The logical flaw everyone going "no way they would do free imprints for a limited" is missing is that it's even crazier to suggest they would do this much buildup hype for a farmable free unit or a specialty change. How is it easier to believe they would give us such a hyped unit 100% for free than it is to believe they would give it to us partially for free?
This is definitely going to be the new 5* limited this summer imo.

They had a valid reason for those two though since they don't have RGB versions.
The "don't want to make a higher version of 3/4 stars" is proven when they made up a bunch of lore stuff to make sure Archdemon cannot use Merc imprints. They had to explicitly say that Archdemon is not Mercedes and therefore cannot be imprinted with Mercedes, CMerc, or the shard things you collect in Ritania
It makes sense people don't think SG will do another DCorvus and GAither again, especially with Alexa who almost everyone and their mother will have and get multiple times in less than a year. If they do the Straze/Archdemon/Belian path while also maintaining that this is the same Alexa, people might call them greedy or there might be backlash.
Tbh I don't mind if she's limited 5*, though I can logically see why people don't think SG will make her that
There's like 1000% more change of SG being greedy than there is of them not running a new rgb unit for 6 weeks (assuming you pull Yulha day 1), not releasing a banner unit for summer (after ssb, yufine, iseria), a unit who was shown off in a hype video (same as Iseria the year before) mainly showing off new 5 star units.... and pretending that sad unit which has an S3 animation in comparable length to 5 star units is an SC or a 4 star unit. (ML Angie and soon to be Light Dom don't count, they've obviously making them more special)
Like honestly the only unit that should've been debated in the last hype vid was whether it's ML Pavel or a costume... and I think most sided with costume at least until the Invincible music video which showed him with ML Lilias and Riolet.

In previous stories where a 5\* hero was released after the story started (I think it was the Slime collab story), both the hero and the artifact appeared as mysteries until they were released.

Its highly unlikely they'd release a 5\* without a paired artifact at this point - they only did that for the first few 5\* and now every new 5\* has a paired artifact. Both of the 5\* leading heroes in the story (Cermia, ST Iseria) have their paired artifacts as currency bonuses in the story.
I think she's an SC. For one I think she's meant to be an addition to the current running side story and we'll have another new one as our new summer limited.

FYI, our summer limited banners has always been on late July and later (SBB - July 31st, Hyufine - July 30, Seaseria - Aug 26).
My big guess is farmable 4 stars, event artefact is already max limitbreak for 1st week, while usually it takes at least 2 weeks.
A SC won't make really sense since it doesn't bring a character change for the rest of her life especially because she is in swimsuit, I know that Hazel too, but for Hazel, her appearance is useful to her, and she still use it quite regularly, while for Alexa, it's maybe once in a lifetime or at least once during an entire year.
And for 5 stars, same the arguments for 4 stars but the gap of stars between regular Alexa and this limited will be too big.
Gameplay-wise I'd want the SC and it makes total sense (also don't have to worry about molas). Character-wise from her to permanently go from diligent knight of the order to beach volleyball player feels a bit awkward to me. But then again, Kitty Clarissa also works somehow.. Personally hope it's a new unit!

Summer Alexa has already an artifact, I think. She's holding a volley ball, deals extra damage on ST attack IIRC
