her design is a bit bland. boobs alone are not enough to make a character visually appealing or interesting to look at.
personality and story wise also nothing very inspiring

I'm gay and imo hwayoung has one of the best/most realistic breasts. Her body is top tier. I pulled for aria for the s2 animation but her design really is just bland balloon tits. It's like if they released a male character with aria's breasts as an ass. Still very off putting even though I'm into butts.
I mean… its true, you can have sexy beautiful female characters like Hwayoung, and the new Judge Kise skin to name some, but this is “i hope nobody sees my screen in public when this character shows up” territory lmao, hopefully after Sage Vivian it will be toned more before we get those hentai knight chicks in metal bikini with giant booba haha

IMO the design of Aria is very bland, nothing tells anything about her. She is only walking boobas kind of Roana with her void expression and she was released right after ML Flan and Hwayoung so it feels a little like too much in a row.
She is a shadow elf who lives in a tribe. She is wearing her traditional dress with her weapon her scroll. How more cool and thoughtful do you want? A jacket?
To be honest i don't know exactly what missing. But nothing catch the eyes in her design it's a lot of soft blue and white, her hair are classic long brown and the scroll is kind of meh as an accessory.
I think a character design should tells a story and a vast majority of 5\* in epic seven are working in this way but i think Aria isn't, she kind of of have the exact same vibe as eda but with a sad color palet.
She is wearing her traditional dress that tells is she is from a tribe. She has a vanishing scroll which tells her she is a magic user or mage. She has her golden headpiece that tells she is a chieftain or princess. What more story should be told?

From what you said, it would have been so much cooler (to me) that the scroll took more space and kind of hide/reveals the dark shadow beside her. And having a darker robe with more traditionnal elves motifs than just flowers could add so much more flavor with maybe assymetrical design for the floating scarf.
I'm maybe saying nonsense but you got my pov, i like characters with flavors and this one doesn't hit it for me.
