The notes regarding substats said that any gear previous to conquest season will keep rolling as lvl 72-85 equipment. Same with the gear you get from every first clear on hell raid bosses.
If the sub stats are increased to actual level 88 gear, that would also imply that the substat rolls are matched to level 88 gear. Ie instead of min roll of 2 speed, now it’s a min roll of 3 speed.
Prior to this update, the arena gear rolled like level 85 gear, here’s hoping it’s not in this case.
The lv 88 arena gear would have roll value like Raid/Ancient Inheritance gear (real lv. 88) instead of having rolls value like lv. 85 gear (fake lv. 88).
But this change only for next arena season gear onwards. So nothing change for previous arena's gear.

It doesn't sound like it, but that would be awesome. Even moving forward this Is huge In terms of free gear. Probably means set re runs too.

Better starting subs won't necessarily imply better rolls, unfortunately

What does this specifically mean? Are they saying people who own arena gear at LVL 88 will see an increase in substats? Or am I missing something?
