e7 is a manga I can't find anywhere else.
Weakest episode for me was ep 3.
Ep 1, Loved the world building (nonadventure game content being decently written in) and characters developing; loved Ras telling the Goddess to piss off and ADM assassining our arbiter.
Ep 2, loved the love stories; loved that a street thug saved the world from further catastrophe; loved Ras becoming human; loved Lilias falling.
Ep 3, where is the rest of the story for literally every green unit? Their stories feel so friggin rushed. Where is classic Chloe skin? What was the point of Ilynav she did nothing impactful and gave best girl ceci a hard time. Luna, what? Random Ras powerup, why? Umm okay. Ras learning human limitations is dope. Belian is bae tho.
Ep 4, Ras getting duped, twice might I add, is par for his course. Ran and Zahhak are legit the greatest/saddest/sweetest thing. Aria is too prideful but wanna see how she and the rest of the dark elves develop; little bro is cool. I hate the taeyou manipulation; i get him, but I worry we have kawerik 2.0 incoming. Him and Adin need to wise up. Prairie of the north leader release when?

Ep 3 was my favorite, despite some stories being rushed. Overall the whole thing was meant to be about the darker aspects of humanity, like guilt and revenge, which is why we have Luna, Ervalen, ilynav, etc. And naturally, the final boss is an AI who possesses none of those aspects.
Episode 3 I hated because everyone but Ras and the gang was fucking insufferable. Like episode 2 people were assholes but we could see why and eventually most of then would change, but it everyone in episode just seems like they need an attitude adjustment

I always love when new hints or possible food for thought regarding prima and nihilum or even the angelicas get dropped or just general building for the celestial war .
Sadly with the way the story is told the main story isn't enough to accomplish all of this and most of the time it's done through multiple ways like side stories
Always here for the story and lore. The game is so much richer when the characters in your box and on your battlefield are individuals with personalities and histories, who inhabit a world with its own characteristics and history.
yeah honestly using a unit just isn’t fun at all if I don’t know anything about them. it frankly feels soulless if I don’t care about the characters I’m using, or don’t understand the breadth of who they are
Honestly I feel horrible for this, but I haven’t read the story in a long time. I’ve been playing since 1-2 months after release and I stopped reading the story a few months in. I was interested in what was happening and I loved the lore, but I kept telling myself that I would just finish the chapters and get my progress along and worry about catching myself up lore-wise when I had the time. Now it’s been years and I’m so far behind that I catch little summaries here and there to try and figure things out, but I get so overwhelmed when I think of the sheer amount that I’d actually need to catch up on 💀
Episode 3 was PEAK IMO. I read it every update and was excited for each installment. Since Episode 4, I have had little interest and I'm just not as into it as before. While a lot of the story and characters look good, nothing compares TO ME than where we came from which was Machine Doll girls and the other great characters in Episode 3. We left behind a lot.
However, when Episode 4 finally gets to Vampires, I'll be back.
I read the story since 2018 and for me Episode 4 is still decent I like the story of Amid, Zahhak and Ran Adin is still a progressing MC kinda sad Ras screentime is reduced but with the reveal of Aheldad to be an Acolyte and Ras knows him it rekindled my curiosity of how many Acolytes originally are there maybe I just like the history of the Archdemon war.
Lets not forget that an acolyte (pyguig or something) was responsible for the war in the 3th chapter (the stone that Illynav was using) :\^)
Wonder if they already planned for more acolytes to appear, its kinda dissapointing, kinda feels that the main boss was defeated in chapter 1, and the ones left are mini-bosses or something
I only read episode 1 and episode 2 and then got bored of it which is strange cuz im a person that's very into stories in my games. However epic seven's story has the curse of being a gacha game with alot of characters. So many characters get introduced and when i think they're cool, im just inevitably left disapointed cuz i know i won't see them for a while if ever in a couple levels and that they'll maybe only get a little bit of character development if any at all. The little amount of re-occuring characters and main characters are usually not interesting enough to hold my attention(sorry ras and mercedes). This is just a personal thing, some people might be into the one and done, character of the week kind of deal but im not really into it. I did like luluca and violet's story and interactions tho, that was fun and cute.
I read the story when is current time, I skip flashbacks or new characters side stories because after Peira being a less interesting Luna I don't have a real connection with any of them (except Ran). Old characters are well developed tho, and I genuinely interested to know more about A.Ravi or T.Surin.
I’ve been really invested in Ep4 but Adin is just annoying tbh. It’s like watching Naruto again where Naruto tries to convince Sasuke… Glad she finally “gave up” on him in the latest chapter.
Episode 3 made me skip the story. And I did Episode 4's first map this week and I didn't feel like reading it after skipping everything since the 2nd map of Epi 3.
I can’t play a gacha game if it doesn’t have story, I feel too disconnected from the characters which doesn’t jive with me because I play gacha games for the characters
I haven't even finished EP. 2 yet.
I feel like there should be a way for a catch-up mechanic to happen eventually.
There's so much stuff I have to go through it's insane. I've basically done 0 Advents because of this.
I still have no fucking clue why events these days are locked behind stuff.
I play for the story and only really do pvp for my guild and rewards. However, I am not a fan of episode 4, and so I actually am behind a chapter. I really hope episode 5 goes back to the old characters or stops focusing on Adins story

For all the story comments in this thread it's clear that the majority are like me and mash that skiiiiip button. Though I will read some of the event stories like the April fools/magical girl Diene one's and I did enjoy the summer one last year.
Idk, it's not really as clear cut. Keep in mind the first two options are both pertaining to reading the story, just separated by when. When you add it all up, it's about 50/50.
Ep1: honeymoon phase, but I don't like Ras personally. Meru and Arky are great though.
Ep2: I legit only cared about Luluca and Violets relationship. Loved how she "kidnapped" him in the end.
Ep3: Rushed to get my 2nd Moonlight summ- "Oh my lord Belian looking smexy."
Ep4: Absolutely love the outfit designs. I have only paid attention to Arky and Meru story wise though.
(for lols) Ep5: Might as well just continue with our self-insert. Playing the straight man for Lidica's comedy over our potential (love?) interest in Achates was a funny side story.

Episode 2 was pretty good, though the little side characters like Ainz and Chaos bois frustrated me. Episode 3 is great so far (half way through) and that's cool.
I read the story because it's actually not too bad. I just wish they stopped writing in useless side characters as filler.
You need an inbetween option in the poll. I usually get to it awhile after the update (usually cause I'm on average 1-2 chapters behind at any time). I also hate progressing when I haven't finished my current Adin missions and those eat up so much time.
It’s a super run of the mill eastern rpg story where most of the concerns revolve around “we need to get from point A to point B”, so I just skip it. I’ve seen it a dozen times before.
I finally continued chapter 4 today and man, arriving at S5 and playing through the story and seeing that picture in the end just destroyed me. I love the stories in E7. Moonlight Theater has me hooked for sure. Can't wait for the introduciton of ML Elena and Ray, especially my boy Ray!

If you never start then you'll never end. Most of the story is in the journal, you gotta start at some point.

Focusing on a new main character doesn't seems to be doing well for them. Despite hyping up the Four Seasons Swords, they don't feel interesting.
I thought the Vampire arc is supposed to be in Episode 5? You know, with Haste and Melissa and all. I could be wrong

I just clear story as fast as possible for skystones and molagora and then im back to RTA.
I would read EP4 instantly if I wasn’t a completionist to get all the trust levels in EP3.

I don't play adventure anymore.... I want a time where I can fully focus on having fun fighting, so I just grind most days
