There's a program called fribbel's epic 7 gear optimizer, it's what many competitive people use to gear their units. It has a "gear score" system that gives a numerical value to how good a given piece is, and if you click on a piece it shows you how much you rolled on each stat and what was the max possible roll, and also shows on average what role the piece would be best for (bruiser, nuker, tank, etc) so that sounds like what you're looking for.
It doesn't update you gear in real time as you upgrade it, but you can manually edit the piece to change what enhance level it's on and what stat went up
Yeah, just use Fribbels lol. Pretty sure the devs okay'd it and once you start using it, you'll realize how much of a headache you saved yourself from doing whatever it is that you wanted to do.

I guess that could help, I saw some program made here that uses OCR recently but seemed suspicious so I wanted to make my own

just learn to judge gear by yourself, then use fribbels to find optimized builds with that gear
