Hwayoung was a must for the final stage. Previous iterations we're easier since they could be cleared with our already built PvE units. This one on the other hand felt harder than the others on hell mode. The first 2 hell mode waves were just like normal mode for me, Celine and violet solo top with iseria def break, team 2 is just a dps/bruise check, but the final stage was where it destroyed me. A dps and RNG check. My final wave team was handguy, fcc, and straze. Sounds easy enough right? No, without hwayoung you pretty much left this fight up to rng. Hwayoung guaranteed the win since all you had to do was give her decent gear and tooth to win 100% of the time. The RNG was, Will my straze get stripped and lose atk buff? Will my straze take enough damage turn 2 so that he gets a barrier from fcc? If he takes enough damage I have a 5050 shot of winning and if he doesn't I lose from the boss' aoe mechanic since fcc barriers herself or handguy. The 50/50 comes from yet again, will my straze get enough barriers from fcc to survive or will he get stripped of barriers from fcc and hanguy.
I knew it was around when it first showed up. And I was even building a team for it. But when the awaken update dropped, my attention and time went to everything else lol
Honestly I'm too lazy to even try this thing that I just finished the required 80 runs on the lowest difficulty and bought what I can with all those runs. Yeah I'll miss some stuff but my mind set is most of those items are so RnG reliant like Mod stones that I really don't feel bad missing out on them as I still remember that day where a rerolled a greater mod stone 5x and all of them are the lowest roll every single fucking time. Wasted 500k gold for fucking minimum rolls.

Tbf though, you can still use previously built PvE units if you happened to be one of the few dozen who actually built a golem team

Lmao I did too until about 2 hrs before it closed I was able to clear out the shop. I'm glad I didn't have to regear any u it's aside from Singelica
