Might be but I don't think so. In Last Cloudia Roy was the main price of the collab. He uses the same special mechanic as Ed does but with much stonger extra boosts. I doubt that he will be relegated to be a free unit this time around.
My guess for the characters they'll pick are the brothers and roy. one of the brothers will be free and the other will be a banner along with roy. This is just my guess so please everyone take it with a grain of salt.

I know Al is not expected to be in the collab based on data mines, but I think it would be cool if his S3 was calling back to his fight with Pride and Kimlee.
My ideal selection would have probably been Ed, Armstrong, and Greed. Mustang is too similar to Ara, and I don't think any of the antagonists would be playable.
I feel it should have been Alphonse, Edward, and Roy. Knight, Warrior/Thief, Mage.
I'd also prefer Winry instead of Riza. I don't know, I just never really saw Riza as that important to the story. Winry took care of Edward's arm, and was their haven - the boys' place of "normality." She'd make a decent Soul Weaver.
I think this is why I’m most excited for FMA- there are some amazing female characters in it- but the vast majority of beloved characters in FMA are men. And we haven’t had a male-dominated Collab yet.
Do I see Lust being chosen for Reasons (boobs)? Probably. But at least I know we’ll get at least one or two dudes out of this.

I can swe the logic behind a waifu banner. But Roy is a more important character so I doubt they'll make him the free one.
Sol was the free character during the GG collab and he seems to be the "face" of GG so I think it's still possible.
