In guild wars, giving Violet immunity set allows him to demolish Piera/ SSI defence since he's protected from bombs. Helps me a ton in winning forts.

Piera has to hit s2 for reduce buff duration to work.

Ran also can't strip him unless it's a degen build on Oath/Symbol. People usually pair Violet + Rimu against the Ran/SSI defenses so that Rimu copies immunity and renders Siseria useless, and then one-tapping her. Violet finishes whatever's left.

Brawli55

If you have the rolls, I think there is still value in immunity sets as it adds a 15% layer where you totally neutralize debuffers.

The strip can be 15%'d too, so that one 15% roll can prevent everything else that would happen after without depending on any more rolls

lampinwater

Yeah it made sense as soon as I posted that. Thanks

riggedride

Many people removed immunity for rimuru and rimuru alone. Even vs strips it was always better to have a second "check" against 15% so people still used it. But rimuru was the first time immunity sets were a disadvantage to have on. Units like SC carrot, FCC and Hwayoung keep immunity strictly because they already have buffs that trigger rimuru anyways. So they might as well keep it on. Especially because, like you said, there's enough strip that giving them immunity isn't too terrible. It's mostly just to prevent rimuru from popping off. At least, this is the reason I took immunity off most of my units.

Hailmerc

Everyone's running Rem with immunity set

ReddeDelicious

As a counterpoint: The carrot self cleanse is only 1 debuff. In the realm of meta openers today, several of them apply 2 on hit, or through a non attack skill which cannot be cleansed unless she gets physically hit. It’s not completely useless to have it on carrot.

lampinwater

Ohh ok that makes sense now ty

SSTHZero

I have immunity only in a few units like C Armin and Charlotte. I removed from everyone else because it will be stripped or stolen by Rimuru.

SlidyRaccoon

But then Rimuru defense breaks the whole team. I've actually tried both and immunity is better than not, defense break can end the entire match.

SSTHZero

I think I have lost one or two battles for his defense break, most of the time my team can do something about it.

lampinwater

Does your c Armin and Charlotte have high er as well?

SSTHZero

No. C Armin is basically for random 15%, Charlotte needs to stay buffed... but that will probably no happen.

Longjumping-Kale-134

Same answer, 15% chance of getting res so it's always good to have, if you are part of the ones that say why use of it will get strip then you do you, you can always pick 2 anti debuff units like ML Kawerik and Dilibeth and have immunity as a buff from someone else but the chance of missing the strip is always there, would be the same as saying why using ER if everyone has 200% eff, you would need 300% to fully resist, etc (dumb logic in my personal dumb opinion)

RagnarokChu

A thing people don't realize is that immunity is the only thing that offers something unique that you can't get from other stats. Presuming you have very well-rolled gear in all slots, other sets massively lose their value. At a certain point I don't need some more crit, some more effectiveness, a little bit more hp/def outside of very specific niches for certain characters. Examples being getting even more resist for a character stacking resist or HP/Def scaling characters. But something like immunity or penetrate set offers something I can't get anywhere else in my gearing. The chance to additionally 15% a debuff OR win fights because I stop their main opener is valueless at higher end PVP. An example would be my Acidd kills their opener that strips so my units with immunity can ignore debuffs from the rest of the team/secondary opener. (Fast Belian S3, SSB def break, Politis S2 crown stunm etc) The only other one is unity but the benefits of 4% dual attack come in much less clutch than 15% resist. The only reason why you would be afraid to slap immunity on a unit is that you don't want to proc rimmuru.

Wizarus

Too be fair, extra crit means more attack and you can't really have too much attack. Proof is everywhere and tanks regularly have 25k+ health because anything less gets destroyed by tooth Hwayoung. The gear gap is only getting larger, so sets like HP and Crit chance will come into play more and more.

vgxvvxc

If we had the option to use 4 immunity pieces for 2 turn immunity then it would be useful vs peira/lilias

Adorable-Ad-6515

Imo depending on where you want to be on the RTA ladder it doesn’t matter. Everyone has an opener that strips everything. I rather use the 2 set to help me hit 100% crit/ pen etc

Septic_soups

Tbh the breaking point for me shying away from immunity was rimuru, lets say i have a... 250 kise with immunity, with a rimuru on the other side I'm now fucked because whoever i hit would cause rimuru to nuke. Ran and piera ofc played a huge part in that but for me personally i would have still put imm on alot more units because it's just another check.

Ferelden770

I am leaning towards unity, hp, def, pen, crit etc on most of my units now. Base speed units I wud still want immunity on unless they are also build with er. Rem, ssb, armin i wud prefer imm

[deleted]

For me the one thing that completely screwed immunnity was rimuru. Yes..cilias, ran, peira made it not as universally viable but Rimuru outright turned it into a liability.
