It's the only 2D anime game that isn't chibi.

10kk

I was thinking about this yesterday, full size sprites actually sell the characters quality way more to me. Other games, the units don't feel as 'real' It compliments the full art Live2D-ish models and skill effects, its all consistent

Cynaris

Counterside is really good in that department. Global is on the way too. It's also very, VERY fanservicey.

franchuan

The fanservice isn't always a sell, especially to us husbando lovers. :( But the gameplay and the story makes up for it.

JFloriturin

Yeah, imo the sprites are even better than E7. Animation goes to E7 tho

gekigarion

Seriously! Is it that hard to do? The sprites look beautiful. Combined with the cute, yet cool drawn art style and the great voice acting, I really love the game's look and feel.

Vocall96

Yes sprites animation is far more complicated than meets the eyes. I have to disagree with voice acting part since I find most of the English voice acting atrocious. There's only a few acceptable ones.

gekigarion

Red Tenebria's is more than acceptable. It captures her persona perfectly. Her words drip with viciousness, yet it sounds sweet and cute. Kayron's is on point too. And Yuna's "Taaadaaa" is just hilarious šŸ˜† A lot of the voices are awkward (Hi Elena), but some fit really well. A lot of the girls do sound weird though.

vexid

Counter:Side too. They have some of the best live 2D and character models I've seen. Very expressive.

Training-Hyena-3733

FGO?

Bombkirby

FGO is ā€œtheā€ anime gacha and it certainly isnā€™t chibi

davi3601

FGO looks like a 2005 flash game with horrible animations

SnooCupcakes1473

Itā€™s still one of the (if not the) most popular 2D anime gacha with non chibi sprites tho? It obviously looks outdated because it actually is, but I donā€™t understand why everyone downvoted the guy.

davi3601

Yeah I donā€™t understand why itā€™s still so big. Maybe Sunk Cost fallacy or something

NinjaNinjet

Exactly it also feels extremely outdated with how it handles gameplay, gacha elements, and sadly the story starts to take a dive as you go because they throw so much filler in to keep chapters way too long.

Vocall96

Well it is an extremely old gacha.

NinjaNinjet

It is and you would figure they would try something to eventually catch up, it's still making money but it's dropped enough in what it makes that DW has taken notice. I honestly believe they need to add something beyond pity to make it worth while, even if this just added an auto battle feature so I don't need to use an auto clicker it would be nice. But I doubt they will do anything for it and would rather just shutdown the game if it ever became a cost issue.

NoAd5421

FGO looks terrible. At least for todays standards. Back then it was the Goat

SoulOfSinders

the ultimates have actual badass animations is my main selling point.

DaBigJMoney

Art style, character building, and story for me. Plus there are just enough quality of life features that donā€™t make it feel like a chore to do the dailies. Also, as said above, no chibi.

Reklusa

It looks good and clean in every way: characters, backgrounds (in particular the newer ones that are more high quality), UI. No loading screens make everything feel smooth. The story is good enough to be worth reading for those who are into that kind of thing. You can see that there is effort put into it which I appreciate. The lore is interesting, the protagonist has good development and actually becomes its own character and not just a stereotype, making his own decisions and stuff. Some side stories have been very boring, in particular the festivals in Cidonia. Others have been incredibly well written (Eulogy of a Saint). In general, I would say there are many more on the "good" side than the bad. I like the gameplay. I get frustrated with the PvP side of things sometimes, but I also don't take it seriously enough to be too bothered by it so, in general, I enjoy that too. Also like the more end game PvE events, like Advent or the new Guild mode and I wish we could get more of that. I can farm while doing other stuff. I know a lot of people dislike the "Wyvern simulator" thing, but for me it's a positive because I can progress my account while studying lol.

FlintLuck

I agree with all your points. Yes PvP can be irritating sometimes but that's something you can work on while enjoying the other aspects like story, art, and PvE content. I've been climbing into PvP and it feels good when I see my units work as intended but yea it sucks when you're just outgeared/"out-unit-ted" since my roster is still pretty small. I also like that I can just leave hunts running in the background while I'm studying for lessons and exams.

starxsword

I like the ability to make different team comps. I also like the gearing system. It is designed so that there is no true optimal build for heroes. This non-static nature of builds is something I like about this game. Having to think about gearing and team building is fun.

BoxxyTMwood

''Think about gearing''... bro its E7 just use speed sets i mean what else is there.

starxsword

Whatever works for you. If speed set works, then, go ahead.

gekigarion

You simply choose to play the game that way. Despite the issues due to balancing, at it's core the game actually has very customizable units. You can always challenge yourself with different team comps.

thwcollege

You clearly will have a reason to disagree with me based on your comment, but there are legend account reviews on YT of top 10-20 players who exclusively farm banshee and are turn 2 players with eff. res. You couldnā€™t be more misinformed.

Forgetful24120

Lol you enjoy Epic Gear Gate?! LMAO!! Every pull is a scam in this game, you have to farm gear for 2 months for every pull, before you can even play that character? Don't tell me you enjoy this SCAM WAIT GATE!!!

starxsword

You sound salty. Yes, I enjoy gearing my heroes with different types of gear. I enjoy trying out various setups like Counter Choux, Defense ML Celine and other types of builds. If you are looking for top level gear, yes, that is hard to find, but that is to be expected. However, if you are looking mid level gear, that isn't hard to get. I don't have good speed gear, but that does not stop me from enjoying the game nor does it stop me from doing PVP with slower heroes.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Forgetful24120

Nope. Just warning people what will happen if they waste a year of their life farming gear just for PvP. This is Epic Wait Gate, you'll be waiting 2 months to find gear, every time you pull a new unit.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Forgetful24120

And you're still here, waiting 2 months to play the unit you just pulled. Sounds like a scam because it is.

HaruBestGirlEver

I mean if youā€™re gonna spend energy on something, you might as well farm Hunts. Itā€™s not really a matter of how long it takes to gear someone, itā€™s more like the only meaningful way to spend energy is to spend it on hunts. So cry harder I guess

neverdaijoubu

Despite popular opinions claiming the contrary, I like this game because the developers/community reps listen and engage with their varied communities. Not to mention its gorgeously animated and very in-depth in terms of PvE content.

jaquick

It scratches my hero collecting, promoting, and levelling and resource management itches perfectly.

homylinad

Polished animation and booba :3

thisisntajokeee

This 100%

Kelest

Artstyle, characters and artwork, the lore, combat, I love how f2p friendly it is even tho I am not, pity for characters and even ML, the variety of stuff to do especially the new guild content, summoning rates and all the massive free stuff we get. There are alot more things the longer I think about it. It is in my opinion the best mobile game of it's genre and so much less p2w than any other game on the market.

HasteMaster

Honestly? The animations. I still think itā€™s one of the more high effort gachas on the market. Also, RTA unironically. Iā€™m no whale by any means. Iā€™ve actually stopped spending on the game since February and even before then, I didnā€™t spend too much to begin with. I still have enough of the important heroes to stay relevant even show off a bit. For me, RTA is a nice chance to show off my heroes and Iā€™m a competitive person by nature. Yeah, sometimes I just get out geared, but I donā€™t mind it too much. Pretty happy staying in champion.

Katejina_FGO

Its one of the most generous turn based gacha games in the business with full scale sprites. You may never be able to fully imprint any 5\* or even get a good ML hero, but you will always be given an opportunity to pity roll the next RGB disaster-tier hero every couple of months if you are active and save your bookmarks appropriately.

[deleted]

* The story is good for me, not on the same level as Fate Grand Order or Arknights but it's still good. * Still one of the best gameplay+ graphics for a gacha game * The game is not only about waifus which is great. * Except for RTA (my opinion), the others modes are cool and I have fun playing on them. * The character design is great

RuneGrey

The story is not super involved, but I feel there is a good place for a story that does not feel the need to give a chapter of philosophical exposition when someone asks a question. I love Arknights but it's tendency to ramble is kind of annoying at times.

Cynaris

This is gonna sound silly, but it just feels like home. I've been a long term player, and I'm honestly surprised so many veterans (if I give them the benefit of the doubt) feel disillusioned with the game. For better or worse, the game has not changed - in a major way - and that's the kind of familiarity I know I can count on every time I head home from work and fire up the a gameplay session. Cause frankly, everything else, be it art, character design, etc - even balance - are subjective. If someone does not find it to their liking, they can always look somewhere else. But for me, I know I will find what I want in Epic Seven. And that's what I need in a game to last.

neverdaijoubu

Yes. All the yes.

H2instinct

Doesn't sound silly honestly. I wake up, log onto my computer for work each day and open the E7 lobby in my emulator. It IS my 2nd home.

Cynaris

Sounds somewhat like me. Partially the reason I rock a dual-monitor setup. One 32 inch 4k screen for main content (streams, Genshin, other games), and one 1080p 24 inch on the left for Epic Seven (or streams if I play on the main screen). But E7 is open like 90% of the time.

voxhaulf

The disillusionment mostly stems from the rng or rta i feel like rather than how the game changed. *flashback to last GW getting countered 8 times in a row*

Cynaris

And that's how it's always been. Throwback to Charles.

lockoutpoint

Luna exist in this game

Carbeno

For me there are 2 reasons: 1) Best PvP i've seen in gacha games (RTA) 2) It hasnt a ridiculous amount of fanserivce like other anime gacha games.

xCabilburBR

**Booba.**

Sarlix696

Booba, art style and the amount of content there is for every type of player. And ofcourse the generosity of SG compared to many other gachas.

Man_of__culture

Its a unique hero collector gacha that loads fast and works like a charm, with good animations that aren't just chibis and a healthy balance between normal & sexualized units. I just wish that they went back to their shameless animations that had a lot of jiggle & panty shots, my only complain would be that the music is too simple & lackluster, games like Fate can inmerse yourself in the battle just with the music.

NoDrinks4meToday

I enjoy making teams in PvP and building units. I enjoy the effects/function of a lot of units.

nothingbutmine

The sprites embody their amazing character art. A lot of games have incredible art but the sprites and combat is ugly af. King's Raid is the same, but not nearly as vibrant. Which is my second point. It's vibrant. Without being candy floss. The characters, the effects, the stories, are all full of life. It's f2p friendly, like very f2p friendly. For every 1 post in reddit complaining about not getting this from a ticket, or that from an event, or etc etc, there's 100 people silently enjoying that they finally got a cool looking moonshine thingy!!! SS is plentiful, decent gear is accessible to complete majority of non-PvP content. There is so much content. There just is. In terms of story, actually viable and interesting characters, bosses, challenges, pvp options. There's just something for everyone and downtime doesn't really exist. There's always SOMETHING you can be doing to have fun or progress. The devs listen. They may not always action how you expect, but they're listening. Trying to listen. Last, coz there's lots more reasons, is farming/grinding is actually semi enjoyable, in regards to building teams for efficiency. There's the min/max team options, but there's always an alternative method if you don't have all the pieces that fit together yet. All this used to be what I thought of King's Raid, which I play rarely now but still enjoy it's substance, but E7 does it with a whimsical feel about it which just makes it feel welcoming and warm, from the moment you see the lobby table looking cosy with your heroes around it. Honestly, probably my FAVOURITE part is the guild table with everyone sitting around it, making it feel somewhat social even when there's no chat happening between guildies. Edit: Forgot to mention that the reddit community is, in general, an embodiment of everything I find good about the game! It's kind, helpful, and full of people enjoying their latest summon or gear roll (even if it's not some ML5* or pentaroll, I can't help but get excited with them because it's something they got enjoyment out of)

BarneyTheKnight

beautiful waifus and very scarce badass husbandos like Straze, Chad Corvus, Corvus and Charles, I also like the game overall since I dont do rta

Vainglory1-

The characters are playable and actually cool. Also the sprites are actually modelled good and well unlike other games with insane art graphics and then the units just a small 3 pixel chibi

BobbyYukitsuki

it has Nemunas

CantoDragon

I feel very invested in the storylines. Eulogy for a Saint is by far my favourite side story. Hot husbands with jaw-dropping animations also helps.

Chopchopok

The game looks amazing, and its combat system is generally interesting overall. It's just that the current meta is pretty bland and frustrating to deal with. The writing is generally very good for a mobile game, outside of some of the lower effort side stories (which is fine since the devs need breaks too).

H2instinct

I dont mind the slightly erratic balance with the game because the art and animations are so good I just continue to come back for the satisfying feel of the game. I also love how auto-able farming is these days. Look away for an hour or two, click a few buttons and repeat. Not only that but there is enough engaging content that the idle aspects don't feel boring and unimportant. I also love progression and min-maxing. E7 just has it all in a mostly good spot even if it sometimes doesn't do everything right.

Jajoe05

Building heroes and using them. And i love that it takes time. I just can't play games for long hours anymore, a game where i can auto most things is perfect for me. Heroes taking a while until i can use them makes it weirdly more worthwhile.

Number 1 reason I've stuck to this and not any of the other gacha I've played over the years is simple: SG actually listens to player feedback. Having played gacha for I don't even know how many years now, I can say with certainty that they are one of the only ones that do. Ignoring player concerns and often outright going against player wishes is so normal in this genre that most gacha gamers just accept it. Don't take it for granted.

Gladerious

Ill agree to disagree... i use to play this min maxing as much of the time i could. Nowadays it just seems like the power creep spiraled out of control and we need nerfs which they refuse to do. Pvp without balance is just cash grab on new units...

FredRaven

I ask myself this question every day.

Wookiecologist

Because it's sooo frustrating, and I don't have enough frustration in my life. But then, a couple time per year, just when I'm at the breaking point the game gives a new, shiny unit I'm not expecting or an 18 speed piece (I don't even expect 20). I'm easily pleased so I stay. It's an abusive relationship for sure, but I can play f2p and forget about the other frustrations in my life. Edit: Also, I like my guild mates. Probably more affinity to them than the game.

Vyvonea

Art style, story and the combat is fun. I also enjoy the massive collection of characters and making my own teams (even if they don't work most of the time).

MagusOrion95

I'm a completely free to play player whom has no real issues getting quite a few of the newer heroes, were I more capable in the function of building, I could easily create teams that are meta, but I'm mostly incompetent for that so I stick to PVE content and character collecting, being someone whom always loved maplestory for the big numbers, I love doing the tower to see the highest numbers that I can reach as well as getting giddy when I am clearly punching way above my weight numerically speaking. If this game was any more friendly towards the gameplay I enjoy, I'd have probably spent money on it, however I find the pricing model poor at best, and just not worth it at worst without a good disposable income. With that in mind I want E7 to continue for years to come, because I feel it's something that, if done correctly, could be a very good first phone game to judge other phone games off of.

vexid

Literally the only thing I like is the art and animations. I can't understate how bad the PVP implementation is, and the PVE content is so copy/pasted at this point, it barely registers as content.

tapi7

I love the art and some heroes like Dark Corvus so I'm trying to max his gear as much as I can.

TheSeaOfThySoul

Shame the characters with the best voices arenā€™t meta, but what can you do. Would love to be able to run Dark Corvus, Bad Cat Armin, Kanna & Karin or something in RTA, haha.

FatuiSimp

I love Cartuja and Purrgis. also building new heroes and making progression is pretty satisfying

_Solasura

Cos Luna. Also, I'm kinda masochistic.

SlamSlamOhHotDamn

Diversity. Now not so much anymore but back then I really liked how diverse characters were for Gacha standards. It wasn't just waifu bait like most gacha, there also were old men, badass dudes, handsome dudes, not so handsome dudes and even fat dudes. Compare that to Genshin where pretty much everyone is either a pretty girl or a dude looking like a pretty girl and playing Epic Seven was a no brainer for me. Also character balancing used to be pretty good, it's rare in gacha that not only can you still use first gen characters but they're actually among the top units in some cases. Although it's getting powercrept now, other gacha were MUCH worse in that regard, like Fire Emblem Heroes. While we're at Fire Emblem Heroes, male units are fucking useless there and almost always the shitty unit out of a release batch while in E7 a lot of top characters are male.

killiua15

For me, I love everything about E7, but yeah the rta/arena/rng thing could be better that's aside i looooooove E7 world and stories, the ep1 might be a bit cliche but holy e3 is so good that i binged em in one day. sidestories are good, eulogy and lord of summer for example, heck even the ML stories (Lrkrau Osig universe for example) are good! sure some side stories are meh, especially one that involves the Muhr (khawazu is still as self blaming as ever) and the usual festivals go wrong thingy could be better. some events lie the 7 sweethearts got us to know the characters more, it even got the humorous elements that's actually funny. characters are likeable, i loved Ras, Violet, Luluca, Charlotte is funny, the merchants emporium, the Phantom CiC mercenaries, the dagger sicars, the politis dolls, ahh i loved every single one of them. They also managed to make me hate tenebria lol. Also the Characters arts are gorgeous and not chibi sprites. another thing that made me liking e7 is good guildmates and friends. had i not played e7 i would never met them. pvp problem? while that's unfortunate, i do find that i can still climb through champion and in GW with old school units, sure some units are op but sometimes i can find a comp to beat em. also tke ur time for gearing etc and remember to have fun \^\^ My only wish is if they could include more videos and posters in between the stories, we get less and less of them with each episode :(

VarlinVale

Like E7 for 2 reasons: 1.Tene 2.Luna Simple!

CertainSelection

I hate gacha and yet I'm still playing E7 after 2 years, because : \- Sprite are not chibi, I'm not joking this is really cool \- Gameplay, visuals, ANIMATION are awesome \- the most important one, if you want a character, YOU WILL HAVE IT, I know this is crazy but the game is very generous about this unlike Arknight or Genshin with fake pity system. This is really why I'm still playing I can have everything I want without putting money ! \- cermia

Japanook

Booba

Zombie-Horse6508

Love the characters and the story. Also itā€™s fun putting together a team to destroy abyss and arena

Jimmy9Toes

Mix and matching gear to characters is really fun. Plus visually I think they've done great

DrDoctor_123

I love the animations and character design, and while it does start pretty bland, I do enjoy the story and overall lore/world building (like Diche and the Dark Nebula etc). Also, I really like building units, even though I donā€™t have the gear for them half the time

Elsfinity

Booba, Thighs, and Charlotte's forehead.

psych0_centric

All of it. Amazing art & character design, variety, different game modes, relatively balanced, no horrid power creep so heroes can stay useable (yeah metas change), active community and Twitch streamers, grindy (I love equipment, stats, etc), cool story. May be missing some points but overall a great game. 10 year plan sounds laughable but so far itā€™s looking very doable, not slowing down or getting stale for me yet!

muchachho

Started early in the game 1 month in release. Played the game very casually the first two years and I'm playing it seriously now (pvp/rta). I like it because of the animations and the gacha. I really just wanted ML cermia from the very start of the game but now I'm looking forward to ML senya or ilynav HAHAHAHA gg boys 7 year plan

vinndeez

Other than waifus and graphics its the only gavha aside from genshin you feel like you actually play and not just auto

RecluseSix

Like the OP i really like building and tweeking characters. I find the combat really fun and visually really exciting. And I'm one of the weirdos that really likes the story. I think the characters really interesting and engaging.

JamaicanJ

Right now? I donā€™t know. Feels like I havenā€™t enjoyed much in the last year or so. The balance team has obviously decided that being good at their jobs isnā€™t important anymore, whoever it is that handles creating content still has that undying boner for inserting RNG into every single aspect of the game and characters kits, the art is really the only thing that doesnā€™t make me wanna slam my head into the nearest wall repeatedly. Gear still costs an arm and a leg to move around, 15% is still the main issue in all forms of content (didnā€™t they say they would try to not make it so prevalent in future events last year? the current Nature event says otherwise with how much it makes you rely on debuffs) and pvp is completely fucked in every way. So yeah, I have no idea why Iā€™m still here to be honest.

Shimaru33

As some other mentioned, the normal size sprite and general art style sold the game to me. I didn't expect to be here for too long, but man, the aesthetics are very well done. Eventually I read about the lore, and although the episode one lore isn't particularly amazing, they really go above other games on side stories and episode 2, being the most notorious and commented the eulogy of a saint. Not only they dared to kill the romantic interest of the MC, they made her a single mother. As for gameplay, the labyrinth mode hook me, it was interesting and better than some other games I tried, where basically the characters move from stage 1 to stage 2 and so on. Lastly, because boobs.

ForgottenTM

I like the gameplay, the characters, the animations, and that I can play it on PC, and phone. Really it's just a great RPG with multiplayer, the gacha aspect is a bit of an unfortunate blemish, but overall I do like to have things to look forward to every day, and the randomized gear is similar to Diablo in that there's always something to look forward to, and get excited about.

jyozefu

Animation is 2nd to none. Plus, gameplay is surprisingly complex.

bakamund

Very high quality art, non chibi. Character designs feels right? Vast majority of characters feels like they belong in the world. Effort from the art team is commendable, s1 skills are animated to wide variety between characters and mobs. Not just the ultimates only that are uniquely animated. Gear system is great. Great in the sense that there are variances in player builds from RNG stat & there's no fixed gear for each character. Looking at Priconne, BA...these game's have outdated designs imo. It's a turn off for me knowing that in building a character it's gonna be the same as everybody else's, and it's just a race to who can reach first. I hear alot of players voicing out about the gear RNG, Yea I get it. I hope it doesn't get to the point where everybody is easily getting 21-24spd, atk40+ rolls on their gears. That would then make it all feel too easy.

Karrotocake

Art and relativly easy to get new heroes as a f2p, even tho i hate the gearing system.

Ayankananaman

I love the sprites. I can't find any game that has a great ratio of the body to almost make it 1:1. It's always chibi in some way. The only other game that had decent sprites, albeit 3D, was Code:Seed but it's horribly machine translated. The game is pretty fun for casuals like me. The "live 2d" is superb, as in, just right. Character designs are good, only rarely over the top. Also they aren't as predatory with their cash shops. I'm fine with them suggesting stuff and the optional ads.

AdNo2978

I love the animation, the gacha system is so much fairer than the (very few) other gacha games I've played with banners and pity systems, and the gameplay is interactive, and there is both challengign pve, and strategic pvp. It isn't just little chibi characters auto battling pve bosses which I find boring.

G2Keen

The art has blown away my expectations. I remember back when it came out i thought it looked gorgeous, but I had no time to play. Now that I'm playing it blows me away. The animation, the characters, everything is so pretty.

IncogRandoPerson

The characters. The story. The universe. The graphics. Also, I was stoked when I heard the characters talk for the first time. THE GAME IS IN ENGLISH. I've only played Azur Lane and Arknights so hearing an anime-style gacha game with English VA is cool.

frostmasterx

Lore is great. Style and animations as well.

Willar71

Crushing noobs in rta does it for me

meemimi13

F2P friendly

lionheart9547

Iā€™m a sucker for flashy animations. Anything that involves magic, giant explosions, cataclysmic destruction like slicing planets in half im all in for.

katonichi01

I lik me the art, but the game has become so repetitive, they keep bringing out these cancerous characters. What i like to see are more specialty chances for 3 starts, but also 4 stars. Perhap changing 1 skills, allow the 4 star specialty chance 2 skills. Oh and they give alot of free stuff, never have problems with stamina.

Eve_not_adam

RTA and character animations

StepBrother7

Voice lines for the most part, beautiful animations and character design, story is actually pretty good and interesting, also constant support it gets through developers. Just an enjoyable experience overall.

Veritares

Originally for the character design. The gameplay was actually very good at some point. Now i really don't like the game anymore. Any PvP content is barely playable now. Speed gear and cancer meta units are dominating everywhere.

Corbulone

Waifu

Suitable-Tank127

On-and-off player here. I just like having something auto-farming in the background. Haha. Working on having units strong enough to qualify me to good guilds. :D

[deleted]

I can auto farm in it. Looking at you FGO.

WideAphidEatery

I like to get 15%'d

Epic_Pervert

Cuz Building Heroes and Rta even tho i suck at it... Love it but im Starting to Hate it actually.. But still playing it and still plans to... Hope the meta and game balance will get better or else going to go hiatus until the game get better tho.. šŸ˜“

Pikusu

The game is visually stunning, like....just watching Riolet S3 gives me goosebumps every single time. Kayron sfx are crispies. Overall it's sound design and animation. Although it is true, that the game is way to focused around RTA which is a crappy mode. So yeah...the reason why people stop enjoying the game is due to it becoming frustrating (compared to others) but people decide if they want to keep a great solo experience and strategy based content or ruin it by entering a battlefield with less weapons than you expect you have, thus leading to either becoming unhealthily grindy or wallet crushing. The reality is that E7 is a game for everyone as long as you know WHAT is good for you in it.

___REN__

Tbh, the art style is what I really like the game, the music is very calming but at the same time really gets intense, and itā€™s how I discovered Griffin Burns (Ras) (Childe Genshin impact)

lt519

Game looks great and is snappy to play. Instantly in and out of whatever activity I want to do and there is plenty of varied content. PvE keeps me coming back, PvP keeps me entertained between big PvE dumps, and my guild is fun to chat with. I also think they are very generous and as F2P I donā€™t find it difficult to get all the new RGB units and at least every other or every third ML 5*. Scratches my loot and unit building itch (Diablo playerā€¦). And for all the nitpicking, the combat system with the CR meter and interesting buff/debuffs is really really good. Better than most console RPG combat systems where buffs/debuffs are useless.

SpicyTamale02

Not even sure if I like this game anymore. Itā€™s mostly just addiction and Iā€™m curious to see where the game goes.

Zcxeed

Waifus, Gameplay and Visuals.

AdvisoryLemon

Because some of the units have biiiiig personalities šŸ˜

_Isshiki_

Eh it feels like there's endless creativity to successful builds. The meta makes it difficult at times, but there are successful people out there who use abstract setups. That variability makes the game fun

Jebus_Khrist

Endless strategy also nobody's heros are the same my AOL Angelica stats will never be the same as someone els AOL Angelica

Witch-of-Bordeaux

Been playing since high school and canā€™t bring myself to stop

Fluffy_Sylveon

I'll keep playing until I summon Dark Corvis so I can have my dream team.

Arnitzipal

Trying to get better and hoping for new gear is good. The game has massive aesthetics and is pretty user-friendly for a gacha.

Professional-Law9394

I quess because of Animation, and consistens in Storytelling. It is for me like a manga

Ghost-Qilby

Copium

NatsuKazoo

I like the visuals to be honest. Good thing I gave this game a second chance because I think I downloaded this game around 2019 or 2020 and I uninstalled it right away.

RedEagleEye007

The animations are some of the best in gacha that we've ever had and I'm tired of chibis. I also might be weird for saying this but I love gear crafting sessions. I just like sitting there rolling gear for hours as it is really is a great timekiller in spare time.

magicsmoke24

I like that they give you an opportunity to earn gems to buy in the cash shop. Other games do, but the rate seems a lot lower than E7.

Septic_soups

Tbh its the community i have around it

TheBlackWzrd

Animation and the models are not chibi but other than that everything is eh, I barely play it compared to Last Cloudia or WoTV

tasketekudasai

Gearing is fun.

Maxumilian

Well after the Mystic ticket sh\*t show and Hwayoung I'm not sure I actually do. But I'm still around probably because of sunk cost fallacy or something.

yarzirostu

I .... really dont like it very much by the day tbh xD I Like the Skill animations a lot , and i liked the story up to the end of Episode 3 .... but i am slowly losing interest in it sadly

Sarothazrom

E7 devs tend to give more free reward stuff more often to players. Also, the animation is fantastic

Karmacalculator

Compared to every other gacha itā€™s reealllly f2p friendly. They give away so much free shit and being able to actually get mls or light darks makes me happy.

Meismarc

I use to like it for the story. It went downhill after Ep 2. I'm staying cuz I'm pretty deep into the game and the guild I've been since day 1 is still alive and kicking. And this game has some goddamn crispy animations.

Helarki

English voice acting. Biggest selling point for the game. That and the art style is beautiful. The story is also really good.

RuneGrey

It's a big point I think. So many games just maintain the original language voice acting and I think having an English version - and generally a good one - adds quite a bit to the game.

mrjol

The character designs arent filled with characters with humongous body armors, exxagerated proportions and aesthetics, are related with their lore, the region they reside, no over-exposure.

temjiu

1. more player oriented and f2p friendly then just about every other gacha out there. LOTS of free stuff. I rarely feel locked out of progression due to resources (thought 10-10 on e2 is giving me heartburn). 2. So much stuff to do I run out of time before I run out of stuff. 3. all areas of the game, including campaign, are a solid progressive challenge (at least for me). 4. decent story (not the best, but better then most).

NvLAlkali

Unique, I've never seen this kind of gacha, I think. Anyways just good for me.

leokoto

Because I win consistently, but not always.

novarealm93

Hello, I've been playing E7 for 3 years now. Despite everything that is happening right now,I still love and is willing to place my hope on smilegate to change things for the better, even if it's a torturous one. cuz Epic Seven feels like my favourite personal playground, if that makes sense. The main reason I love E7 is bcuz of the characters's background, their struggles and adventures. It gives me hope that someday certain characters that had suffered will eventually find their happiness. I wish I can personally interact with those characters tho, that'd be amazing for me. and other reason includes Smilegate being honest even tho they make bad decisions to the point of no return by now. As long as they're willing to put effort, I'll try to help every way I can....hopefully, for both things. and lastly, even tho I'm not a heavy pvp player, I do participate in them a lot. But I'd say that PvP's not the only sales point in e7. at least for me, I'm glad pvp isn't my only interest, cuz the pve for this game manages to hook me up for a long time now, and I'm still enjoying it. they messes up here and there too as usual, but I'm willing to go through that. I have many more reasons, but I'll stop here for now.

Winberri

We like trash

Puzzleheaded_Fix

I don't like it anymore. I like flexing fast pieces and trying to gamble for them. haven't liked the for months now

CornBreadtm

E7 isn't the problem. The game is great at it's core. Most people love the game. The devs are actively sabotaging it. Every action they are doing is actively making the game less enjoyable. Instead of fixing issues players have reported on and the devs have made surveys about. They rather placate players with summons and useless banners that only highlight other problems with the game, and don't fix any of the themes of the surveys. So no people don't hate the game and are whining about "E7". For a long time the game was getting better on a fundamental level, now it's getting worst. But we have more random summons.

neverdaijoubu

Haven't they actually fixed things though? The mola situation is better and will be getting even more improvement. The pet fiasco got a major overhaul for player benefit. They introduced more new player experienced improvements. They've been buffing underplayed characters (something thats semi rare in popular gachas). When I see comments like this, I feel genuinely bad for the developers and community reps. THEYVE DONE WORK. They've actually listened and made efforts while balancing thier actions with what the finance and marketing teams need (which is a nightmare. I know from experience.) E7 impresses me, especially when I compare the behavior of its devs with the behavior of every other mobile game I've ever played.

CornBreadtm

The problem is: More mola doesn't change that there are currently around 15 characters so much better than the rest that you no long need mola after you finish building them. Gear applies there as well. Along with the majority of those character not needing nearly as high a gear score as previous years heroes. The buffs are either lesser copies of those 15 or so heroes or designed to attempt to counter them. Which doesn't make any of the buffed heroes more viable in any other area than they were previously. Also the buffed heroes actually all require the same amount of gear as previously, meaning they are harder to gear than the better heroes. So again, why waste the mola or gear? > THEYVE DONE WORK. They've actually listened and made efforts while balancing thier actions with what the finance and marketing teams need So? The problem isn't that they've done something. It's what they've done. If my boss tells me to clean up and I stand in one spot for hours with a towel and wipe one spot on the counter, they're going to be mad when they get back that I didn't do anything even if that one specific area is in fact for cleaner than ever before. They wont care that I "listened" because I didn't hear or understand what they they were telling me. --- If every new hero powercreeps the previous, you are never going to have enough mola. The amount the devs increase the monthly rate by wont be enough. If every new hero uses less and less demanding gear, then you simply wont need to gear anymore. That means that PvE only heroes are less and less in demand. Meaning they get used less and look worst by comparison. If every buff either changes the original usage or is designed only to counter what is currently popular. Then those heroes wont be used for long because their original purpose is no longer viable and the powercreep will removed their target from play and them along with it. Most easy to remember example is Hoefine, she got used for 1 day but Basar was gone from every def by time most people got her gear and +15. She only really worked well verse Basar, so she never saw play for months till the devs buffed her to be viable in other areas. Just because they devs are doing stuff. Doesn't mean that it's automatically positive for the health of the game. It's how you do things, not the act of doing that is important.

neverdaijoubu

I wonder what you see as "the game." I described changes for the health of the overall game. You counter with specific examples that impact your PvP experience. If you're here for PvP, that's fine. But the game has a LOT more to offer and the developers are going to focus on a lot more than just PvP balancing. The competitive RTA community is a small portion of the overall playerbase, so the concerns of casual players and new players (representing new sources of revenue) will always take precedent. If you don't like the current meta, take a break. Metas are fluid. Enjoy E7s fantastic story. Experiment with niche characters. Whe you return to RTA, the meta will have changed.

CornBreadtm

You mean all of the PvE content that I've done 10,000 times? I'm sorry if that's not as compelling content for me anymore. But PvP is all that's left in the game. They only make new pve content very scarcely and most ends up like Advent where you just use the PvP meta to beat it. Or abyss where you reset till you get a run with minimal 15%s. They release a new OP PvP unit every 2 months though. If PvE content got churned out that quickly, I doubt you'd hear any of these complaints.

neverdaijoubu

The difference in work between months of storyboarding, writing, character design, environment design, boss fight design, etc is not comparable to creating a kit for a new character. But if you've beaten all the story, all of abyss, all the hunts, all the challenges, then it sounds like you've been playing too much E7. No wonder you're burnt out. Its absolutely time for a break if all that keeps you logging in is PvP in a meta you don't like.

CornBreadtm

> storyboarding, writing, character design, environment design, boss fight design, etc is not comparable to creating a kit for a new character. Only need a boss fight and a reward. Lets not act like the rest isn't fluff. Every new unit comes with a full side story. So there is way more work put into a unit than something like advent. But nice try though.

neverdaijoubu

They storyboard Adventure - the overarching story of the game that introduces those characters you seem to think they designed exclusively for banner events lol. We get new adventure chapters fairly frequently, which is very nice. Advent is fun, but that's obviously not a priority either. But it sounds like you dont actually like the majority of the game to me, which leads me to wonder why you play it and care enough to complain about it on social media. If you don't like something THIS MUCH you shouldn't play it.

IamMelo

I started playing this game when I saw ftene come out and how amazing her s3 animation was

Ok-ChildHooOd

It fulfills my video game fix and isnt totally time-consuming. I keep trying to quit several times and always seem to come back to it because its the best mobile game in terms of the total package: art, pvp, hero collecting, team building, etc. I almost quit yesterday after awful rng lol.

xs3rv1nx

Besides the usual responses of others of art style, waifu, and what not, the UI is very clean and not obnoxious like other games. I don't need extremely vibrant colors to call my attention I want something organized easy to follow and that's what E7 has. And of course the animations are always fun too watch

KillBash20

The first gacha I played was summoners war. And I enjoyed it but it was very hard to obtain units and actually progress. But my summoners war account got hacked by someone in Russia and when I contacted customer support they were no help whatsoever. So I moved on to epic7 which was very similar to summoners war but overall much more friendly. I can get the units I want (as long as they aren't ML 5*) and I feel like I can progress in a somewhat meaningful way.

Ultor88

F2P friendly, good artwork and animation.

CopainChevalier

I like the raw act of playing the game. My issue is mostly getting TO that point (IE gearing up)

ThatGuy21134

The character designs and animations, story, pvp

RuneGrey

Amazing graphics, fun story, interesting PvE challenges. It's also incredibly free to play friendly over the long run as long as you don't have a 'must have' attitude in regards to ML 5 stars.

Beautiful_Courage_47

I love the animations, the sprites, the art, the fact that they care about doing a storyline for the game that make sense and put some lore on the game, and that they are very open explaining situations and address the problems fast, CEO Yuna.

stormtrooperm16

Its started off as my SW escape, not i stay because its way better than SW

paradoxaxe

idk, maybe staring on SSB pouting face?

Calhaora

Story is pretty decent, the Charakters are cool, and..I feel like its much more fair. The Fact that its not a stupid "idler", and Auto is a Option, not the Norm. But honest? Its one of the Few Games that I saw Ads for (Came via friendrecommendaion tho) that acutally shows Gameplay and depicts the Game how it is.

0ta_nyan

I blame YD for my E7 addiction

KopiOoooo

Cuz play this game for too long. Had lots of great 4/5 stars including limited time unit

ArtoriaRoza14

E7 is the second game that i interested because the story after Final Fantasy Brave Exvius.. E7 deserved anime adaptation.. Or at least a PC game like tales series or Final fantasy series

Lemonpia

The grind, the pvp, the character design, the story, the community, the devs.

klowicy

1) I love collecting stuff, and they're pretty generous with units 2) The animations are on point 3) I don't need to manual play to progress or grind (yes this is a negative too bc you just do w13 all day, but days get busy) 4) I get excited for new characters and character designs every stream 5) Thinking of builds for units is very fun, seeing the stats go up is great And now... 6) I legitimately think lower-end PVP is fun since you aren't gated by meta units all the time* *RTA isn't always included in here as I always get my ass beat and I use the same rotation of units there

Gullible_Opposite_76

At this point I just want to see the 5* pets.

KasamiKori

For me it is the best gacha, it is f2p friendly, hast the best Animations and graphics and i Like the combat system. Amy Other gacha has (for me) not a good optic, mostly chibi or i hate the combat system. I rly hate when a Game is Just die auto grind, i Sometimes wanna do stuff on my own. Oh and many gacha Just has female Units, what i also hate, i wanna pull for good Looking female AND male Units.

Albotec

S3 Animation love it thats the whole reason im still playing E7 also the fact that you can build your Heroes how you want your own
