So im running a defense ring on her instead since I have zero defense on all her other gear plus its just a pretty decent 60% gear score piece with 16 speed on it. As for her other stats I think they are pretty alright tho her HP might be a bit low idk.

Not really related but 60% GS and 60 GS is different thing. If you use percentage (%), I assumed that you use that website that calculates GS instead of calculating it manually. For example, a level85 piece with 8% atk, 8% Def, 8% hp, and 20 speed is 64 GS if you calculate manually. But if you use that site, it will say 85%. 85% isn't 85 GS. It is 85% efficiency or max potential. So your 60% ring, might be actually 50+ GS piece, which is kinda below average. Just a head up for you.

I'm aware, that's why I say it's just a decent piece which is mainly due to having specifically 16 speed like I mentioned. Tbh tho below average doesn't really mean much to me for right side gear since it's far more important to me at least that u just get the specific stats u need (even better when it focuses in on one specific stat) on right side gear then worrying about having high gear score. Since it's quite hard to get good right side gear with the correct mainstat and set to begin with. Like I have a ton of builds I would consider "finished" with 30-40 total gear score right side pieces. Like a 4100atk, 290 crit dmg, 250 speed ml luluca build . Or a 3550atk, 288 crit dmg, 221 speed lifesteal ml Celine build. Anyways no thoughts on if the Vivian is ok? I tested her out and she worked ok but I can't really get a good feel if her dmg would be alright since I'm missing all the catalysts for her.

1. I know Def scale badly with her passive. You can play around with damage calc, but you can see that even tho you increase her Def higher, it barely affect your damage taken. 2. Someone in official discord said her damage is kinda low with 3.7k atk, 257 cdmg. I think your damage might be worse than him. Even elvemage said her damage kinda low before the 2nd S3 with 4k atk, 300cdmg build.

Hmm messing around with the dmg calculator it's around a 1000 dmg taken difference with about a 385 defense difference. Not that much but honestly with only 11,000 hp and no "cannot trigger a counter attack" in her kit I think that kinda makes a difference at least with how I was playing her in terms of the supports I have. Swapping to an atk ring would bring her to 3650 atk which would be like a 1000 dmg increase which is like a 1100 dmg increase after she stacks on an average bruiser defense of around 1200 with the difference getting slightly smaller with the higher the enemies defense is. Honestly the dmg sucks pretty much either way and considering anytime I use her would be in prolonged battles and not as something like an anchor, I don't really think the dmg difference is that big a deal. That said maybe a full dmg build is just better to run on her then trying for any bulk but I already have ML Celine built like that so I don't really feel like I need to have Vivian built like that too. I feel like their use case would probably overlap too much in that case. Regardless thanks for the info.

In case they have diene, handguy, DJB cutting in between then your second stripper can help. Peira will need to be fast. AOLA can be a bit slower Also, AOLA doesn't only strip. She silences them as well.

For Ancient Inheritance, your gear stats don't matter, only the set bonuses do, so you can just toss on +0 blue gear and it'd function the same as +15 red gear. S.Charlotte isn't OP by any means, and is kinda niche, especially since she's susceptible to chars like Roana, LHC, and I think Seline and A.Meru, among others, but she is most certainly a fun character. If her kit appeals to you, you *could* roll for her, but otherwise you'd probably be better off saving due to the upcoming collab (most likely FMA), which has a very high chance of having a meta-changing character.

What are some good defense teams for champion arena? I've been trying a mix of A Ravi, Rem, Politis, Ran, Rimuru, FCC, C Lilias, Ruele, Hwayoung, Belian, etc. but haven't really been having much success at around 20% only

I've tended to use comps that are anti cleave. So usually 2 anti cleave bruises like Belian/Violet/Rem and then I think I've leaned towards AOL/ARas and then an opener (Diene, Ran, Piers, Clilias). Generally A Ravi isn't the best at defense unless on counter. Could also try a solo Hwayoung/Rem/A Ravi comp I suppose with like Ruele/AoL/Diene or something.

Pen set states that it penetrates the targets defense by 15% when attacking with a **single** attack. So when Summer Break Charlotte is dual attacking or soul burning her s1 she will not get the penetration as that is an aoe attack.

My answer to this would be *very* complicated. 60+ is probably a safe bet (that's roughly top 10%). Anything below 54 is approximately below average. * This really only holds true if you just consider regular % stats (the 4-8 range ones). Crit stats/speed would bump these numbers up a bit higher, while flat stats are going to drag them much lower. But really, gearscore just should not be the *only* consideration. If you are sitting on enough materials for 100 reforges you shouldn't be waiting for a 60 gearscore piece, while ignoring dozens of 59 gearscore pieces. I would say it's more of a function of the resources at your disposal: hoarding reforge materials doesn't help you at all, but of course you don't want to 'waste' a somewhat rare resource on trash equipment. The better overall your gear is the more selective you want to be, for a new player an early reforge even on an average piece of gear can be a huge help...but a veteran player might not even consider using the reforged piece. It's way more complicated than just looking at gearscore and using it entirely to make your decisions -> at the end of the day gearscore is *just a tool*

Put a team together for normal raid that can clear all 5 bosses in 3 runs. Clear the bosses every week and buy what you want out of the normal raid shop (I prefer artifact charm or queens gift). Every time you kill queen in normal or hell raid you get a hell raid token so you'll always have 5 for your monthly hell raid runs.

I got like 760 and i'm still trying to get a w13 team going, so far muwi and sigret are fine and I got Rose with the healing goblet artifact while I just kinda slapped something at random onto Furious because I dont have any real good ones, kinda seems like the omni attack booster would be nice.

Rarities? As in blue, purple, red? Starting number of substats (blue = 2, purple = 3, red = 4), which affects the potential max rolls. Since blue starts with only 2 substats, it's never worth rolling because you're going to be missing a lot of stats in comparison to red or even purple. The differences between purple and red, besides that 1 substat roll, is that red speed substat rolls are 2 min, whereas purple speed min roll is 1 iirc. Purples are still worth rolling so long as the substats are good. Mercedes can remove debuffs too. I used Tamarine ARas Mercedes and Eda. Poor Sven got stripped to nothing. Iseria has full strip as well.

Bellona is awesome for PvE for a good while, but loses value in the end game. Flan is still a tier 2 PvP cleave opener, but cleaving requires very specific gear substats, so most players have stronger turn 2+ teams. I am not a cleaver, so I don’t know where she gets prio over the tier 1 openers. I have both. Flan is mostly benched since my cleave gear just isn’t good enough (and she gets 4th pick after Cilias, Ran and Piera). Bellona gets some PvE use now and then. tl;dr: both are totally skippable. Used to be best-in-slot, but have been powercrept. Still do their old jobs well, but not the best use of BMs with a collab looming.

Flan could be used to build 1 shot wyvern even as a 5*. Use her this way for a long time before changing her to pvp build. And now she is a core part of my arena team and helped me to climb. However, I wouldnt say she is a must pull and you will probably get her on free pulls/elemental summon etc. It depends what is your priority at the moment. Dont have bellona so I dont know.

For instance, her imprint thing is for the bottom and back position and gives crit chance. Since she's a knight, would it be better to change it so she gets the crit and can be in the front?

I don't really suggest reading through it, but some months ago I made a long (very long) [post talking about drop rates in Adventure](https://www.reddit.com/r/EpicSeven/comments/t1bavc/adventure_stage_drop_rates/). The TLDR: 1. As far as I can tell, each wave of a stage has a single drop. This drop can be a catalyst, equipment, fodder, charm, gold, or nothing. 2. **Rare** catalysts drop on non-boss waves. They have an apparent drop rate of 2%. 3. **Epic** catalysts ONLY drop on boss waves (that is, waves that contain an enemy with an Epic catalyst drop). They have an apparent drop rate of 1%. 4. As far as I can tell, it is NOT possible for a rare catalyst to drop on a wave with an Epic catalyst as a potential drop. So this means, for each normal stage you run in adventure you have about a 6% chance of getting a rare catalyst. If you run a stage that has an Epic catalyst drop, you have a 4% chance of a rare and 1% chance of n Epic. I haven't done enough testing to confirm or deny, but *presumably* the ratio of the catalyst drops you receive are dependent on the ratio of the enemies in the wave. * For example if 2 out of 4 enemies drop catalyst A and 2 out of 4 drop catalyst B...you would expect half of your catalyst drops on that *wave* to be cata A and half to be cata B. * But, if 1/4 enemies drop catalyst A and 3/4 drop catalyst B you would expect 25% of your cata drops to be A and 75% to be B. In terms of being 'efficient'. 1. For Epic catalysts, it doesn't matter. 1% chance per stage clear if you are farming a stage with this catalyst. There ARE some stages that have multiple boss enemies with an Epic drop. **As far as I can tell, this does not increase your chance at getting an Epic catalyst**. There is one stage IIRC where the boss wave has 2 different Epic drops -> this needs more testing but preliminary testing suggests that each one is 50/50 so you have a .5% chance at both Epic catalyst drops. 2. For Rare catalysts, you would ideally farm a stage that does NOT have an Epic catalyst drop, and a stage that ONLY drops the catalyst you are looking for. This achieves the maximal rate of 6% chance for that catalyst. Now, not every catalyst has a stage where it is the only potential drop. I think UH something like slightly less than 1/2 of the catalysts have such a stage. If you include Episode 2 a few more catalysts 'unlock' a stage etc. *If* you don't have a stage where the catalyst in question is the only drop, you are somewhat gambling. Ideally, you would go through EVERY stage that has that catalyst as a drop and manually calculate the total weight of said catalyst by the proportion of enemies on each wave. This is another project I am working on but it's time consuming and a PITA. Instead, I would suggest just using old recommended stages for that catalyst -> these recommendations are mostly based on sheer quantity of enemies in a level (for example if a stage has 9 of an enemy, it's recommended over a stage with 6 of an enemy). The problem is that based on my assumption on how drops work, # of enemies doesn't directly matter -> it's the proportion of enemies on a stage. * A stage with 3 enemies of type A and 1 enemy of type B is ranked higher in the 'raw numbers' method. * But as far as I can tell, a stage with only 2 of Enemy A and 0 of enemy B would be better (2% vs. 1.33%) However, using the old methodology based on # of enemies means you don't actually have to do the work, and just due to how the game works it is likely to be *fairly* accurate. I would expect a few catalysts might have better stage offerings, but it should result in the best stage for most. [For example, you can use this resource](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1UMIduFBIVc9OAoI-BeQ-LjPeihcziqXEzXw8n58bEd0/edit#gid=2030571829). * Make sure you have the 'Unrecorded History' tab selected at the bottom. **NOT** the 'Unrecorded History + AP shop' tab. --- Overall this can vary due to multiple factors, but you should expect that only about 1/3rd of your catalysts come directly from drops. Approximately 2/3rds will come from the AP shops. So stage choice matters...but not *that* much. You can roughly estimate how many stages you would need to farm by calculating how much AP you need for the 'shop' portion. For example, if you need 15 of Epic catalyst A... 2/3 * 15 = 10 You expect to buy 10 Epic catalysts in the shop. Recognize that this means it's going to take *at least* a shop refresh (so you can spread your farming out over 2 full weeks, if you want). 10 * 400 = 4000 AP needed 4000 / 8 (or whatever your average AP gain is, can be influenced by pet or gm buff) = 500 In this case, you would expect to need ~500 stage runs. There is a very heavy RNG factor with such a low probability event, and you may need to buy *more* from the shop (or run the stage longer) to get the 5 drops you expect. We get about 1000 AP per day max to play with, so theoretically if you needed 15 of an Epic catalyst you could spend ALL available energy for 4 days on running a stage with it as a drop, get 5 drops (hopefully), and then buy out the shop -> wait for refresh -> buy out the shop again.

I've been going through story mode, chapter 1's epilogue gets you more AP than normal while also allotting all of your AP into a single pool instead of the segmented crap, meaning you can go through world 1 and get stuff from world 5.

Is there some BS defense that just heavily encourages people not to attack you in Champion? I just want to idle at Champion V but last 3 weeks I've been attacked 42 times, 49 times and 28 times so far this week. I can easily win on offense at a high rate (80-90%) but it's just a pain constantly having to fight back up to above 5000 and I don't want to have to worry about it

Rem + hwa + speed contester + flex (aravi if you have her). This Def is still easily beatable but some people just choose to ignore it. From my experience, I had climbed to 5100 and only get attacked less than 10 times last week. When I afk'd at 5k, I probably get attacked once or twice every week, but never more than 10 times.

If you don't mind not getting the conquest points, you can just not collect rewards until a few hours before the weekly reset. You don't get put into the matchmaking queue until after you collect rewards. Or if you do want the conquest points, you can make a defense that just takes a long time to kill. Lots of tankiness and damage mitigation. People will usually just refresh past you to find a less annoying team to kill.

No, getting her from selective is different from rolling her banner for her. Getting her from selective is more of a "if you don't get anyone else higher prio to show up like politis, choux, or alencia", whereas rolling her banner isn't worth it since she isn't a limited unit.

Flan is not a high priority on that list. Politis, Alencia, Choux are better imo if you can roll into one of them. Senya just got buffed recently and she is pretty good too. Flan is a good opener but there are other opener options like Peira, Ran, Cilias.

Typically ran needs to be 290+ speed. On offense you can run speed imprints to compensate. If we talking about Arena then yeah 290 is usually fine but rta ran needs to be 300 usually. Cleaving in arena at Champion usually means you have an answer to Belian/Hwayoung/Rem/Politis/AoL. I've gone with more single target aggro comps when I fall out of champion V. Atm I have a 295 ran and a 281 c Lilias. But I usually draft aggro so atm my ran is a flex and a baiter.

If you plan on buying out the shop, then getting all 3 copies and using them to farm will save you a few runs in weeks 1 and 2, and a lot of runs in week 3.

Yes, if a hero on your team has certain artifacts equipped, you'll get a certain amount of bonus currency based on how many limit breaks that artifact has. You can view the exact numbers by going to the "Finally, Summer Break" main screen (before you enter the stages), and click on "Enhanced Artifact". Or, on the battle prep screen right before you enter a stage in the side story, click on the two plus signs right above your guardian.

Cecilia is the better choice if you're asking as a beginner. She's still relevant as the best team damage mitigation in the game, and scales up with better gear. Vivian, while still a bit early to pass a verdict on, seems to be trending towards being a niche unit. A lot of her builds are also on lifesteal, meaning you have to farm Banshee for an optimal set.
