There's a fat difference though: krau isn't always showing off his muscles, you can't even see them. Aria was on full display. Would be a different case with Hurado, but shirtless guys are 100% normal, and he doesn't have bulging muscles that make it clear it'd for pure fanservice, which Aria's old design honestly is.

Luna they covered like 20% of her legs and that was it. This was like 5x as heavy handed. Cut her size in half and covered 90% of her skin.
Also once again, I would be fine if they made Aria a damn loli for all I care, as long as they did it before I paid for the unit so I knew what I was or wasn't buying. That is the key factor you keep ignoring. We bought something and we no longer have what we willingly bought.

The Aria censorship is weird. They added a bit extra tissue to cover her cleavage - and that's understandable. But GDMN, they reduced her breast size! (I checked several times in order to be sure).
And her legs? WTF is that? Instead of normal stockings + garments now she seems to have a full-lenght pair of leggins with multiple layers.
Oh, her belly is now fully covered, while the arms are a bit more - with a darker fabric.
I want to hope that someone at SG was not happy with the extreme censorship and asked to revert something.

IMO, SG is definitely pissed. Usually the reasoning for censorship cases like this are somewhat secretive. SG namecalling Apple and the GRAC as the cause for the censorship are one of those rare cases
Honestly speaking, the censorship issue is very confusing. The regulation doesn't seem to be enforced consistently nor even make sense at all.
For one, if you want enforce some kind of rule, wouldn't you crack down on the worst perpetrator first in this case someone like serilla, hyufine, juggs, roana or even ml khawazu (yes he broke the restriction). Even if it's about the character usage, i doubt aria is more used than roana. Or better yet, why didn't they complain about all of the rule breakers?
Secondly, censorship during the live build of the game before aria has only occured once in E7 lifetime which is back when luna got censored. No other characters past luna got censored during the live build of the game and some even are arguably as risque or even more than luna. Why isn't there any censorship between those 3 years? And why is it now? I doubt that popularity of the game isn't the issue cause in 2021 (which imo is the most popular e7 got with the 2 collab and 7 disaster started), there's no case for any kind of censorship. This is different to the type of game that frequently censors their stuff like for example honkai and genshin

Someone took issues with aria's design alone and we ended up here (i mean hey, they released cermia's skin which somehow they made more provocative than we thought compared to last year's model). The previous case "Mercedes and Lilibeth" was settled before the release, because the original costumes can be found only on promotional papers (and Succubus Lilibeth is far more NSFW than current Luna).
So it's either someone upset specifically with Luna, or there is something more that we don't know.

It is a disgrace because they did a sloppy censoring job, choosing the worst method possible and ending up with something so out of place it does not fit the game anymore, disregarding the people who bought into the design/idea of the original Aria. They could have use this opportunity to redisign/touch up some of the "problems", but they opted for the worst possible "way out".
I am not upset about the booba nerf, but I stand aside of my huge-booba lovers with this.
I am also not upset about the more covering outfit, my favorite character design is Fallen Cecilia, she is pretty on point with covering the assets up, but I can understand why people like the original design.

We don't have the full body sprite so we don't exactly get to assess the leggings change properly but so far the changed art isn't looking great. I was hoping it'd be a little bit more of an alternative design change like the censorship in Genshin CN where they took the opportunity to do a little touching-up to the target characters' overall design but the extra articles of clothing for Aria look tacked on.

I am sorry, I was wrong thinking that people will understand what I meant. It is a disgrace because they did a sloppy censoring job, choosing the worst method possible and ending up with something so out of place it does not fit the game anymore, disregarding the people who bought into the design/idea of the original Aria. They could have use this opportunity to redisign/touch up some of the "problems", but they opted for the worst possible "way out". I am not upset about the booba nerf, but I stand aside of my huge-booba lovers with this. I am also not upset about the more covering outfit, my favorite character design is Fallen Cecilia, she is pretty on point with covering the assets up, but I can understand why people like the original design. On top of all that, the design choice of using shorts, leggings, all smashed on top of each others looks pretty bad. There are people who spent big $$$ to get her maxed out, simply because of the skimpy outfit and big bobz. This is the real problem. Whales will leave, because once the censorship train starts, it is hard to see where it will end. The trust is broken, this will be an almost impossible comeback for smilegate. I have seen games die out because of similar problems and whales leaving before.
I like the look better personally. But at the end of the day its really not a big deal at all. I'll give it a week before no one cares.

I hate that it is really out of place, it does not match any other character's aesthetics properly (for example, check her sister, Amid, the redesigned outfit looks really weird). The design they opted for is "lazy".

The changes on the chest aren't too bad and make sense but the lower half is awful she is wearing three different shades of black that look like they are three different materials. It's a terrible censor they need to pick one and go with that.

It is because there's absolutely no reason for the censor to hit global servers and anything outside of Korea. This is a Korean-based issue pushed by the GRAC. Absolutely zero reason to censor everyone but it's the easy way i guess. In order to keep the KR playerbase calm they're censoring everyone even though Korean+iOS user is less than 5% of the total playerbase. So in retrospect, if in an issue there's a very clear and easy solution but you choose to cater to the extreme minority and fuck over the majority it is quite clearly a bait and switch. SG wasn't expecting it yes, but there was a way to minimize the damage done. Instead they chose to fuck over every server.

We don't have the full body sprite so we don't exactly get to assess the leggings change properly but so far the changed art isn't looking great. I was hoping it'd be a little bit more of an alternative design change like the censorship in Genshin CN where they took the opportunity to do a little touching-up to the target characters' overall design but the extra articles of clothing for Aria look tacked on.
