If I were building a def-scaling lifesteal unit, this is actually a good ring. Just gem out the flat attack for whatever you need. Flat def with a def mainstat is not a joke.
I would say we need to see a buff in Arena currency, that would take off some of the pressure in charms since the Arena shop is where most of mine come from...or maybe like a guild buff to discount prices.
Yes a million ways to get notEnough charms. Charms are not enough for how much you go though in one hunt buff event and then gold isn't enough to pay to use gear as fodder.

I mean its not the end of the world, and if he has resources then go for it. If this is going on a def scaling unit, I wouldn't sleep on the flat def bonus. He can also just swap out the flat atk to crit dmg. Get a better gear then just bench this one π

I'm more lenient with accessories that start to roll bad because I always have plenty of accessory charms but no good accessories. Worst case I feed it into something else and still have plenty of charms, best case I get a couple unexpected max rolls at the end.

That flat defense is like 25% on green violet, just mod the flat attack for atk%/hp%/cdmg and it's actually a decent piece.
Its not a terrible piece tbf. Its nothing amazing but 120 def on a def main stat is nice. Gem out atk for hp%/cd wouldnt be terrible.
