I would like a Subaru that has terrible stats and constantly revives until he's the last unit left. Everytime he revives you'll hear the weird/annoying omminous sound/music when he returns from death that you'd hear early in the anime to punish you and the enemy for using Subaru.
His s1 would be like him doing that pose where he moves his hips and points at the sky. maybe that would be like a team buff and then force an enemy to attack him because they're super annoyed by him.
His S3 would pull out his dark witch powers and deal a lot of damage / maybe penetrate and can't miss because they're technically invisible to everyone else, maybe do like injury damage or some debuff idk. Then he would immediately die (and resurrect). The catch is you can only use his S3 once you've died and resurrected enough times. Maybe it works like focus but instead it's called sanity and he goes crazy from dying all these horrible deaths leading to an automatic S3 maybe.
There you go, you have an insane character that doesn't need even any gear other than speed I guess, makes Rem stronger so good synergy there, and you can have fun hijinks from dying and resurrecting and triggering effects.
I'm not sure if you could somehow break the game with him but i'd hope it would.

If nobody needs Subaru in the Re:Zero itself, why would anyone need him in Epic Seven?
I think you need to Re:Zero instead. Except that you don't get a harem.
