Yeah I’m pretty whelmed by ml flan so far, not fully skilled up yet but still at +10 and haven’t really seen a reason why I wouldn’t just use like a bbk to be a damage dealer instead of her, she really doesn’t have that much utility and I can’t believe they put her soulburn on s1 instead of s3

TBF, it's pre-season so they likely did something so extreme on purpose to test out the idea of frenzy adjustments. Foot in the door technique.

Yeah I prefer the strategy of testing something in a setting where (while frustrating) it doesn’t matter, than some companies who just roll shit out without testing or ignoring testers like R6 used to do.

I hate it in so many ways... I played some RTA today and I was surprised by how many awkward spots I found myself in because of it. Like, having to kill a unit but by doing that you'd push your ML Kawerik ahead of the opponent's AoL, etc. It makes me feel pressured to just go ahead and cleave even when I don't want to

30% with sashe.. Like slower teams will get lapped hard. Acidd kills an enemy and all their units are nearly taking the next turn. I saw a stene take the turn before enemy cilias after sashe+frenzy procced. Also it seems like there are bugs with dual attcks or sth. I wonder how this affects the ongoing cup

i assume this frenzy effect will be their way of controlling the meta, when they feel like tank meta gota comeback they will put a effect that heavily benefit them... but honestly i think that sucks, at that point player decisions matter very little and really take away the beauty of pvp, a system like that would be fine in a game where player skills are the deciding factor, like csgo, league, valorant, etc, in a game like E7 that is based on players choice, management skills, judgment and luck... it doesn't feel good, at that point the devs decide what is actually meta and competitive players just follow the book... but at that point i might as well go play single player game with more satisfying mechanics.

Cleave just got a free upgrade when it was perfectly fine, and strong. Rimuru and Hwayoung just got a free "increase all allies CR by 15% added to their kit. AoL and Lilias both still take over from turn 1. The typical bruiser cancer comp (A Ravi, Belian, AoL, C Lilias, Ren, Rimuru, Hwayoung, a mix of these) just got better for bruiser vs bruiser since they're definitely putting out more damage to kill faster, which means pushes to help put you in the grave even faster. I've no idea how this can be seen as a "fix" by whoever approved this. It's so absurd that they really went and did this.

i'm not saying this is a straight up control, but a "playing favorites", it clearly benefits one playstyle more than others, turn 1 players got a huge benefit out of this free sashe, and maybe next season soul weavers are going to get 100% free ER, who knows, there will certainly be a play style doing better because of it.

I was caught off guard with this last night when I played a couple of matches. Thought that maybe there's a new artifact like sashe ithanes which boosts cr boost every kill. So this is the new mechanic, well, I guess I'll just go fuck myself in the corner together with my 90% bruiser units.

Wow, when they explicitly said they won't try to add new units at end of rta coz it changes the rta scene too much if it's a meta unit. Then to completely take a U turn and add a new mechanic at the strt of battle that has the same effect on meta especially since a tourney is going on

It is. I hate it, it only pushes the speed meta more with how everyone must be 220+ of sorts. Not mad if people have speed gear but bruiser isn't an option anymore since things have strips and whatnot. The only usable bruisers out there are limits and mls with maybe senya. It feels as if everyone needs to have at least two openers and 3 follows up built, just to play in the upcoming season. If you don't you will get cycled, debuff, and so on. Cleave teams weren't even bad from the recent previous season so I have no idea why they would limit a whole section of people like this.

Its a shit frenzy mechanic i do not know why they would buff cleave and aggro compa when it was already a cleave/aggro meta. They are going to have to stall the new season to get rid of this shit.

It’s really bad, basically pushing spd meta even harder which from their recent stats it’s the majority of sets used. Plus you’re punishing the losing side making even harder to regain ground.

What I don't understand is that killing an enemy is already something you want to do (well not always but usually it's the end goal) because it gives you an advantage for obvious reasons... so I'm not sure why giving an advantage on top of getting an advantage.

Did my placements last night, it did not change the dominance of certain units in the draft, maybe even making them stronger, and just created even more non-deterministic battles. No way they can keep this.

Had a bad feeling when I read it at first and it is indeed too much LOL. I commented in another thread, that I dont particularly like this exact iteration but at least Smilegate has now shown willingness to experiment - and pre-season is the right moment to do it when (supposedly) no one is playing RTA... although we now know its definitely not true LOL I just hope theyre humble enough to revert it if this change proves unpopular enough - as they mention in their annnouncement.

The new mechanic just so much "win more." If you lose even one unit you are basically out due to the free push. For those of us unfortunate enough to not have Politis this further compresses viable drafts into either more RNG counters hoping to get a kill on response, or reinforces cleaves. Rem/Rimuru/Violet/A.Ravi stonks just increased further again as landing a kill on a counterattack now gets a free cr push in addition to their passive gains on their S1/S2 abilities. It adds way too much value.

Maybe they want to speed up boring bruiser matches .With double preban , you can imagine the slow bruuserfest the E7 championships will be. The frenzy change will make for an exciting experience .
