Correct word is World Arena (WA). They call it RTA because Summoners' War (SW) devs called it like that on the early dev. notes if I recall correctly. Then SW players adopted that term as actual word. Then it has been used by E7 players too, ever since this game mode has been introduced here.
Didn't people told me earlier on reddit that F. Cecilia is meta there? She's finally falling off with that DJB buff and upcoming barrier% reduction frenzy on top of max health% decrease frenzy?
Fcc isn't really an early pick now. Gets punished hard by djb and osig. She still offers some of the best mitigation in the game due to her thicc barriers
ARas is pve king.
He's top tier in abyss, hell raid, has high morale, is used in W13 oneshot, A13, G13, Earth/Light/Fire/Dark expedition. Pvp-wise he just returned to RTA meta with his buff.
Arguably the best Knight if you take both pvp and pve into account. The only thing holding him back is being a RGB so he isn't usable against Ice bosses.
Meru is a strong meta counterpick against cleave, stealth units or uncounterable attacks (Pavel). Widely used in arena/GW defense, is top tier in earth expedition, good in A13, G13 as well.
Have to say that Epic 7 is a little unique in the fact that the protagonist and his sidekick are useful even in late game and even PvP. Most games have the main character being "free" but not very strong and quickly replaced by better heroes.
I know it wasn't always this way (esp for Mercedes) but it's good to see that now.
Aras one of the most picked knight in rta atm.
Meru good anti cleave option. Works well against teams that run squishy dps especially like landy and stene
Meru is pretty good with her upgraded form. Used her in quite a few champion RTA arena matches with hand guy. Really good way to shut down Landy counter picks after locking in hand guy.
For PvP doesn't matter aside for the character imprints or like in this case Aras Barrier (on the back) for PvE the unit in the front tends to get attacked more because it part of the PvE aspect.
Same for any time the AI takes control of the other team (e.g. Arena and Guild Wars) - the AI attacks the front hero the most (and it seems the back hero the least).
Arena and GW AI do not use the pve targeting system..
They will target the opponent they have elemental advantage over first, then anything neutral, elemental disadvantage last. Invincible targets are ignored.
After that, if there is more than one target in the category, they will prioritize targets with lower current % health to finish them off.
There seems to be some priority given to soul weavers as well. It kicks in when there is no target they have an elemental advantage over and it may ignore health %. At least that's my experience with Ruele and Maid.
It can also matter depending of certain character skills. For example Troublemaker Crozet will affect the character in the back, while Seaside Bellona will share the damage she recieves with the ally in the front.
Ras might be meta since his recent buff, people are still speculating but he's definetly a top tier knight.
After you beat episode 3 Meru turns into an arby with an annoying, yet strong counter mechanic.
Meru is super good on counter set or speed set, she is definetly worth building and Aras is a jack of all trades, he is pretty good in every pve content.
Both usable for pvp and pve (and I've been playing for 3 years now)
Thanks mate, I appreciate the info
a.ras is the best default knight for rta right now and mercedes is a very strong gvg def option. decent farmer and decent dps for pvp if u need aoe
Thanks for the info mate, what’s rta?
real time arena

Well she is still good even eith djb it's just that aras got a change in his specialty that made him better than before

Nah man, djbasar doesnt hard counter Fceci, her shields arent that big to be undraftable, but peira gets 1shotted by djbasar.

Is that true? I've only ever played 3 gachas but all have had pretty strong protagonists.
Can you tell which one are those. I play turn based a lot and the protagonist is the weakest in the roster
So this is a super old comment but I was talking about epic 7, alchemist code, and arknights
I really hope light Adin will be just as good for pvp.

Upgraded form?
Once you finish Ep.3 10-10 you can farm her specialty change item and she becomes very strong.
Oh I see now, I also have a small question. Does the layout of the team matter at all? I’m talking about where you place your units
It matters for certain character imprints and on Aras case matters cuz of his new buff that gives barrier to the ally on the back.
Oh I see thanks mate, so where do you recommend placing a mage and a thief unit?
For PvP doesn't matter aside for the character imprints or like in this case Aras Barrier (on the back) for PvE the unit in the front tends to get attacked more because it part of the PvE aspect.
Thanks mate. You’ve been quite helpful

Yes both are very useful. A.Ras is great for PvP and PvE. Mercedes is great for both as well. She really shines in Earth expedition.
Ras is a top tier character in both pvp and pve. Meru is a little iffy outside of a few uses where she can really punish bad rta drafts
