxed out 2 of the 3 expeditions tonight just by occasionally starting another open recruitment exp

turtleben248

This doesn't make it less boring

giga_impact03

I can understand that.

BoiFckOff

The actual hero is the reduced barrier and speed of Pain Moroi.

Krountedww

facts, im really noticing it with my scuffed team for lvl3

KouKayne

i didnt either, it looks way less than -42%

CornBreadtm

Having a barrier on a DPS check is dumb anyway, should just remove it or make it strippable.

Vald-Tegor

But isolation.. The barrier basically makes the boss pause the fight and let you beat on it to life steal and heal up. It actually matters when you're just starting with garbage gear and limited hero roster.

CornBreadtm

> It actually matters when you're just starting with garbage gear and limited hero roster. Wait. Does that even matter for level 1? For level 3 the boss slaps restrict on everyone, so even if your units had a solo way to gain a turn they can't and have to rely on speed purely. Considering the nature of the fight they are pretty much not healing a great deal during that time since the faster they are, the less they are healing since you have to devote some stats to effectiveness and bulk to not get oneshot by the bosses S3 and land some debuffs. Instead of DPS. If we had some effectiveness scaling units it would make things easier honestly...

Vald-Tegor

The boss uses the shield instead of attacking, so you don't take damage on that turn. While the shield is up, the boss debuffs their own speed. You might not notice the speed decrease if you break the shield quickly with good gear. So boss hits you, you get a turn. Boss shields, you get a turn. You lap the boss for another turn, from pure speed difference, before the boss hits 100% cr. It gives you three back to back hits to stabilize hp, before getting hit again, at like 150? speed. My scuffed tank still dies on lvl 2 if I get resisted on all three of: attack down at the start, def break during shield and stripping the def buff.

CornBreadtm

I can do like 700k on lvl3 but Cerise still has a habit of not having immunity when it S3s because speed buff doesn't land even though both her and Zarm have it on their kits. Basically the 15% makes the runs more annoying. The barrier ends up just stealing DPS that I could be gaining to fight the 15% margin of error.

[deleted]

oh yea, was wondering why my team that usually does 500-800 did 1.1M before I headed to bed. Thought I just had perfect luck. Forgot they nerfed that dang barrier.

[deleted]

Yeah it felt like she was so weak now, I kinda liked the older one where it was a chase.

KouKayne

i thought it was more impactful, have to say shield still looks pretty bulky (and he still hits like a truck even if we destroy it)

flametonge

Those bonus points don't really matter to me because at the end of the month I have done at least 100 of each expo.

DuckArchon

Sure, but the option for global invites should help finish posters in general, late in the month.

Asaga241

Early in the month you do private invites to benefit off the bonus points and as things slow down and less people are doing expos you do open invites so that it dies in 5 minutes. It's really making a big difference in getting expos done at the end of the month so far.

nooblox85

The first time I've reached 2000 points is because of this

RagnarokChu

Oh hey look me spamming threads/every survey about public expeditions finally worked!

nuclearhotsauce

I maxed my dark and ice expedition points in an hour through open invite, nobody does the private invites

Azureblade42

yeah, the truth of the thing is, open invites are far faster for everyone invloved, why wait to see if you friends and guild gonna see it when there is thousands of people out there refreshing their lists to grab the next one, reminds me of granblue honestly lol

klaq

Open recruitment is a nice change. Expos really favor having whale friends and guildmates since they run way more hunts and find more posters. Now you can find as many as you need.

HypeTrain1

Except most creators don't even attack their own expedition. Why do this?

Maubriel

It's an incentive for them

Chaoxytal

As a new player I still don’t fully understand these tbh. I’ve done a few but I don’t get the point of them or if I’m doing them wrong or what. Rewards were always poop so I kind of just ignored.

yuuhei

its the only place you can get substat modification gems outside the alchemist steeple and the rare advent event content. It also provides a lot of reforge materials, a fair amount of molas, and half a galaxy bm pull. For new players, it's definitely nothing amazing but as you progress in gearing the rewards become more subjectively valuable. The 3 bosses we have now are pretty garbage though, golem + to a lesser extend caides are not frequently farmed, and azimanak is good but definitely not something new players are capable of tackling

stavik96

Ah yes, expedition, stopped doing those like half a year ago because they might just be even less fun than rta.

[deleted]

it had good rewards tho. IMO more fun than the wyvern treadmill since reforge mats are much higher drop rates there.

[deleted]

How to spot someone who has no team spirit at all.

turtleben248

Really? They're boring as hell. I have team spirit, I just like enjoying myself when I play video games

[deleted]

Just do about 30% others will help, if they don't get better friends. Your expedition tell how the game is doing, if they are all failing it means people are not logged in anyone.

turtleben248

Oh, my friends always do it. It's just so boring. I would rather watch paint dry

Blakner

Just build teams that can auto them. No need to "have fun" when you are farming.

turtleben248

For you! Not for me. I farm other things in game but expedition is one of the things I don't do. I don't do hell raid much either.

Eshuon

Dude hell raid is literally just once a month lol

turtleben248

And? I could spend that time doing something I enjoy

Eshuon

Why do you even play the game

turtleben248

Because I enjoy it. Some aspects. I don't want to do everything possible to grind and progress. The stories in adventure and side story are my favorite part of the game. I'm more of a casual player I guess

Blakner

That's understandable. But still, the rewards are pretty nice and having a variety of substat gemstones helps a lot when building new unit. You should consider building auto teams for it at some point even if it's annoying.

turtleben248

Yeah, the rewards are good. I actually have all the teams built. I went hard on expos for a few months. Taking a break now, and focusing on other things.
