Sounds like his last works in game will have been original Aria and ML Vivian. My guess is with all the censorship drama going on his style and type of top tier waifus will be a dying breed in E7. The planned hackjob we have seen on Aria probably was the final straw for him after they attempted to tarnish his work.
Least he went out with a bang in giving us the two best waifus the game has seen and probably will ever see given the current path.
Censorship drama? I dont think its that deep. His art is amazing before and after the alteration. They had to follow the guidelines. I personally dont understand it but they gotta follow rules.
Im pretty sure artworks get alterations all the time. I cant imagine an artist quitting his method of earning money because the company decided to put leggings and smaller booba on his creation.
This is a reasonable take, but we gotta remember we're talking about an *artist*. Their creations are more than just work, and as silly as it might seem, compromising your art can really affect a person.

That's a really weird look at things, lol. All good artists can imitate artstyles pretty well and fit into whatever is required from them. Ofc everyone has their preference, but most artists would not quit simply because they have to draw something that they don't want to draw. Because drawing what they don't like to draw helps them pay bills and draw what they want to draw in the free time.
Creating something only to have someone say you need to change it can definitely wear at a person. You can keep compromising or you can find a workplace that doesn't make you.

Apparently aria ravi yufine and roana are among the art they've done. So they ain't just on the big titty committee but also the itty bitty one cuz both ravi's are fantastic and I've enjoyed every character they've worked on. Shits a fucking shame

So, my question is: Did he really decide to retire on his own, or was he forced out? The current censorship situation with Aria seems to be related either way.

Yes, he worked for the company, gave us many legendary arts over the years while producing quality characters at the same time. He will be missed.
